from the moment you pull up they make you feel welcome. check in was a breeze the staff gave me a nice tour of the main floor and used that time to answer any questions i may of had they offer a nice little snack corner with all kinds of great snacks for what seemed a fair price..they did have a restaurant but it does not open till next month but had a stylish look to it and they offered sandwiches and salads and such the hotel has a new smell to it and you would like this compared to a older musty smell .. . safety is of great concern they are making sure to follow all guide lines .. my room had a king size bed two large windows the bathroom was roomie mine had no tub but a really large walk in shower plenty of towels the toilet was high enough for my liking older hotels have a much lower style . there was not a grab bar in the shower and i wished there was but if you are in need of a handicapped room they have many available . in your room there is two complimentary bottles of water and a very modern coffee machine with plenty of cups and it tasted great.. the ice machine was close to the elevator. large tv with lots of channels .. important to know you must valet park your car its 17 dollars a day but you are so close to the hospital va and shands you could not ask for a better or closer place to stay.. they ask you if you need a wake up call in case you have early appointments or you have lots on your mind and might forget. they offer some kind of breakfast for a price but they do have one. noise level being so close to street was not a issue for me they have a little machine that makes noise to drown that out. check out was a breeze and they ask for feed back and seem to really care about answers.they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and like a true guest.. they even offer water for the ride home on a hot summer day .. they do offer meeting rooms as well but no really large groups . so if you like a great clean place to stay with comfy beds for what they offer it is a fair market price i used hotel booking sight but had no problems doing that.. they have shampoo , body wash and cream rinse in larger bottles in the shower to use . they have plenty of outlets to plug in electronics and usb for phones on each side of bed ..

Perfectly located between the shopping mecca and downtown Gainesville, and next to the UF medical facilities (with door to door golf cart shuttle service). Some of my favorite features: Peloton bikes in the fitness center; very clean and sanitary rooms; in-room Nespresso machine; white noise machine by the bed (although I didn’t need it); and L’occitane bath products, free valet service, and ceiling to floor windows on the lake side of the property. The food at Covey Kitchen + Cocktails is worth stopping in for even if you’re not staying at the hotel.

Our first time at the Hotel and won’t be our last. Modern, clean, and comfortable, the Eleo was fantastic for our football weekend. Kayla, Jamarius, and Cynthia at the front office were friendly, professional and very efficient. The staff all around the hotel are genuinely pleasant and helpful. In addition, the Covey Kitchen bartenders, hostesses, and servers went above and beyond during a very busy weekend without ever being short or frustrated.
Housekeeping provided extra linens quickly and were seen about the hotel maintaining the spotless atmosphere. If there is any suggestion we could offer, it would be to add some mirrors in the weight room and enlarge it in the future if possible. Thank you so much to all for a wonderful weekend!!

Be aware this hotel is Valet only. This is not disclosed anywhere when making a reservation, on the confirmation or on the hotel policy that simply states “Private parking is available on site (reservation is not needed)”. Yet, the Front Desk attendant kept repeating that “Valet only” is the hotel policy but she could not produce any written document stating that. She even went as far as threatening to cancel my reservation if I didn’t use Valet. Another woman who appeared to be a Maintenance/Security employee got involved. She didn’t want to state her position when asked. She was very rude, disrespectful, and just made the situation worse.
I ended up parking in the hospital next door per the Valet runner’s recommendation. This was a better choice anyway, since I saw Valet was parking vehicles in a dirt lot across the street.
The Front Desk attendant appeared to be a college student, with an attitude, not wearing a name tag, and clearly with no hospitality training. I requested to speak to a Manager. None were on site. The Front Desk attendant went to hide behind the front desk wall three times to call the Manager but refused to let me speak to him despite multiple requests.
I had reserved a room with two queen beds. When arriving to our room, it was a king bed with a sofa bed which cost us another trip to the front desk to get the correct room.
Restaurant hours posted on the hotel website are 7am to 10pm. When I went to the restaurant at 9:07pm, I was informed that the kitchen closes at 9pm.
Last but not least, the hotel website FAQs indicates “All Staff are required to wear masks” yet no employees were wearing masks. Both my wife and I tested positive for Covid following our stay at the ELEO. While we cannot prove it came from the hotel, we have good reasons to believe it did.
The hotel itself looks nice but a hotel is more than a building with rooms. Without trained staff following published policies, procedures, and hours of operations, the experience cannot be a good one.
We will NOT be staying at ELEO again the next time we visit Gainesville.

I loved my big room at Hotel Eleo with the large panorama windows facing the water, but I'm puzzled that an expensive hotel like this has such a bad cleaning policy. I stayed for four nights, and the hotel would only clean my room on the third day.

When I asked if they at least could change it to halfway through my stay, meaning the second daym which still meant they only needed to clean it once, the receptionist said no.

