All 3 courses are fantastic and offer their own unique features. Red and Blue are beautiful while Black offers you holes unlike others you have played. The food on the courses is unique and better than most. The rooms on property are also nice.
We recently visited Streamsong for a short golf vacation and it was wonderful. Great golf courses and excellent accommodations & food. The one impressive thing that we noticed was that the staff really enjoyed working there, which implies excellent management. Very good overall experience at...More
Visited the resort at the beginning of the year and loved everything about it. Four to five stars in every area, especially the golf. Returned over the Thanksgiving weekend and sadly had a different experience due to the fact that several outlets were closed as...More

Only just seen your question as I answered on another topic. Went to Streamsong at the end of December. It depends on how much of a purist you are, if the score is the most important thing for you then definitely you need a caddy, if on the other you have lower expectations of playing a challenging course for the first time, then you may not. We played all 3 courses with no caddie, we were not required to use one even for the Black Course. There are lots of blind holes, but we are used to links golf, my husband is excellent at reading the course guides and using his GPS, and we are low handicap golfers. Make sure you have updated your GPS as the Black being new may not be loaded. My Garmin was a year old and didn't have this course on. Tried to update on our MacBook Pro but apparently needs to be upgraded on Windows before software can download on a Mac!!! The greens are particularly undulating, and putting on the Roundabout practice area will certainly give you an indication of what to expect!! If you are used to walking, then carrying will be no problem if you choose not to have a caddy, the course had a few areas where the wide wheel buggy which I used was hard to navigate! It is a fabulous resort, very different for the US, the whole experience will be great even if your score isn't!
