I spent three nights at the Econo lodge University Gainesville and was very pleased with their rooms and services. All appliances in the room worked, the bed was confortable, the bathroom was clean and very hot water was plentiful. Their continental breakfast was not elaborate, but satisfactory. Surroundings were quiet. The staff was helpful and pleasant and I would stay there again.

The room was basic. The pics on their website are VERY accurate. No frills. Our room's bathroom light had a constant flicker. There was blood (or something red, see pic) on one of the mattresses! Sketchy, but we got our zzzzzz's (:

We booked two rooms for four of us working out of town for five nights. First of all - the good things - Crazy low price, good water pressure, very hot water. Now for the bad - where to start? When we checked in, we were given keys to an occupied room. Thank god no one was there, but all of there stuff was. They gave us another room and didn't act like it was even an issue. The cleaning staff turns off the AC in the rooms every day (we're guessing to save electricity?). It's August in Florida, so the rooms are very hot/humid when you return and the old AC units take forever to cool it down. Our shower head was broken (room 213) and the water came out like a fire hose. We asked over 8 times to have it replaced and it never was. Towels and wash cloths all of odd stains even when we asked for "clean" ones. The "breakfast" is a joke compared to other hotels of similar cost. Believe it or not, but a hooker met a John at this hotel while we were there and robbed him. Not joking - it was all over the news and in the newspaper - just look it up. Again - you get what you pay for and we understand that, but we were disappointed.

As a traveler who has literally stayed in over 1000 hotels all over the world, this Hotel would have to be the worst! Advertised as a 2.5 star hotel, I can say categorically that the pictures on the website are a fabrication and false advertising. Those pictures were not taken of this property. It literally took 45 minutes to check in because the hotel computer had frozen. So at 2.30am - totally exhausted, dead on our feet, we walked up the stairs to our disgusting smoking rooms on the second floor. Our room had no blankets, and one skanky pillow for two beds. The carpet was stained, part of the wall had caved in. The towels were filthy, the bathroom and toilet had built in mould. Just nasty! Our other rooms weren't much better - we witnessed cockroaches crawling up the walls. So two members of our group decided to slept in our van. There was no phone in the room, so we called the receptionist on our cell phone and informed him of the situation. Given the late hour and our level of exhaustion, we decided to stay in this skanky hotel. During the night our guys were awoken by a woman screaming at another woman stating she was going to get her machine gun to blow her way. Totally classy!! The next day we spoke to the manager. We provided pictures of the room and asked for compensation. The manager was not having it - stating "we never refund" . All the while this was happening, the cleaner was laughing it up!. The manager said he would speak to his owner and call us, which of course, he never did. No coffee, no breakfast, no phone, no service. DO NOT STAY HERE@@@

I rarely leave reviews but I felt that I was ripped off for an overnight stay that was extremely uncomfortable overall. The hotel itself looks like a crackhouse inside and out. Janky AC that went out halfway through the night and even though I paid for a non-smoking room it reeked of stale cigarettes, there were burns all over the comforter and the bathroom was disgusting. Do not pay to stay here.

We had a 'non smoking' room that reeked of cigarettes, dead bugs, smoke detector ripped off the wall, curtains that were ripped and not closing fully, no alarm clock, phone or remote for the big 21" tv. The sink area light that never turned on, ants (lots of them), mold covering the bathroom ceiling, filthy exhaust vents and the pillows were as flat as folded t-shirts in the pillow case. Went to the front desk- not helpful or apologetic. Most disgusting hotel experience ever! Price is not appropriate for less than budget friendly title. For the $149 I paid for this awful room- I will sleep in the truck next time!

Absolutely horrible. The pillows were full of mold, the bathroom ceiling falling in, patch holes in the wall, no cover over light fixture, furniture stained, everything was bad. I could not stay..... it was a game day and no other hotels for 50 miles. It did not matter, I would not stay in the room

It may not be a 5star motel but the service was superb. Very friendly and will go out of the way to make you feel comfortable. I have never experienced this type of care at ANY motel I’ve stayed and have seen my share over the years.

Thanks for making me feel at home away from home! J. Bowden

Made a reservation through t-mobile travel, which also doesn´t take any responsibility for bad services. filthy bedroom with urine stink, moldy refrigerator, leftovers inside from other customers. I checked out 2 hours later, but couldn´t stay for the 2 nights I paid. and... they charged the security deposit! it felt even more dangerous to stay. stay away from them and never, ever make reservations through t-mobile travel.
