Good - Very good hotel manager. Spacious cottage/room. Bad - No hair dryer in room. Train comes by behind hotel every 4 hours. Nice property on river with basic accomodations. A little tricky to safely exit hotel by car to main road due to visual obstruction.

We stayed at this motel over twenty years ago, off and on for a few months. We loved it then and love it now with all of the updates! Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms/cottages. Staff is very friendly and professional. You can tell this is a family business that's been around since the 40's!! Will always stay there when we're...

Very charming, well-maintained 50s-style motel. We stayed in number 8, which is one of the aqua-colored cabins. Kitchenette with tub and shower. They have a small pier into the river just across the street. Nice place to watch a sunset. I really enjoyed staying here, though I must warn you, bring your earplugs. The Florida East Coast Railroad rumbles by...

Thanks for the nice review. We love keeping the Old Florida Charm that seems to be disappearing in a lot of Florida. My customers often tell me the fishing pier has been a wonderful place for them to sit and relax in the moonlight or have their coffee in the early morning to watch the sunrise. We're glad you enjoyed...

We love the Driftwood! Irene, husband Bob and Deb the housekeeper, treat us like family. Our 10 week stay began with a thoughtful "Welcome Home!" sign and fresh hibiscus blossoms on the bed. "Our" Unit 6 has the most storage cupboards of the single room units; perfect if you plan on doing much cooking. All units have well-equipped kitchens. If...

Lynn and Guy, Thank you for your great review. It's always nice to see your smiling faces return year after year. I loved watching you paddling across the Indian River lagoon and seeing how much enjoyment you got from the dolphins you captured on camera. You really know how to enjoy life. This year it was great meeting some of...

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly, allowed us to use the two person kayak onsite. we got to enjoy the sunrise on the water that way. Nice fishing pier where we caught lots of fish. Nice restaurants all within walking distance. Our cottage had its own full kitchen, living area and bedroom.

My Fiance and I had become separated by many miles. Bill and I had stayed here over Christmas/New Years. It was a wonderful place to stay. The owner is friendly, very nice rooms. They were clean, and well maintained. We stayed in Unit 8, and it is the perfect size for 2, or 2 with one child. I would highly...

My wife and I escaped from the cold to Jensen Beach Florida, staying at the Driftwood for five weeks. We had a great time in this "Old Florida" style, family owned motel. It is directly on Indian River Drive and the St Lucie river. Lots of birds to watch, as well as boats and traffic. Noise does not bother us,...

Thank you for the wonderful review. We really enjoyed having you at the Driftwood. Your such an upbeat couple full of life. I loved the fact you walked to the grocery and local places downtown to get the fresh air and exercise rather than jumping in the car. I truly appreciated the help you gave me boosting the internet with...

The pictures don't do it justice. I didn't know what to expect but was very pleased when I arrived. Great view of the river, authentic Florida craftsmanship, but the level of cleanliness was above and beyond Marriotts and other overpriced supposedly luxury chains. I'd stay here any day if I had to choose between the two. Service was also above and...

Thank you! It's always wonderful to get great reviews like this one. I think there's something very magical about "Old Florida" and apparently we caught the eye of Robin Drapper a travel writer for her magazine and facebook page Authentic Florida. Robin stayed with us in cottage #8 and gave us a fabulous review. We never know who's walking through...

This is a great little place to stay if you want to spend time at Jensen Beach, fish the Indian River or explore the Port St Lucie area. The proprietor is friendly and is an active participant in efforts to keep the Indian River and area estuaties free of pollution and restoring the oyster population. Sometimes it's nice to go back in time to the simpler days. Driftwood is a family owned and operated old Florida style riverfront cottage and motel, right on the Indian River in Jensen Beach. Thank you for your review. We all strive to return to a simpler time and apparently you achieved that by taking a little getaway.
