The Laurel Oak Inn is a beautifully restored and well-maintained bed and breakfast with lovely grounds. The hosts Peggy and Monta were very welcoming and made breakfasts that could be featured in a gourmet magazine. The bed was extremely comfortable and they provided fluffy towels and fragrant shampoos and lotions. The inn is conveniently located in Gainesville near restaurants, theater...

My husband and I stayed overnight on our way down to southern Fl. We were not disappointed! Lovely clean room. Nice porch and grounds. Walking distance to great restaurants, Paramount Grille being one of them. Enjoyed our stay. Will be back!

I stayed with Peggy and Monta while in Gainesville for work for four nights. I have never stayed at a B&B before and I doubt I'll find anywhere that can top this experience. The home is lovely, their service is amazing, and I was extremely comfortable all week. My room was on the first floor and the bed was beyond...

What a lovely stay we had at Laurel Oak Inn. I found myself singing often -"These are a few of my favorite things!" Coffee ready for pouring when I awake, a wide porch for cooling off after a run, Aveda Rosemary Mint toiletries, a delicious breakfast, a comfortable bed, hospitable hosts, a glass of wine in the afternoon with good...

This is the best Bed and Breakfast! The hosts Peggy and Monta were gracious and friendly. We were greeted with smiles and a cocktail and even provided turn down service. The house was beautifully restored and comfortable. The Laurel Oak Inn is a MUST place to stay. We will definitely return!

Room was on the first floor. Very comfortable. The bed is a Tempur-pedic so extremely comfortable. Bathroom is modern. Room has pretty antiques. Outside ambience is nice (water fountains and 2 friendly cats that will let you pet them). Breakfast was out of this world (several courses: assorted fruits (changes daily); muffin or drop biscuit, main breakfast, assorted juices). Looked...

We stayed with Peggy and Monta for a second time at the Laurel Oak Inn. My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's throughout the U.S. - this one is our favorite and the best. We will return whenever we are in Gainesville and a room is available.

My husband and I stayed overnight at the Laurel Oak Inn in April for a quick visit to Gainesville. We do not typically stay at B&Bs but were impressed by the reviews on Trip Advisor and were very happy that we were able to make a reservation there. We stayed in "The Lily" which is a lovely, quiet and very...

Wow, what a beautiful place! I was so surprised and impressed to learn that Monta and Peggy do all of this themselves! It's first class in every way! The breakfast was especially delicious. And, Monta and Peggy are lovely people! What a pleasure to stay with them!
