If you are going to Key West in December you'd struggle to find a more festive place than The Almond Tree Inn. The decorations are something to be seen and make everyone smile and stop to take photos. We received a really warm welcome on arrival and all of the staff are lovely. The rooms are beautiful and ours (211) was spacious, very clean and had two enormous and very comfy beds. The toiletries provided are high quality and smell lovely. We had a fridge and coffee maker in the room.
The free breakfast has a lot of choices ..... cereal, oatmeal, granola, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, cold meats, boiled eggs, bagels, pastries muffins and doughnuts...... phew! Daniel made sure to serve a great variety each morning and a great chat to go with it.
Each evening you get a free drink and nibbles provided in the bar area.
The pool area is small but nice and we were also able to walk to the beach.
As we were on an extended holiday we were glad to find a friendly and very clean launderette nearby.
Duval street (which is very lively at night) was literally steps away around the corner but the hotel (which is adults only) was really nice and quiet.
Our favourite place to eat was Moondog on Whitehead Street ( a very short walk from the hotel). They have a great menu and a fabulous bakery too.
We would absolutely recommend a stay at The Almond Tree......it was a great find!

We so enjoyed our week long stay at The Almond Tree. Can’t say enough about the service, cleanliness and amenities. We chose a King Suite which was spacious and fully equipped for our needs. The bathroom has large shower with a waterfall and wand and a full sized vanity with a makeup mirror and soft fluffy towels. Breakfast was an extended continental and is served from 7:00am to 11:00am. From 5:00 to 7:00 there is complimentary happy hour which we enjoyed daily. The entire staff is friendly and will take care of your needs. A special shout out to Cary and Daniyar.

The Almond Tree Inn was very nice! Very clean Inn which is very important to us! We loved the quietness & that it is adults only. You couldn’t even hear the roosters from inside your room. Lol :) We were in room#215. We loved the decor in our room too. Rodolfo checked us in & he was so wonderful! He gave us a tour of the Inn with all the information we needed for an awesome experience. Included in your cost is a complementary breakfast(different bagel varieties & toast varieties, pastries, doughnuts, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit salad, cheese, meats, coffee…) which was just perfect. We even got a glass of champagne upon arrival but because it was our 1st time there we got 2 glasses of champagne each. Very nice touch. They also have a happy hour for the guests! SPF at the pool is also included with pool towels! The location is really ideal. We normally stay at La Concha or The Hyatt on Front Street but the Almond Tree Inn was just perfect because of the quiet location & you are right next to a CVS if needed for anything plus there’s a Latin restaurant called Key West Cuban Coffee right across the street from the Almond Tree Inn which was good for eating, espresso or picking up something to bring back to the Inn. All in all we were very pleased here & we plan to come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

This is a very welcoming place with an excellent staff. Everything about our 5 night stay was enjoyable. We had a premium king suite that was spotless upon arrival and stayed that way throughout our stay due to the very conscientious and thorough housekeeping staff. Breakfast is excellent and the staff and outside seating are so inviting and fun. The Inn is centrally located and we were able to walk to every restaurant we had wanted to go to. Also, the pool area is very comfortable and well maintained. The Inn is steps from Duval Street but yet is a peaceful and serene place to be.

Almond Tree was a great place to stay. We spend 2 weeks in Key West every February and had booked our customary place a year in advance, only to have them cancel on us in December due to renovations. We were scrambling to find another room during the same time frame which is prime season. Almond Tree met our criteria of adults only and the area near Old Town/Bahama Village. We got the last available room which is their ADA-compliant room. It wouldn’t have been our first choice of room because of the noisy location next to the office/bar, but we were happy to get a booking for our dates. The staff later showed us other rooms for future reference and there are some beautiful suites at the rear of the property for about $40 per night more, which we would readily book in the future. Key West in February is very expensive, and the Almond Tree’s rates are right up there, but we feel we got our money’s worth. Both the room and the pool area are VERY clean. The rooms feel fresh and updated with new furniture and the bed was comfortable. Landscaping is beautiful and well maintained, providing a good buffer to the convenient location near a busy intersection (easy walking to many great restaurants and the Loop bus).

Almond Tree’s biggest asset is its staff. Each and every staffer was cheerful and professional. Trudy, the manager, called us in advance to see if we had any special requirements since we had booked the ADA room. Concierges Peter and Dacha went above and beyond in anticipating our needs. The attitude and kindness of the staff really enhanced our experience. We will return here.

