OK, we win the award for the most-tardy review of an AWESOME place! My fiance & I traveled to our 1st (not last!) trip to Key West in May and wanted to do a B&B with breakfast. We targeted the 'quiet' end of Duval St and looked at all of the 'Southern-most' places - hotels, inns, and B&Bs. After having...

I've stayed here many times in the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. This is the only place I will stay on Key West. The hospitality is beyond any expectation, the owners make you feel like you are part of the family. It's the best value on the island. The location can't be beat. We love it here!

This 19th century guesthouse is in a lovely setting. Mona, the proprietress, is a fabulous hostess and really enjoys connecting with her guests. The home is well appointed, buffet breakfast is great, large jacuzzi and lounge chairs are secluded in a nook next to the house, a nice wine happy hour and all nestled among lovely landscaping with tables, chairs...

We ended up here by accident and turned out to be a great one. The front desk people were great, cleaning people also great. We got a good morning from everyone there every day and any time. The owner was very nice and helpful as we had an issue with payment but all was taking care of in a very...

Stayed at the Guesthouse this past weekend and it exceeded our expectations by a wide margin. We arrived early and were able, with the staff's help, to check in early and what a surprise when we got to our room (Room 6-best of the bunch) The room was immaculate, private with it's own balcony and separate entrance and very tastefully...

Beautiful home and friendly staff. Owner makes you feel like you are family. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Right on Duval, but with gorgeous ocean views. We will definitely be staying here when we return. Thanks so much!

We decided to stay overnight during a day trip. The 'visitors bureau' on the right about 15 minutes north of KW suggested it and made our reservation. Upon arrival we were very pleased with the location and amenities. Our room was not yet ready as it was early so we wandered down Duval. Our room was comfortably appointed with 2...

Wife and I did a three day stay for anniversary Could not have asked for a better experience. Very nice people own and manage property. On quiet end of Duval but bike rentals made all commuting easy. Did not use car for entire stay. No pool on property but was able to use a nice pool at hotel directly across...

My husband and I visited this quaint little place this weekend for just a quick weekend away. I could not have asked for more. I called a couple of weeks in advance and they gave me a cheaper price over the phone since it was slow. The room was perfect, clean and nicely furnished. The location is on the quiet...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the southernmost guest house in the United States. At our Key West guest house, we offer southernmost hospitality, and since the late 1800s, we’ve gone to great lengths to make stays here an absolute pleasure. In fact, in 1894, when Cuban cigar-maker Eduardo H. Gato realized the handsome, rambling Victorian home he had built was not getting the right sun exposure on his favorite porches, he moved the house across the street! He had the huge structure rolled across the street on logs pulled by mules and he rotated the house to create the most favorable mix of sun and shade. ... more   less
