My wife and I spent the winter at the Hyde and I have to admit it was our best trip ever. Three months in paradise. At first I was concerned about getting the room we wanted but Elie made sure we got what we expected. Wow , what a view from the corner room 35 floors up. We obviously packed heavy for a long stay including our e bikes but they were very accommodating. Jean not only helped us with our luggage , he helped me unload the bikes and even store my bike rack ( above and beyond) . The whole staff was professional and very friendly from the front desk to the valet. Even the cleaning crew did a great job and they all made us feel welcomed. That is what I expect from every resort/hotel. The location was perfect with everything we wanted within walking distance ( or biking). From Gulfstream park to the Hollywood broadwalk, we had plenty to do every day. The worst part was leaving, but thankfully we are already planning our trip back.

Our room was great and super clean and modern as others have stated. What wasn't obvious to me when I booked was that this is really a owner/rental property that you can rent daily. There is no housekeeping at all unless you want to pay for it and there isn't even a coffee shop or convenience shop, just a vending machine. You can walk to the 7 11 or the Doubletree next door for that stuff but still good to know. Surprisingly, you can walk to a Walmart in ten minutes!
The restaurant on the pool level really is skeletal and just orders food from the Doubletree.
Also, unlike a hotel, you never receive the full estimate when you book so you just see the headline daily rate... thus I can see why many reviewers are surprised when they see what they are actually paying. Among other things, there is a $35 resort fee and a $140 housekeeping fee which is for when you leave. They should really fix this as this is common practice when booking with a true hotel.
Valet is expensive but the service is excellent. The manager runs a tight ship. The gym is excellent quality with free weights and racks but only three treadmills. Instead of three bikes and ellipticals, which are rarely used, they should have more treadmills as they fully taken in the mornings.

Spent four nights for a girls getaway trip! The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. Stan and Patricia were the best! They got us checked in quickly in 2 ocean view rooms overlooking the pool with extra towels on request and lots of great tips on great places to check out in the area. Beach was beautiful with great chair and drink service. John, our pool bartender was great and so friendly! We enjoyed happy hour everyday with great drinks. Had a great dinner at Etaru across the street overlooking the ocean. Looking forward to another visit here soon!

I stayed for 20 days. The hotel is not on the beach, but one block away: you have to cross the avenue. The service they provide consists of 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella (we are 4 people in the room). The apartment is large and comfortable but the cleaning service is paid (from US$ 50 to US$ 80 depending on the number of rooms) if it is a light service where there are only changes of towels or the complete service (from US$ 115 to US$165), The apartments do not have cleaning products, so you are obliged to pay for the cleaning. Unusually, you must request a change of towels, coffee, sugar, etc. every day. Basic things that a hotel provides!!! We do not pay for an apartment but for a hotel that does not provide hotel services. It ends up being a very expensive hotel because you have to pay for everything separately.

We just came back from our 10 day stay at the Hyde Beach house. We had a 3 bedroom spacious condo on the 11th floor (although bedrooms were small the eating area/kitchen was large). The decor is very nice and modern but we had many issues that we had to deal with daily-the broken safe, broken garbage disposal, broken TV, broken microwave, bathroom door lock didn't work, plugged toilets because they can't handle any toilet paper and more that I am forgetting because there were so many things. While they were good about fixing everything it definitely became an annoyance. The beach is a 5 min walk and was packed daily. I walked over at 8:45 every morning to reserve good seats on the beach-front row by the water (otherwise it was hard to get seats and you literally had people on top of you because it was so crowded.) You also can't put your own chairs down in the private beach area so you are forced to buy chairs if you need more than 2 (only 2 come with each room). You can put your chairs down only if you are in the front row or on the side where private beach ends. You lose the sun by 3pm because of the tall condos. Front desk people are great, they really do try to do whatever they can to help. The pool area is nice but the reason for the average score and the reason i will not go back is the ELEVATORS!!! The condo is 41 floors and the 4 elevators (usually only 3 are working at once) are NOT sufficient. We would wait 5-40 minutes for an elevator and often when they came the were full so you couldn't even get on. We did a lot of stairs from the 11th floor to 6th floor where the pool is. Unfortunelty we wasted a lot of time waiting for elevators and it was very chaotic and not relaxing.

I’m going to begin by saying that in the current situation it is very easy to rent the same room I have at Airb&B or VRBO for less then what I’m paying, however, I like the idea of having a daily cleaning and prefer to pay a little extra to have the services you’re untitled to when staying at a hotel and paying a daily resort fee. In my case the hotel currently has $9k on hold. I booked directly through the hotel and specified that we are six people and will require for the pull out to be made up before our arrival. Upon our arrival on 12/23 we found out that this “resort “ has no bell men on duty and as a favor we were given a cart to bring our own bags upstairs, the same thing happened later in the evening after we arrived with the food shopping, this time I was told by a guy at the front desk that he’s not sure what my issue is about the bell men people bring their own stuff up all day long. Upon entering the room I realized that while I had 6 registered guest I had enough pillows for 4, and towels for 4 and the pull out wasn’t made up. I did find lots of dark long hair and stains on this pull out instead. Since the rest of my family was arriving the following morning I decided to call house keeping in the morning. I was connected to the front desk where I was told that all this is completely normal and that they can drop off the sheets, pillows and towels. I requested that someone comes and cleans this pull out and makes up the bed at which point I was advised that cleaning is not part of the “resort “ service. If I want my room cleaned, I have to send an email 24hours prior and it will cost $60 for light cleaning or $140 for full cleaning. So basically at the tune of $9k I should be spending my time emailing and paying additional costs for cleaning. I was finally able to reach a manager named Elly who apologized and told me my room would be cleaned complementary. Two days later he called to schedule the one time complementary cleaning. So basically they feel that in the course of 10 days room should only be cleaned once the rest is a luxury I should be paying for. They’re using Covid-19 as an excuse to rip people off. I would like to emphasize that I was not advised about this cleaning situation when I booked or upon our arrival. Other things that must be mentioned is that it takes at least 15 minutes to wait for the elevator. They have 4 one has been broken since our arrival. For the past two days the internal phone no longer connects you to anyone. You get a mailbox that is full. The only way to reach someone is through the 800 number in reservations. While this can be a potentially nice property it is not being used to it’s potential. It’s actually quite dirty and definitely has no regular resort services that people are in fact entitled to