I cannot say enough good things about the Almond Tree Inn. Our flight arrived around 11am and the staff was kind enough to keep our luggage at the front desk so that we could explore the island while we waited for our room to be ready. The hotel location is perfect and we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see. There is also a bus stop about two blocks away for the free Duval loop bus.

I am admittedly a picky traveler and not easily impressed but this place was perfect. The room was immaculately clean. The daily housekeeping was thorough and much appreciated in the post-COVID world where many hotels aren’t cleaning the rooms or changing the towels daily “for your safety”.

There is an included breakfast each day that has assorted breads, bagels, pastries, juices, fruit, deli meat and cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and coffee and tea. It was plenty to start the day and tide us over until lunchtime. There’s also an evening happy hour where they have complimentary beer and wine and light snacks-cheese cubes with cut veggies and fruit, small finger sandwiches, etc.

Every staff member we encountered was so kind and seemed to genuinely care that we were enjoying our stay. Next time we’re in Key West we will stay here and won’t even bother looking elsewhere.

Great location just steps from Duval! But as others have noted, once on property, you are enveloped in a lovely, peaceful tropical oasis. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. We had a deluxe king room and while not a large space, it was perfect for our needs. The room had a good sized fridge and microwave. The pool was clean and refreshing for midday breaks from the heat. The air conditioning was powerful and effective! The included happy hour and breakfasts were lovely, though we did choose to go out for breakfast most mornings. It is within a short walk to some breakfast favorites such as Blue Heaven, Moondog Cafe, and La Grignote (Highly recommend all of these!). For the most part, we walked everywhere we wanted to go. We did take a Lyft a few times when we didn’t want to get sweaty walking to our fine dining reservations. One day we rented a golf cart just to drive around and explore all the nooks and side streets and to visit Fort Zachary Taylor beach. There is a CVS right next door which was convenient for purchasing any items we forgot, bottled water for the room, etc. I highly recommend choosing The Almond Tree Inn for your visit to Key West! The atmosphere created here by their amazingly friendly and helpful staff is just what you need to escape the stress of everyday life! Do not hesitate to book!

This most recent visit was my second stay with Almond Tree. Perfect from the moment we walked in the front office after a 7 hour flight delay. Cary had a glass of wine in our hands before the super fast & easy check in process. Great location, you can walk or bike anywhere in little to no time. Thankful for breakfast in the mornings, and a poolside cocktail in the afternoons. Trudy and her team are as friendly as they are efficient. Beds are so comfortable- we had the 2 queen room with a sitting area and wet bar, plenty of space. Bathroom had everything we needed- even the extra piece for the hair dryer to help me attempt to keep my hair looking normal in the August humidity (until 5 minutes after leaving the room). It was an added bonus that the other guests were friendly and easy to engage in great conversations over breakfast, in the pool, and when some of us ended up hanging out at Irish Kevin's one night. Can't wait for my next visit!

We spent four nights at the Almond Tree in late April, during our first visit to Key West. It was the perfect blend of a serene place to get away from it all, while still being steps away from the action of Duval Street. We were struck by the many wonderful touches that built a sense of community: the daily Happy Hour, and the way the staff built our breakfast for us every morning, and the quiet, lush courtyard/pool area at the heart of the rooms. While were a bit taken aback by the price of accommodations in Key West, we felt the value offered by the Almond Tree was excellent. We stayed in a Two Queen Bed Suite, and having the extra space of a small living room was worth it. We found the resort to be very clean, and the wonderful staff were attentive and friendly without fail. I don't often give 5-star reviews, but the Almond Tree is worth it and I want others to know about this hidden gem!

This was our first visit to the Keys and to the Almond Tree Inn, but not our last. The inn is perfectly located to make exploring the downtown area very manageable. We parked our car and did not move it for two days. Our room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and wonderful linen (although a fitted sheet in lieu of a flat bottom sheet would have made it better). The shower and bathroom were well appointed. The pool was warm and very well cared for with easy access to fresh towels and lounge chairs. A continental breakfast is provided which was fine for light fare. Having a better tea selection and easy access to hot water would have made the morning a bit brighter (coffee was available on the buffet but you had to ask for it). All in all, the stay was great and we would definitely visit again.
