Just stayed at this hotel. I had paid in advance for 2 night stay (king size room). My husband ended up coming with me. The desk never stated that they we going to charge me extra for my husband. They had thanked my for paying in advance. Hilton headquarter would only give me an email address for my compliant as hotel would not make the adjustment.

As a Hilton Honors member, I had not ever stayed in a Hilton Garden Inn before… But it was the only room available on the Hilton app, while I was traveling today for Memorial Day weekend. Did not expect much, and was pleasantly surprised. The girl who checked me in was very sweet, but unfortunately I cannot spell or pronounce her beautiful name that she told me. she wasn’t your usual check in hotel guest person. Also, I am amazed at how quiet it was... Best sleep ever. On another note, there’s every place imaginable that you could want to shop, or eat, within a stones throw out.

The Gainesville Hilton Garden Inn became our evacuation refuge. Everyone was helpful and kind, especially Mr. Jones at check in. Skip the breakfast… $17.95 for scrambles and bacon, no bread is a bit steep… there is a Cracker Barrel very nearby.

Horrible hotel. I'm a Diamond Hilton member, and this has me rethinking using this company for all of my upcoming trips. I Booked this stay on 9/11/22 while at the airport l, and made an error on the date I needed to arrive on. Currently out of the country, so calling is a bit difficult with the major time zone differences. Tried cancelling on the app, but cancellation policy on the app says I had to cancel before August 18... wtf? I had to cancel BEFORE I even booked? Before you book, it claims you can cancel up until the day you check in. However, the app does NOT allow you to. Just lost 50k points because of their error with cancellation times and unwillingness to work with me. Read your fine print. Management is a joke here. Will be contacting HQ HILTON when I am back in the US.

Breakfast put a bad ending on a good stay. When we checked in the reservationist told us what time breakfast was served but failed to tell us it was not complementary. The next morning we came down and got a plate and started to get our food and was asked what room we were in and were then told that the buffet was $12 each plus tax. There were no obvious signs that it was not complementary. That was certainly an unwelcome surprise but the breakfast was also terrible. Less choices than our previous morning’s breakfast at another hotel and barely edible. I’ve had much better complimentary breakfasts at other hotels. It was not worth free let alone $24 plus taxes. If you’re a hotel and you are going to charge extra for the breakfast, don’t hide it and serve decent quality food.

This was a great place to stay for a quick trip. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which also has dining throughout the day, which was very convenient. It’s easy to get to the hotel, which was located right buy a lot of restaurants and stores.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Gainesville is a quality hotel. It is clean and personnel are polite, welcoming and efficient! Sadly, the restaurant and bar were not open due to Covid, but there are many restaurants in the area. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Hotel slipped a notice under my door my first night there saying that they needed to access my room for carpet cleaning. Since I have my service animal I told them I needed to move into another hotel because I couldn’t take the dog into my work. They said they didn’t want to make me have to do that and after speaking several times to the front desk after they spoke to the General manager. Finally they said I could move into a room that they do the carpets in first so they could let me move into a new room to clean my rooms carpets. Well…I had a camera in my room and I saw someone had come into my room even though they said they would call me so I could move my service dog and belongings. I had my do not enter sign on my door. They entered unlawfully. This hotel doesn’t care about your rights or if you have a disability. The general manager hides in his office so the front line people have to deal with problems. Wish i could leave no stars. This is a looser hotel. Oh and I’m s diamond member. Is this any way to treat a loyal customer???????????

You may be unaware that you spoke to me at the hotel as I offered myself to discuss this issue after learning of the escalation. At no point was I against directly addressing this concern with you. We have escalated this issue to the Hilton Diamond Desk and are working with them and your company to bring a reasonable solution to this. I am sorry you left with such strong negative feelings about my hotel and staff. It was the end of a long couple days of vacationing with the Mouse. Thought we would get on the road and put a few hours to get home closer. I chose the Hilton Garden Inn based on great experiences that I had around Chicago Hiltons. Well the contactless check in was not. We had to stop by the front desk to provide a card for “incidentals”. We were charged $50 as a hold on our card just in case we charged anything at the hotel. When my wife asked about the charge we were told that every Hilton hotel was required to charge the fee. I have stayed in over a dozen Hiltons this year and have never seen or heard of this charge as I usually take advantage of the contactless check in. Second strike was no gold member perk when we checked in. We weren’t even asked and when I said that we were gold members no water, no snack, not even thank you for being a gold member and finally when I asked about the breakfast the lady said that they had recently raised their prices for the breakfast buffet to $12 and that my $10 credit would not cover the breakfast nor for the people in the extra room that I paid for. I was also told that if I didn’t want the food credit I could get extra Hilton honor points. When I asked if this was a change the check in lady said that this was the policy for all Hiltons. My wife said that this was not true as we had stayed at a Hilton Tru in Orlando( which was nice by the way) which had free breakfast. The lady was confusing at the front desk and I could not understand the policy. In the end I gave up trying to figure it out. Needless to say I’m concerned that my experience and the review immediately proceeding mine indicate a trend at this Hilton Garden Inn. I would be hesitant to stay here when there are so many other good choices nearby. I would probably drive a little farther to stay somewhere that appreciates their loyal customers.