I will say this place is very pricey which I’m sure a lot of them are in the area. There aren’t any accommodations for things you might need last minute without having to leave the hotel for such as bottled water/snacks. You have to walk down to the 7/11 on the corner for everything. I do wish there was a restaurant. We booked this place bc we were excited to use all the “luxury” amenities but it was all just lack luster. The downstairs pool is shaded most of the day and it was full of trash and stuff floating around in it. We never saw anyone here, the Doubletree pool next door looked a lot better! We went to the 6th floor once and a lot of people were hanging out here. The outdoor furniture was looking faded and worn out. We really didn’t have many problems with the elevator except on the weekends. Thirty people would pile out and the doors would shut before anyone could get on. The staff did enforce the masks and everyone I saw in the building wore one. The valet was pretty awesome we never had to wait for our vehicle except on check out day. It was nice to be able to call the car ready before leaving the room. The resort fee and valet prices really add up but we were able to get a discount for booking 7 days which saved us 100 bucks. You have to pay for parking/valet everywhere you go here so it was nice not to have to stress about it at the hotel. The beach is an easy walk across the street, if you go early you can get the chairs you want but you are packed in together. We found that the beach on the Hollywood Broadwalk was wide open in the mornings if you want it less crowded or to claim a good spot for the day. I do wish there were more options in walking distance but just about everything you need is on hallendale dr. We booked the room through air bnb which was managed by the Stay Sol company. It was a 1 bedroom 1.5 bath condo and we were pleased with the cleanliness of our room. We had plenty of towels, silverware, dishes, and toilet paper. The toiletries were a nice size and items like dish soap, trash bags, and laundry detergent were kept under the sink probably from previous guests. The only complaints we have are that we were left a load of laundry in the washing machine to dry (sheets/towels) and there was only one lightbulb in the kitchen light fixture that holds 5 bulbs so it was kind of dark. I do wish the doors were noise proof, you can hear everything on the street and the room above us was super noisy really late into the night. Overall, it was ok. I probably wouldn’t book this place if I was vacationing with my kids.

When we initially checked in to the hotel we were afraid that the atmosphere was far too adult for our planned family vacation as scandalously dressed people poured out of the elevators at wee hours in the morning.
Fortunately, as the days passed that initial vibe did too and the property became a comfortable spot to stay during our two week vacation.
The gym, tennis courts and pool area are all great amenities and we used them often. Unfortunately, the privilege to their beach club with lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels closes on the early side and the attendants aren’t very friendly or hospitable. Several were too busy smoking their vapes and one of the vapes wasn’t nicotine and smelled of marijuana. I was a bit surprised when management didn’t seem to mind the constant fraternity atmosphere with the staff carrying on amongst themselves and smoking on the job.
The valet service is very convenient and most of the time they were quick and efficient getting the vehicle to us.
It would have been nice to have a restaurant on premises, but the kitchen worked out well for making breakfast daily in our apartment and there are many nearby restaurants.
I had an important package delivered the day before we were leaving and was very stressed out to learn the office that handles packages was closed at 5pm and not opening until 9am. Fortunately, a special employee in the reception area named Ana went above and beyond to open the office early so I was able to collect my package. Attitude is nearly everything and I was very grateful that Ana had such a good one. She made our checkout seamless, efficient and pleasant.

I went two days and both had a hard time, to begin with we were 9 people in an apartment and we got 4 towels To continue we had low light, a giant balcony and not a lamp had the same with a piece, we had to light the candles because it had no normal lamp And the worst and the most everyone complains about the fart elevators that have 43 floors and 3 elevators, to top it all off one broke Also a blonde all nasty ignored a family member of mine when he spoke and answered badly, played the little court or shouted at us Also cars take forever, It takes so long to bring a car?? and a gentleman who was in charge of putting things in the room (bags, backpacks, etc.) told another relative of mine to put it up the one who (the one who had to put it up) would not put it up also too expensive for the poor care you get His free out wouldn't go either.

My wife and I thought we would splurge and book a more expensive resort for our long weekend. We paid over $400/night and stayed in conditions that put our health and safety at risk. After 2 nights, we noticed the mattress pad on our bed contained several blood stains as well as chunks of blood that had been left to dry. The cup in the bathroom had dried toothpaste spit in the bottom of it and there was old coffee in the coffee pot. It was very difficult to reach the front desk. There were long lines and they did not answer the phone. When we finally reached them they sent a cleaning person to clean the room. We returned to find the dried spit still in the bottom of the glass in the bathroom. Upon checkout, they waived the $115 cleaning fee that is charged to everyone. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he was not available. I have stayed in Hamptons that were cleaner for a fraction of the cost. $400+ a night to sleep in an unsanitary room. Utterly disgusting that we were exposed and charged to stay in a room that put our health and safety at risk.
