We enjoyed our stay in the Island City House. Very short ways and walking distance to a lot of places to visit in Key West. Very good environment, nice porch and excellent garden atmosphere. We're looking forward to coming back as soon as possible

Great getaway for my wife and I. Highly recommend Island City House. The survey asked about rating the pool and hot tub. There was a hot tub?? Staff was very friendly and responsive. Recommend a wine and beer reception to enjoy the pool area and the patio area.

Hotel is in a nice area, not to far from the happening. Great garden and nice pool area. Beds a little uncomfortable. AC very noicy, we had to turn it of in the night. Nice balcony overlocking garden. Rooms could need an update. Rather expensive, not really value for money.

We love this place! It's history and charm make it such a nice place to stay. Beautiful grounds and quiet location! Staff is wonderful. If I had any complaints it would be price. The first time we went was quite a bit less. A lot higher price this time and is quite a high cost per night.

Fantastic place, loved location, and staff. Only complaint was that young children were on site, and we thought that kids weren't allowed. Clean rooms and property. Recommend that Bikes should be free, no charge extra.

The Island City House was a beautiful place to stay. The room/suite we had in the Island City House (one of the three separate houses) was very nice and comfortable. We had a "private" balcony with comfortable outdoor furnishings. I say "private" because it was still accessible to anyone who was going up/down the stairs; but there was a sign...

We are very happy that the Island House was reccommended to us. We have been to Key West several times staying at Coconut Beach which was nice but did not compare to the Island City Beach House. We will return!

The place is very pretty. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. I watched them interact with other customers. You would think that this young staff was caring for their parents with the treatment that I saw with all customers. They wanted everyone to be comfortable and happy.

Hotel was traditional and nice looking. Rooms were spacious and well equipped with tv, cable stations, fridge, microwave, oven, coffee maker etc. internet service was included and decent. Front desk was always helpful, and maid service good. Property is convenient for walking to Duval street restaurants and bars.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our Key West suite accommodations at The Island City House Hotel are comprised of three buildings, each with its own style and unique character. The Arch House features six suites furnished in a casual Caribbean Style. The two suites on the first floor are two-bedroom suites. These suites have two separate bedrooms each with one queen-sized bed, a living/dining room with a kitchen, one bathroom, and a small porch. The studio-suites on the second floor of the Arch House have one queen-sized bed in an alcove, a sitting area with a kitchenette, and either a street-side balcony with a porch swing or a garden view balcony with a hammock. The Island City House is the main building on our property housing twelve parlor suites, ten one-bedroom suites, and two two-bedroom suites. These suites are furnished in an island Victorian style with lace curtains and many antique pieces. The two bedroom suites have two separate bedrooms, one with a king bed, the other with a queen bed, a living/dining room with a full kitchen, one bathroom and a large porch. The ten parlor suites have one queen-size bed and a separate sitting area with a kitchen. Many of these suites also have a sleeper sofa (for children or a third adult) or a porch overlooking the gardens. The Cigar House, our poolside building, is the home of our six largest one-bedroom suites. All of these suites are decorated in a tropical plantation style. The first and second floor suites have a king-size bed in the bedroom, a separate living room with a full kitchen, and a hammock on the poolside porch or balcony. The two suites tucked away on the third floor have a queen-size bed in the bedroom, a separate living room with a full kitchen, and an open balcony overlooking the pool and Infrared Sauna. ... more   less
