My family and I recently stayed at your property both before and after our cruise—November 8-9 and November 17-18. While we appreciated the convenient shuttle service, smooth check-in process, and excellent location, the hotel needs a little updating and was not as clean as we hoped.

In both rooms we stayed in, we noticed significant mold/mildew issues. The caulking around the sink was affected in both rooms, and in the second room, there was visible mold on the shower wall panel as well. This was particularly disappointing as I had to wipe down the entire bathtub and shower before my children could use it—a task I do not expect as a guest.

Additionally, the pool area appeared to need maintenance. The sharp edges and numerous missing tiles posed potential safety concerns the kids swimming and trying to enjoy.

While we were pleased with the service and location, the issues mentioned above were disheartening and fell below the standard I associate with Wyndham properties.

We've stayed at this hotel many times before, however, this time we noticed differences in appearance and maintenance around the grounds and overall. Carpets need cleaned in the hallways and in the rooms. Grounds need attention. They used to be maintained so much better in the past. The eating area outside of the breakfast area hasn't been kept up. They need more chairs by the tables and things need to be swept up. The staff is very friendly and helpful so our issues weren't with any of them. We understand it's under new ownership and we don't think the new owner is putting any money into the place.

Beautiful property with airport shuttle, pool, and breakfast. They also have a port shuttle service they work with which we took to Port Everglades. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast adequate. We appreciated that the shuttle driver not only picked us up from the airport but took us nearby to where the restaurants were and picked us up. We would stay here again

Hands down the worst hotel stay we have had and we have stayed in lower rated hotels and multiple other La Quinta Inns. We booked the room months in advance to stay the night before and the night after our cruise. I called the day of our arrival to let them know we would be a very late check-in due to our flight being delayed. When checking in their was another guest who had come down to voice issues with 2 rooms, we should have taken it as a sign, but it was almost 3AM and we were exhausted. We got to our room and it had an over powering smell of rotten food/sour milk. We soon discovered it was likely because the fridge/microwave combo was not working (the fridge smelled like the room). When I called down to the front desk they said that maintenance would be out the next day. When I asked if we could get a different microwave/fridge or use one they have, I was told that that was not possible. I then asked if we could get a different room and was told there were no other rooms. Exhausted and defeated we climbed into bed to discover there was no blanket/duvet, just a sheet and the top sheet they cover duvets with. I immediately went online and cancelled or return stay and booked at another local hotel (that ended up being 100000x better and worth the extra $71). In the morning we noticed the bathroom was in terrible condition with parts of the wall peeling and a dingy tub. We hoped breakfast would redeem the place, but no, the eggs were dry and crumbly, the sausage tasted off and they had a hard time keeping it stocked (especially the waffle batter). With giving just a 2hr window for all hotel guests to eat, you would think they would be more on top of it.
In our rush to leave that morning, I failed to get photos.

We had a great stay at La Quinta. They picked us up from the airport. The shuttle driver was very kind and told us several close restaurants we could work to and offered to drive us there. Terri at the breakfast buffet was AMAZING. She took such good care of my children and helped them get their food and was always cleaning and helping people.

I usually stay at La Quintas when traveling with my dogs. This one is in desperate need of a remodel. Let’s be honest, it’s a La Quinta, you better not be expecting a 5 star hotel; however, this one is exceptionally disgusting and I recommend you stay elsewhere. We stayed at this one when evacuating for Hurricane Milton, so pet friendly was a requirement.

There is visible water damage on the wood doors to the bathroom and on some of the lamp shades. The bathrooms clearly have older hardware. We booked a 1 king bed room and a lot of stuff is missing or doesn’t work. The smoke detectors are completely missing. The bathroom fan and ceiling light do not work at all. There is evident mildew/mold growing on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom. The bathroom light above the mirror occasionally would not turn on at all. The bathroom also had sugar ants. The housekeepers do not clean behind the furniture regularly, or possibly even vacuum at all. The light right inside the entryway doesn’t work. There are no towel hangers in the bathroom. The main elevators are broken. You cannot get do not disturb signs at this hotel (that should tell you about the safety of the general area). The walls are thin and you can hear things going on in your neighbors rooms and the hallway. My boyfriend had a bad allergic reaction to something in the furnishings causing me to have to get new sheets from the front desk and to run out at almost 9pm to find him some Benadryl.

The only pros: the sheets are clean. The bed is decently comfortable. The bathroom sink and tub were clean-ish. The air conditioner works well. The refrigerator works well. The breakfast area is clean and they have everything you need for a quick breakfast. The WiFi works well. The employees are all accommodating and friendly.

Windows were locked and cannot be opened so that no one smokes in the room. There is no possibility of supplying fresh air. An impertinence for the guests. There is only a stuffy and acrid smell coming from the loud air conditioning into the musty room. Me and my daughter booked another hotel nearby and left the room again. The windows in the entire airport hotel cannot be opened.

Terrible Hotel. We had to wait 50 minutes for shuttle driver to show up at the airport. They overbooked rooms so my 2 suites reserved a month prior ended up being 4 floors apart and it took 45 mins to check us in, even though rooms were prepaid. Rooms were very dirty and there were stains on the couches and mattress for pull out bed had no springs left. No extra blankets available. They ran out of hot food at breakfast 1 hour after it started. Stay Away!!!

The room was great. Very clean. The next morning, after breakfast, we went to the lobby to wait for our next connection. The lobby was understandably busy with others doing the same. There were 2 people behind the counter checking people in and out. After the rush of people, the staff continued to stay behind the counter playing on their phones. The lobby was disgusting with garbages overflowing and on the floor. The tables had garbage and food left behind from breakfast. Coffee and hot water decanters were empty. Could have taken the decanters away if it wasn't being served and emptied the overflowing garbages in the 2.5 hours that we sat there. The staff went most 45 minutes on their phones in between customers instead of cleaning up the lobby. First faces seen not doing anything in a lobby that looks gross is a perception of lack of training, taking initiative and overall pride in a hospitality/customer service industry.

This place was excellent, and I don't understand why some reviews did not have it rated highly. My wife and I stayed two nights this past week. Frankly, the price was outstanding, more affordable yet much, much nicer than other places we have stayed in previously in the greater Miami area. The lobby is large and nice. Our room (#320) was spacious with a big desk and a recliner, a fridge, microwave, and tv, and overlooked a beautiful pool area with a lake behind it. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was nice, and the room was very clean with no smell. The a/c worked fine. Inside the bedroom and in the hallways, the carpeting and wood floors were in fine shape, and it was clean everywhere in the hotel. Breakfast was good--the usual selection of juices, coffee, tea, waffles, bagels, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit (oranges), etc. My only suggestions are to offer some packets of cream cheese for the bagels and a different brand of sausage (which was not very good). Next time we return to south Florida, we will be staying here again.

We stayed in November 2022, we didn’t have to leave luggage, however reception were very helpful, so I don’t see why not. Perhaps email them directly & ask.
