We upgraded from a standard room to the place closest to the beach, it also has a sitting room with a TV and a great view of the bay. Well worth the additional cost.
The staff was fantastic. close to sever good restaurants. Parking is...More
We really liked our stay at the Seafarer. It beats staying in a multi story, corporate owned chain hotel. Henry knew who we were right when we pulled in and hand delivered my room key. A short walk to the beach later, and we were...More

I love little motels that help me remember the simple life. This place fit the bill. It is not fancy. It doesn’t have a pool, turndown service, or cookies in the evening. It does have a great breakfast, very friendly owner & staff, a great...More

It's not rocky and is generally calm on the bayside where this motel is. water is clear. Like all of the Keys, especially bayside, there is some sea grass. I happily go in and also use their kayaks. There are lots of pictures on their tripadvisor page showing the beach and water at the motel. You might want to look carefully at them. Depending on when and just general luck sometimes/rarely there are jellyfish...but then they are also found everywhere. I've seen plenty of people snorkeling around there, floating, etc. Don't expect big wide beaches like at Daytona or St. Pete anywhere in the Keys. If you take the time to get a little familiar with the Keys before you go it will help. I'd say it's a good place for kids to play and you can also visit other water access points in the Keys for different types of beach.
