We’ve stayed here like 5 times before cruises… It’s OK, but not outstanding. It’s nice that there are restaurants you can walk to close by… Mini Pita is highly recommended… the pizza place is pretty good, and there is McDonalds practically in the parking lot. Win-Dixie groceries in the same strip mall.
The hotel has a free airport shuttle… but it *stops running* at Midnight… so if you are on a late flight, you are out of luck. Lyft from the airport to the hotel is about $25. When the shuttle is available, from past experience… it seems to take a long time for it to arrive… we’ve waited more than half an hour in the past. I’m pretty sure the midnight shutdown of the shuttle is new… I checked my best western app and could see we stayed here almost exactly a year ago, and I remember it was after midnight… and we took the shuttle from the airport… so I think it’s changed.
Breakfast is pretty good, but it’s over at 9:30… so if you sleep in, you may miss it… and with cruises… it can get crowded.
Shuttle service to the cruise port is available here, but you need to book it at least the night before. It costs $15 per person. I haven’t used it for the last 3 years because Lyft for two to the cruise port is about $15, so if there are more than one of you, you might consider Lyft or uber. Also, the hotel gives you a card with instructions on how to book the shuttle, and the first couple of times I tried to access the website, I was redirected to a site that does web design. I think it was because I had a VPN turned on on my phone… if you run into that, turn VPN off, clear last hour of cache, and it seems to work OK.
The guys at the desk are fine and try to help. Rooms are clean… maids work hard.

I booked before reading the bad reviews about the unreliable shuttle service. Thankfully, the shuttle service worked perfectly for me! I called the front desk when I landed was in a shuttle within 35 minutes. The shuttle for my return trip to the airport was also right on time. The hotel itself was fine. It seemed very clean but my room smelled a bit musty. I didn’t find it to be a big deal. I was also grateful that I was allowed to check-in a little bit early and wasn’t charged an additional fee for doing so. If you want to visit shops and restaurants I’d definitely recommend picking a hotel that’s closer to Las Olas. This hotel isn’t in a “fun” location but there are multiple fast food options, a German restaurant, and a grocery store within walking distance.

We stayed 2 nights prior to our cruise. We arrived 3 hours before check in and were surprised when we were allowed to check in at that time.
The room was perfect, clean , modern and smelled wonderful.
The hotel offers a chair and umbrella rental for $10 a day, and we took advantage of that as it was only a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach.
The hotel location is walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shopping, a $20 uber ride from both the airport and cruise terminal.
The pool was nice, we had a quick before check out.
The room cost included a wonderful breakfast with a variety of items and fresh fruit.
All the staff was friendly, especially Destiny at the front desk and Scott at the morning breakfast.
I have only positive thoughts and would highly recommend staying here

We checked in and after being offered 3 different rooms that all had the same problems we checked out about an hour later. This was on October 9th 2024 and we gladly paid additional to have the room early as we had just arrived via a cruise ship.
This hotel should not even be allowed to have guests in their rooms because of the moisture and air condition problems as there is so much mold , I pity the people who work there you could actually see your foot prints in the moisture on the floor when you walked on it. I have to wonder where the Dept of Health is in Florida!!!!!!
Oh yes, one somewhat minor problem, the elevator doors did not have an automatic stop , not a real problem for us but I could see small child
being injured.
I will say that the lady at the front desk did not hesitate to check us out and refund the cost and call us a cab to go to a different hotel.
I have never written a review like this before but maybe something will be done.

Everyone avoid room 102 behind front desk and next to their storage area. We booked this hotel through AMA here in Alberta on the way to a cruise and to visit with family. The pictures of their rooms on line was not what we received. At first the room smelt deodorized as we entered. This should have been a clue. As the the days progressed the room began to smell musty. We had to keep the A/C on continually to help with the smell. The shower head was glued in a fixed position. We had to fit our bodies as close to the front of the shower and as close to the wall to shower. Because this room was next to their storage room It was noisy, but worst experience was at night. Who moves thing around at 12:00AM in the morning. Shouldn't the clerk know that it would disturb the guest in the next room. At first I thought it was another guest making all the noise. Then after an hour I decided to go complain to the desk only to realize the noise was coming from the room next to ours which was their storage area behind the front desk. When I knocked the response was to go see him at the desk. I explained I don't want to see him I want him to stop the racket he was making and that we could not sleep. His response was, oh sorry but I'm moving some things around. He continued another 20 min until I banged on the wall between our room and theirs. He stopped, but started up again at 4 AM. When I spoke to the female clerk the next morning she played dumb and brushed me off. I asked to speak to the manager but the manager was conveniently not on site but she should speak to the manage for me, because I told her that we should be compensated for that sleepless night. When this happened again the NEXT night, I decided to tape the noise with the intention of playing it for the manager.
Again the manager was not on site and the manager never materialized. The day we were checking out to go on our cruise I told him that we should be compensated for having to put up with the noise for two nights, I was advised then by the clerk that if I checked out they wouldn't be able to compensate me. The manager never materializes.
I will never stay at this hotel again. On our return trip we stayed at the Hampton Inn directly behind them and what a difference.
This room needs a definite make over and better trained staff.

