The Marquesa Hotel is great. The courtyard has a well-manicured tropical landscape with two swimming pools. There are wooden stairs everywhere which make it look like one of those optical illusion pictures by M.C. Escher. It's particularly pretty at night, especially at night when they light up the pool with a glowing blue. They put a lot of resources into...

We stayed for 5 nights in room 27. Beautiful room on the street side which made it slightly noisy when having a drink on our porch even though we were shielded with shrubbery, but inside it was cool, quiet with a good size sitting area and very comfortable bed. Nice Key West décor. We used the pool a few times...

The Marquesa Hotel is everything good that other reviewers say it is. Wonderful rooms and exceedingly quiet in spite of being on the street. Just a minor glitch in not getting turn-down service when we wanted it and getting it when we did not want it. The courtyard type gardens are so pretty and make a true oasis. While we...

Bruce at Marquesa Hotel was a lifesaver. My friend and I consulted TripAdvisor and called Marquesa at 1am in the morning after a four-hour drive to Key West, where we discovered crusty brown stuff on our (laundered?) sheets at a nearby resort. Eek! Bruce promptly returned our call, invited us to Marquesa for the night, and had chilled white wine...

This is a well run and maintained place. We have stayed all over Key West, see our reviews, and finally decided to pull the trigger. The grounds and facilities are kept perfect. First class. Rooms are decorated a little stuffy, but nice. Not really a Key West vibe, that does not really put the place over the top. Ok, but...

A stay of 4 nights following a long exhausting trip down the East Coast over 20 days was just what we needed. Located in a relatively quiet spot but close enough to all the the main sites and restaurants, with a lovely garden and pool area ( 2 pools) if you need to catch some sun bathing. The rooms have...

What a gem of a spot. A lovely old style hotel set in numerous (historic) buildings around lovely gardens and a couple of beautiful pools. We stayed only one night and i desperately wanted to stay longer. We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, service was discrete but excellent and best of all.... a hotel...

One of the most fantastic hotel we have ever stayed in. The service there is exstraordinary from all of the staff. The hotel is kept the old style and the rooms are all newly renovated. They have a garden in the middel with flowers and two pools - one is heated. They even put a chocolat mint on your pillow...

Highly Recommended! The Marquesa is an oasis in the middle of the many moving parts that make Key West a place everyone should visit once in their life. After a long day seeing the sights, both on and off Duval Street, it was nice to return to the Marquesa and relax whether on the porch outside our room or by...

There was actually a tear in my wife's eyes as we packed to leave, we didn't want to leave. We spent 3 nights at the Marquesa, the first stop on our trip to visit family in other parts of Florida. I have never felt more comfortable immediately than I have at this place. We can't figure it out, we are...
