This is a very nice property with one major drawback - more on that later. Older property, but clean and well maintained. We had a spectacular view from our balcony - but of course we paid extra for this. The staff was just great and couldn't do enough for us - kudos to management. The location is wonderful - just next to a marina with many restaurants. Other good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was good with great views from the porch. We ate one night in the hotel restaurant and it was very good with good service. The bar was nice with friendly service. Live entertainment several nights which was mostly quite enjoyable. Now to the problem - loud music blasting from speakers all over the property. Even on our fourth floor balcony, we had trouble sitting and enjoying the view because of the loudness of the music. We did ask to have the volume reduced a couple of times and it was done, but it didn't take long for the volume to be back at the previous level. Perhaps this is an age problem and young people don't mind loud background music. But if you are looking for a quiet vacation, look elsewhere. …
Everything you could ask for in the heart of Old Town. Consistent outstanding Hyatt amenities and service. Beautiful water views from your balcony. Lovely little private beach and pool area. Location can't be beat.
I reserved my room 2 weeks before my trip to celebrate my fathers 60th bday. When we got there the receptionist said she could see my reservation but not access it.. we stood there for 40 mins while she typed and then looked confused and couldn’t get us a room. Eventually she said ok well let’s just get you in and we’ll figure it out in the morning but instead they never figured it, that lady was gone and in the morning they told us to check out! We had to find a new hotel on the fly and spend the whole day finding and then moving to a new place instead of celebrating my dad… and she said I did everything right which again was over 2 weeks prior… just a bad circumstance I guess but what a waste of time and effort. And I thought I was upgrading lol
We just left our week long stay at the Hyatt. I would highly recommend staying at this location. Starting with the valet, Sasha, and Marcela at the front desk. Both very pleasant, welcoming, and helpful with all our requests. Oh, you're also created with a glass of champagne upon arrival! Rather than supplying you with plastic water bottles, as they did in the past, you're supplied with two refillable water bottles. They have water machines on each level but the main lobby machine offers both regular water and many flavors of sparkling water. You can even add caffeine. The hotel rooms are immaculate. Showers very nice, refrigerator and coffee service in the room. You don't pay for the coffee like some hotels. Again, the rooms are spotless. We had breakfast every morning and Kim was our server. Every dish we ordered on the menu was delicious and kim was most friendly. Again, highly recommend. oh...if you bring a car, you can park for $35. Very, very easy to Uber and don't need a car. My only negative is the work out room is super tiny. They have one treadmill and one other machine, free weights, no foam roller. …
It was the coldest weekend of the year in Key West but we still had a wonderful time. The pool was heated but not enough for me. The was a really nice hot tub and the pool bar bartenders had some fabulous recommendations of warmer things to do. The small boat advisory kept us from planned activities. We will return.
Very nice hotel, great amenities, location was fantastic, nice rooms. Biggest complaint was the rooms/overall cost to stay at the hotel for a basic room was extremely expensive compared to other properties of similar quality in the area.
The room was large, but the window shades all had large stains on them and looked less than attractive. The balcony had cigarette butts on it. The bathroom shower’s grout had mold and where the shower glass met the shower floor, there was a lot of black mold. There was also dust all over the walls, light shades, and tables. The resort pool was very small. It wasn’t exactly a resort, in my opinion, it was more of a hotel. Although it is rated as a 4-star property, I didn’t feel like it deserved that rating. I stayed at several resorts all over the Keys on this vacation and this was the worst one we stayed at all week. The location is excellent so it has that going for it. The property needs to work on its housekeeping and room cleanliness. Once that problem is solved, it wouldn’t be as bad. On a good note, they provide you with 2 metal bottles in the room and a Bevi water machine in the lobby so you can refill your bottles with flavored sparkling or non-sparkling water. It was great considering it was much more environmentally friendly. …
First time at Hyatt Centric in Key West. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. We will definitely be back! Great location and close to everything. For where it's located, it was quiet.
Went to spent a week for husband’s 60th birthday and I’ll never forget it!!! It started with THE perfect room..top floor, clean, spacious and our balcony was absolutely perfect!!! TJ and Amber at the bar kept the party started and going! Thx!! We were so close to all Duval adventures and can’t say enough about the memories! Dry Tortuga by seaplane worth every penny, Better Than Sex for dessert, Latitude’s for dinner, everything lit up for Christmas!!! Just wow!! Cannot wait to go back!!
This was our second trip to the Hyatt. It’s a great location down in the middle of everything exciting facilities were top notch. I particularly enjoyed the reusable aluminum water bottles that we were given and were able to refill with multiple types of flavored and unflavored seltzer, and still water. Sometimes the simple things make you smile.