Called the hotel after collecting luggage to ask about shuttle. Man who answered the phone told us where it would stop & that it would be about 15-20 minutes. Thirty minutes after we got to the stop -- still no van. I called back. He rudely said, "It's on the way" and hung up on me! Called back ANOTHER thirty minutes later & the call went straight to music-- not even answered. It was now midnight & we had been waiting just over an hour. About that time, a van arrived. However, there were more people than would fit on the van. A van from another hotel arrived about the same time and the two drivers proceeded to get into a shouting match! No idea what about as they were speaking in another language. The second driver ended up feeling sorry for us & taking the four of us to the Best Western. When we arrived at the property -- there was NO apology from the front desk guy. Acted like we were bothering him with showing up so late! The other couple on the van with us were elderly and obviously beyond tired. "Employee" had no compassion on them & did not offer any assistance -- even after everything we had all been dealing with! It wasn't because he was busy -- there were only the four of us in the lobby!
Property itself has deteriorated greatly from my last stay there about a year ago. Looks like they have done no maintenance since then. Except -- they have installed chemical sprayers in the rooms. It shoots spray into the room about every 10-15 minutes. This set off my allergies something crazy. Zero sleep since I was up all night coughing my head off! If they would actually clean they wouldn't have to try to "cover up" anything with allergen chemicals!
I have cancelled my future reservations & have no plans to return. (I cruise frequently from Ft Lauderdale & this is convenient -- but not worth the problems!)

This place is a dump. They are using chemical sprays and plug-in fragrances to cover up mold and mildew from carpet. Makes one wonder what's in the bedding and pillows. The smell is overwhelming and toxic. I got sick. We also had to wash all our clothes at our final destination because mold got into everything. Many other reviews indicate a history of the same problem. This place is a health hazard.
Fyi: There is no free taxi service or no free cruise port transport. But it is advertised. Expect an hour wait from the airport

Stayed here one night before a cruise only because they had a 24 hour shuttle and our flight areived after midnight and other hotels we’ve used in the past did not have shuttles after midnight. When I called hotel from airport the night clerk said shuttle would take 20 min and he pulled up immediately. Shuttle driver driving for several area hotels and was pleasant. Night clerk when checking in looked like a drug addict who was having a bad time. Unkempt and disheveled and personality of a door mat. When I called hotel before booking they said they provide shuttle to cruise ship for a fee, and front desk could arrange. Night clerk said to arrange with day clerk. Asked day clerk and was advised they don’t have a shuttle and asked for a later check out other than 11am and would not give us a late check out. Hotel was not full. We only saw 4 others at breakfast.
Noise of workers outside the hotel woke us up. Air conditioning was not working well and a few hours after adjusting thermostat it finally worked. Beds hard, minimal bedding and too soft pillows. Room had coffee maker, alarm clock, iron and ironing board, microwave and refrigerator. Bathroom has small bar of soap, shower cap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Breakfast area did not appear to have tables cleaned after others left, and tables not distanced and masks not required in food area. Only a hand sanitizing area at front desk and not in eating area. Did not feel COVID protocols were very good at all. Breakfast was adequate. Juice, hot chocolate, ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, individually wrapped apples, yogurt, cereal. Breakfast stopped at 9:30am and right at 9:30 they closed everything down quickly and even turned off juice machine. Would not stay here again due to attitude of night clerk and day clerk, and their not so helpful attitudes. Find another place.

We rented a room at this hotel for a place to hang out and relax before our departing flight out of FLL. We had been staying in a condo on the Hollywood Broadwalk and had to vacate by 11am. Our departing flight was at 9:30 pm. We found a day rate at this hotel for $120 from noon to 5 pm so we booked it. Upon arrival at 11:30 we were told we had to wait for our room to be ready. We didn’t gain access to the room until 12:30 but were not permitted to stay till 5:30 to make up for the lost half hour. The room itself had a strong smell of pet odor. I think it was in the rug and overpowered us so much we were not able to stay in there. We ended up sitting by the pool under an umbrella for shade. The pool itself did not seem heated as I could not swim because of the temperature and it was filled with leaves. There is a McDonald’s in the same parking lot. The bathroom was clean. The maids don’t speak English so attempts to ask for anything is useless. We took advantage of the free shuttle to the airport.

Yes, there is a shopping center within walking distance with a liquor store, grocery store and restaurants.
The airport is just a few miles from the hotel. The hotel shuttle runs every hour on the hour and gets you there fairly quickly. However, don’t push your time because the shuttle may have other hotel passengers to pick up before dropping you at the airport. The shuttle is nice because they drop you directly at the Terminal
It's 24 hours, just call when you get there to make sure they have a shuttle on the way to pick you up.
