Ocean Manor Beach Resort boasts a prime location that guests find ideal, nestled conveniently close to the beach, which enhances its appeal. While many guests commend the resort for its cleanliness and the stunning views it offers, opinions on the rooms are mixed, with some travelers encountering well-kept accommodations and others experiencing neglect. The service garners praise for the staff's friendly demeanor, though it can be hit or miss. Despite the positive remarks on atmosphere and amenities, some reviewers warn about extra fees and question the resort's value for money.

First the good. The resort is great- 5 stars. Location excellent. There are not too many onsite bars at other hotels. Be sure to check out Circuit golf carts to get around. IT'S Free, plus tip. There is a grocery store within a walk or take Circuit if you want to stock up on beverages and snaks, just download the app to connect. I highly recommend the onsite Italian restaurant. The marinara is some of the best I have had and sometimes they have entertainment. There is also a Tiki bar right on the beach access although they do not let you take alcohol to the beach. I think it is a city rule. The employees are friendly and helpful. The Ugly… The pool didn't look clean. The room was awful. The manager upgraded our room to a suite facing the beach and I was excited until I saw the room. My original room had a balcony, this room did not, but my room was a beach view not beach front. The bed was so old it was sagging and very uncomfortable. The bathroom also unsightly and didn’t feel clean. Even if I wanted to cook in that kitchen I wouldn’t. There was sand on the tile the whole time we were there which means the maids are not doing a good job. My suggestion if to go to VRBO and book an owner’s condo. They have been mostly remodeled and look to be about the same price because you can’t beet the location. There are a lot of restaurants north of the hotel about 7 tenths of a mile and it’s a nice walk on the beach.

There are pros and cons to this hotel. It is in a superb location, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and at the Beach Bistro. The food at the Bistro was also very tasty, and we ordered there for lunch and dinner.

The reason I gave 3 stars is due to a few room things and what I believe was sort of deceiving. First, the amenities say "Airport Shuttle". You can get a private driver, but it was $50 to get transportation to the airport. When I see "included amenities", it gives the notion that it is included in the room price.

The room itself was clean, but definitely lacking, if not run down. It appeared to be missing furniture. There was a large space for maybe what would be a table and chairs, but just a mini fridge on the floor. No trash can in the room either. We had to eat on the beds while we set up the ironing board for the kids to eat off of. The Bistro advertised room service, but they said they don't do that. The in room menu also needed updating, as our total was $20 more than expected bc the menu was out of date.

The fixtures in the bathroom were rusted as there was no fan, and it appeared that part of the shower door was missing, so it was replaced with a crooked and rusty tension rod.

If we had paid under $300 for the room, I would overlook these things for location and the fabulous staff, but not worth the $410 a night, plus $50 Shuttle. There's a good possibility we just had bad luck with the room, but simply sharing our experience.

If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. Do NOT believe the pictures on the website. The actual rooms look nothing like what is advertised. Our room has paint peeling off the wall, stained sheets, dead lightbulbs & again, looks nothing like the pictures. For the price you pay, you expect to get something close to the pictures, in reality you walk into a room worth less than half.
When I addressed these concerns with the manager, he was rude and dismissive. During this conversation I was informed that all units are actually individually owned condos - a fact that is NOT disclosed on the resort website. This means that no rooms are alike (I question if the rooms in the pictures even exist) and are in whatever state the owner leaves them. Why is this not initially disclosed??? When I questioned the price, I was told “that is the going rate” & they have an “80% guest return rate” so he was unsure why I had so many concerns. Other groups in our party have the same concerns and have also complained with the same result - nothing! All the manager said was he could send housekeeping to “check the sheets”. Nothing to address the bigger issues at hand.
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. False advertisement paired with rude management is not a good combination.

I do not know what the high rave is about this hotel. My kids could not wait to go to the pool. Yes it was warm and heated pool but the overall pool was dirty, it made the water look dirty . We had to call the front desk to ask them at 3 pm to clean the room to which they had stated they have until 5 pm to clean the room. At 540 no one had cleaned the room. We complained again and when we returned from dinner at 8 it was made up, the floors were not vacuumed as there were crumbs and dirt that was there whe. We first left the room in the morning. The outlets were hanging by a thread, for $300 a night they should at least make the room look like it’s worth the money.

The MOST DISGUSTING room ever stayed in. It should not be occupied.

We booked an efficiency room with Kitchenette. The website shows beautiful photos of clean, modern rooms and kitchenettes. The description shows microwave, coffee maker along with stove and kitchen utensils.

Kitchenette area was old & decrepit. The stove top electric burner was not plugged into the stove. The burners were filled with baked on rust and not usable. old Teflon frying pan scratched and filthy, so the Teflon coating was gone. Old moldy kitchen sponge left at sink by housekeeping. NO microwave, NO coffee machine.

NO telephone in the room to call the front desk (when we told the person at the front desk, he laughed and said we must be in the one of un-renovated rooms). Hotel was sold out, so couldn’t move to another room.

