What a delightful surprise to find this great lodge in such a lush, jungle-like area of Florida. The river is just nearby and looks wonderful - we are definiely coming back for some kayaking. The hotel is no frills, very clean and comfortable, and the service excellent and engaging. Full marks from us!

When you first check into your deluxe 2 bedroom waterfront cabin the first thing you see is the old rusted refrigerator screaming "do not open". Walking back to open rear door to your scenic waterfront porch you'll notice it is not there, what you have is an immediate severe drop off to the water. Close door and lock. Turning on...

This is a great place for a river retreat. I have been here a few times and always had a blast. If you are looking for a 4, 3 or even 2 star hotel then this is not it. But if you are looking for a fun place on the water that is cheap and has a full kitchen then...

It's not much to write home about, but right on the river by the springs! We rented to cabins for two days nice wonderful people but not luxury so if that's what your looking for go elsewhere! It's nature and family and good times better than a tent for the price, conoes and kayaks for rent cheap!! We love it...

If you're looking to be spoiled at five star resort, check your expectations. This is rustic camping in a natural, old Florida atmosphere. Bring the stuff you need! The place is just a beautiful environment to be one with nature. I have gone there three times and will be back this year again.

The Chassahowitzka River Lodge is such a relaxing and peaceful place to go for the perfect getaway! The owner was extremely nice ( have no idea what some of the other reviewers were talking about the rudeness) and prompt to accommodate. Everyone who is staying at the lodge was friendly! I enjoyed the river and even got the privilege of...

We stayed there for our honeymoon and have been back to the river several times since. As the other people have stated the cleanliness of the rooms is horrible. The mattress sucked and the sheets are threadbearing. The staff at the office are very rude, especailly Luda. We will not going back there to stay or even rent canoes. And...

Just perfect for a guys trip of fishing and or golf. 12 of us stayed for the weekend, breakfast and dinner were provided by friendly, helpful, and competent staff, and we had a blast drinking, and front porch sitting. Lots of history and quaintness. If your concerned about matress qulaity, and thread count not the place for you. Loved it.

I've been staying here off & on for a few years now. It's basic accommodations & definitely not high class. It's always a group of friends (no kids, just adult getaway) with a mission to drink the weekend away & hang out on the river. Cleanliness isn't our first priority on these types of weekends which is a good thing...