So, I made a reservation to have the room cleaned the third morning at 9 which didn't happen, so now I got angry which is rare. Finally, at twelve when I was about to work in my room, the cleaner arrived, and she thought it was strange that my room hadn't been cleaned before so they must have different policies for different folks? And no, don't take this out on your cleaners. I talked to several and they were just honest!

The hotel did compensate me for the "misunderstanding" which I appreciate, but a first-class hotel shouldn't get away with this. The room costs $300+ including taxes a night and I had to put my garbage can in the hall because nobody bothered to check on anything in my room.

I did have a good meal in the restaurant, and I liked the hotel overall, even though the surroundings are very corporate and are most suited for people who need to go to the hospital, but please change your cleaning policy or lower your prices considerably!

Thank you for staying with us at the Hotel Eleo at The University of Florida! While we're happy that you enjoyed our spacious accommodations, stunning views, and excellent on-site dining, it's disheartening that we were unable to completely win you over. We understand that our updated guidelines have meant a change in the way some services are offered, including housekeeping, and we regret if the process fell short of expectations. Our team will use your comments to be sure we're consistently providing the exceptional hospitality for which we're known. Please allow us a second chance to work to earn another star or two.

I have been to Hotel Eleo twice now, once to tour the property and see all of the rooms, meeting space, gym, and hotel lobby. The second time was to experience the restaurant. Both experiences were excellent. From the moment you pull up, you are greeted with a s mile by the valet, front desk, and hotel staff. The property is beautiful and well kept, with the best cleaning practices in place. The restaurant staff is also very friendly and was helpful when giving menu tips for ordering. The chicken sandwich I had was amazing. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu at Covey Kitchen + Cocktails. Hotel Eleo encompasses the true meaning of hospitality in Gainesville for UF.

Everything about this hotel was great! The rooms are nice and surprisingly much larger than I thought they would be. It was very well maintained and kept clean. The staff is what made the hotel so great! Everyone I came into contact with went out of there way to ensure we had a great stay. It is clear that the hotel leadership team places a high value on customer service. The restaurant team and food was great. Chef Charlie was visible and always asked if we were pleased. Jeremy, Jenn, Ashley, Kendall and Autumn were all amazing. The valet team led by Ken and River were also amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Gainesville. They are top notch! Thank you

Finally Gainesville has a luxury hotel option! Hotel Eleo was everything. Yes the price point is high but they match the expectations. The valet was timely and efficient. I loved that I could send a text to my room for valet and my vehicle was ready by the time I reached the front lobby. The front desk staff were always helpful and asking if there was anything I needed. The housekeeping staff was also friendly and helpful. I requested additional towels and in less than 10 minutes they were at my door. The rooms are well appointed. They are not super big but they have made the most of the layout. I love that there are two tvs in the room for you to enjoy either on the sofa or from your bed. What was most remarkable about the hotel is that it was FULL during my stay and I had no idea until I checked out. It was so quiet and never felt crowded. The hotel has done a great job with the layout of the hotel and rooms. My only suggestion would be to look at different valet area options. My vehicle was returned somewhat dirty and I assume that is because it was parked in a dirt lot.

So I stayed at this hotel for Memorial Day weekend . I’m glad I did . Valet service was impeccable. Check in was the easiest check in I’ve ever experienced. The rooms very spacious and clean . I had a great view of the lake out front and fountain . I had a slight issue with the hotel not offering maid service unless you stay 3 nights . The hotel manager actually called me and reached out and was generally concerned about my experience and offered help as to next time I’m in town for maid service . My son goes to UF and I visit quite frequently. Just by Ray the manager reaching out means a lot . He really does care about his guests and their quality of their stay . I will definitely stay at this hotel each time I come back . Thank you Ray for your true caring of your hotel guests .

Our stay was awful. Room (City View 2 Queens) looked nothing like the pictures. No couch, only one TV. the room did not fit our family at all, we were so disappointed we left early and stayed at home our final night. We were offered a restaurant credit, which makes no sense considering we were leaving. Management was supposed to get back with us on a proper reconciliation and we have heard nothing. Management said that the rooms on the bend really shouldn't be sold at the same rate, but they did not offer a refund.

The beds are unbearably uncomfortable, you really should consider replacing them. My 9 year old, who can sleep anywhere was the first to notice, once we tried them we realized what she was complaining about. We didn’t get to sleep until after 2am.

Lastly the room smelled strongly of marijuana.

Very disappointed, we stayed here purely because of the setup of the room, which as pictured would have been perfect for a family (a separate couch with TV to allow us to stay up past our young kids.) Instead we were stuck on an uncomfortable bed and craning our neck watching a TV hung at the worse possible angle for viewing.

We were all exhausted and had to cut our trip early as none of us wanted to endure that awful room again.

Your booking and advertising practices are very deceptive.

I emailed the Hotel for resolution and true to form with the rest of our visit, we heard nothing.
