Brand new hotel. Rooms are spacious with partially separated sitting area. comfortable beds, linens etc.Good size mini fridge and coffee maker in room. Perfect for football weekend. Design of hotel made for easy access and parking with side door with quick elevator access from parking lot secured by key card. Staff friendly and helpful. Included buffet breakfast has something for everyone. Pricey but competitive for a two night game weekend game - but overall nice hotel with excellent location.
My group stayed three nights in 6 rooms for a swim meet. Everything at the hotel was great. Front desk service, housekeeping, breakfast, all was very good. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. We found it to be a convenient location for driving to the campus as well as restaurants / shopping in the other direction.
Came in town to watch a Florida Gators game and I cannot imagine a better place to stay! From clean, accommodations, amazing customer service, a tailgate party and a shuttle to the game, every part of the experience is top notch. Great location right off I-75 and near lots of things, this is the place to stay if you are going to Gainesville for any reason, but especially for a game!
From check in to check out and without fail every staff member exceeded the expectations in today's "what do you want society" It was the old school type of service and it starts from the top down. The General Manager is incredible. They have a shuttle and I'm not sure if it runs all day but on Thursday and Friday (the last 2 days of my stay for medical concerns) The General Manager himself drove me to and from the Fixel Istitute (UF Neurology) as well as the bus station the next day. The bus stop was a closed building in a challenging neighborhood he did not just drop me off but showed concern and asked if I wanted him to bring me back later since my bus did not leave for another hour. Housekeeping was impecibile. I asked at the desk and was provided a list of restaurants, even showing which ones were in walking distance. Also I was given a TV listing paper showing me all the channels. The complimentary breakfast was even great (eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, yogurt cereal and more. I can not recommend this hotel enough.…
This was our first time staying in this hotel, although we stay in Gainesville quite a bit. The hotel is only a year and a half or two years old and it is very nicely appointed. Rooms are a good size. The bed was so comfortable. I slept until 8:30; I never sleep that late! The bathroom is very large. There was some noise from the road, but in spite of that, I slept well. Staff at this hotel was so friendly. The man who checked us in, the man who must work maintenance, the man who checked us out. All were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. It might be nice to have some type of high fiber cereal in the future there. The only negative about our stay was that my husband changed the thermostat and I think the heater actually kicked on, and a terribly weird smell came out of the unit. He finally just turned it back down so it wouldn't run because the smell was so strange. Hopefully the manager will read this, because they may want to check that; I totally forgot to inform them. The overall location is great. It is south of Shands Hospital and UF campus. It was very convenient to our UF gator's apartment complex. If you were here and had to walk to a UF game, you could, if you don't mind walking a bit. There is a vacant building next door which is not very pretty to look at, but it seems like the Gainesville landscape is constantly changing. We normally stay at a different hotel, but it was fully booked, so we stayed here since it was reasonably priced. I would certainly stay again in the future.…
No channel guide, no restaurant delivery list, no soap dish...BUT IMMACULATELY CLEAN...and the mattress was excellent! Staff: 1st shift, Misael, Front Desk Staff...friendly, welcoming, engaging, he trated me like family and I felt like being at home...I am adopting him as a secret satellite grandson. THANK YOU! Happy customer :)
When we arrived late at night Jason was extremely helpful and helped us get an amazing room. This hotel is great for a overnight stay when traveling! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend
I was quite impressed. I am a Hilton's silver honors. Paid a ton of money to get sub-par rooms and rude treatment from arrogant staff. I chanced upon the Comfort Suites Gainsville Fl. Lower rates than Hilton, Free hot breakfast, not just oatmeal and grits. Furniture that is not broken, coffee pots that work. And staff that takes care of their guest. I do not just recommend a stay here during your travels, I HIGHLY recommend it. You will not be disapointed. The rooms are twice the size of Hilton, 50 inch HD tv, sitting room. Clean, very clean. And very well run. 5 stars.
I originally booked 2 rooms next door on graduation weekend in Gainesville, FL. The motel was filthy, bug infested, mold & mildew, AC didn't work, and 1 of the room was used(wasn't cleaned). My kids threaten to sleep in the car. So, I walked next door to Comfort Suites. I encountered Jason at the front desk, very friendly & professional. It was after midnight but there were 2 rooms left. I immediately rented 1 of them. The room was immaculate and so clean. It was thee times the price of the other motel and well worth it, "You get what you pay for". But the free breakfast made up for the price. I went back to the motel next door to return the rooms and run into several more guest with similar issues that was also checking out. The manager next door was so kind to cancel our rooms without any arguments. Then Priceline effortlessly gave me a refund.…
The hotel is pretty new and has been kept clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I had an afternoon flight out on check out day and I asked for a late check out. Since the hotel was not booked very full that day, I was allowed a few extra hours. I'll definitely stay here again.