NO electric outlets at the bed area so lamps at nightstand were not plugged in. Outlets were on the other side of the room. There was one old floor lamp with a 30 watt bulb on the other side of the room, so not much light in this room.
King bed pushed against windows with large headboard so the windows couldn’t open and had to step on the bed to open the shades.

The bathroom had rust and mold.
There was no towel bar on the towel rack (just side brackets) so could not hang a towel.
There was no bar in the toilet paper holder (just brackets) so could not hold the roll of toilet paper.
It is amazing that Ocean Manor Beach Resort is actually giving this room to their guests. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Stayed here for a few nights recently. The location is within walking distance of grocery store, coffee spots and restaurants which makes it very convenient.

There’s a very good Italian restaurant onsite, attend happy hour if you can. The Tiki Bar on the beach front is fun and you can get a bite to eat there too.

The place is non-smoking but all night long, we experienced the smell of smoke in our room.

The elevators were quick. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place is sad and tired. We went for our 30th anniversary because we were unable to stay at our place in Fort Meyers Beach because of the storm. We should have known as soon as we walked in to turn around. The feeling as you enter does not feel like you’re in a quality resort. When we went to our first room, the smell of mildew was overwhelming. Then we were given 2 queen beds when we asked for a king bed. The second room was worse. The mildew smell was still present. We were only staying 4 nights and thought we could just tough it out. The bathroom was dated, the kitchenette was beat, the reclining couch was trashed. We unpacked and shortly after, there was a huge leak in the bedroom coming from above the closet. Called the front desk to get it repaired. The 2 men were sawing away drywall and pulling out insulation while we had clothes in the closet, with no regard for our personal items. We were then told it would take several days to repair. We packed up our belongings and went back down to the front desk to get another room. After being told they couldn’t find us a room, I suggested we find another place. Eventually, we were told how lucky we were to get upgraded to the penthouse. When we got to that room, there was a folding divider to the other room with a huge gap underneath… thankfully there was no one in there… the ceilings and walls were all poorly repaired from years of leaks, the cabinets were old and smelly, the drapes were old and smelly and it took literally 20 minutes to get hot water for a shower. We finally were able to get down to the beach by 3:30 in the afternoon, mind you we arrived at 9:30AM. The beach chairs were 100 years old and not comfortable. The next day, we decided to try to sit at the pool.. cigarette butts everywhere, candy wrappers and garbage all around, most of the chairs were broken and there was a pile of dog crap on the side of the pool. That’s when we decided we just couldn’t stay another day. We checked out early the next morning and over a month later, we still have not been refunded for the 2 nights we didn’t stay. They completely ignored checking us out. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. I’m surprised this place is still standing.

This was one of our least favorite hotel experiences! When we arrived, we asked for a Queen or kind sized bed and that obviously wasn’t available so we were ‘upgraded’ to a room with two double beds and a balcony with a street view. The room was very clean and had a strong odor of bleach. But that’s where the cleaning ended! We stayed four nights and only had our room cleaned once when we requested it. We had to go to the front desk for fresh towels and toilet paper on three occasions. Our garbages were emptied and used towels taken twice (but not replaced with fresh towels) and the floors weren’t cleaned or beds made/changed. There was no water one day from 12-3 pm. One night an alarm rang at midnight and a recording notified us there was a fire in the building and everyone had to leave via the stairways. Parking is across the street and coats $15 per day!! If you want your vehicle in the hotel parking lot, you have to use valet parking and pay tips in addition to the $15/day. There is an Italian restaurant and a lounge area as well as a small snack shop in the lobby. The tiki bar in the back by the beach serves excellent food and large portions. Showers at the pool don’t work so sand gets tracked from the beach right into the pool, making it look dirty. Our room was extremely noisy as we were across from the elevator and had an adjoining door to a couple with a large noisy dog who would bark right at our door. They left their light on at night which shone around the door. We could hear them talking loudly late at night. If you travel with pets, this might be the hotel for you!

We booked this hotel on Trip Advisor reviews and 4.5 stars. It is evident as soon as you walk in front foyer that his hotel has been lip sticked with a coat of white paint everywhere except for all the old rusty metal thats still around. Front desk was very nice, pool lovely and their tikki bar had decent food. Had to pay $10 for chairs each and umbrellas on beach.
Our room reeked of smoke so badly as well as the whole hallway. Went to front desk to change rooms. Next room our throat burned from all the bleach they used to disinfect something in that room. Showed us another room. Moved all of our things and went for dinner. Came back to see there is a Home Depot quality bedroom door with a cheap slide lock. We could see 2 inches under the door and 3" up in door frame. Next we heard Johnny being called for dinner and kitchen chairs rustling around directly on other side of door. We then realized the owners were next door and they rent out their bedroom!!! We didn't wait long enough to hear them snore all night. No privacy at all! We packed up our bags and ran. Lost our money for the 1 night stay but they did reimburse us for the 2nd night ONLY because we booked directly with them not with an outside agency.
Lessons to be learned here, do not trust all the reviews. We were so disappointed as we had not travelled in a few years.
