I had a great experience with the service. Amazing and outstanding performance of Luck , at the front desk. Always so kind to attend to all the request and doubts.
Rooms are very comfortable specially if you are looking for a spacious one.
We stayed here to catch up with cousins that I hadn't seen in years. The hotel has just changed from Crowne Plaza to Double Tree. They are totally redoing the hotel but it looks great. Room was just redone. Bed was to die for. My...More

If this hotel were located a few hundred yards further west, its prices would be halved and it would offer good value. But it's very over-priced as it is and as an added insult, they charge an additional $25 a night to park.

I travel a LOT for business and pleasure, too. I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. Samantha in the restaurant, Garlin and Ian in the bar and truly every one I encountered there gave me the VIP treatment every day. The room...More

There is a public garage - too many blocks down. There is a mall across the bridge where you can probably park for a lot of hours - but then you have to walk back. Right by the side of the hotel there is a Bank of America where you can park after hours. Ultimately, that would be the biggest drawback of this hotel, and many others - or rather, it means you will have to factor this into your budget from the very start, so it won't feel that bad.

Hi, the route from the hotel to the beach is short, but it is along the busy street that has heavy traffic. You would cross a major road (only cross at the light for safer pedestrian crossing) and then you would walk about one block along that main road (on the sidewalk) to the closest Hallandale beach entrance. However, the main Hallandale entrance (where there is a snack bar, restrooms and a play ground) is a longer walk (about 6 blocks) along the main drag. I was told there was a trolley, but I never saw it. My husband walked about 5 miles along that main road too without seeing any public transport.
