#47 of 52 hotels in Key West
Ibis Bay is exactly what you dream of when you imagine Key West. It's a friendly, quirky resort with design and colors inspired by 1950s Havana. The landscaped white sand beach leads right up to the beachfront guest rooms, and guests can jump right into the beautiful bay for swimming, snorkeling and take jet skis, kayaks or paddle boards right from our dock! The staff are all Key West locals who love the island and want our guests to enjoy their stay. We have exclusive attractions like our poolside Dive-In Movies every Wednesday night on a 20ft screen by the pool, plus Nightboarding nightime LED-lit paddleboarding and kayaking! Wildlife abounds on our grounds including huge tortoises, lots of large colorful parrots, local iguanas (don't touch!) and our namesake, the very pretty ibis birds. In the mood for some fun? Ask our Fun Desk concierge about our jet ski, scooter and electric car rentals on site plus paddle board, kayaks and kiteboard rentals on the beach. They can also recommend off-site activities, restaurants, tours and local attractions. We have 80 hammocks for lazing about, and an amazing restaurant called The Stoned Crab that has two of its very own fishing boats delivering fresh crab, shrimp, lobster and fish every day! What are you waiting for?

We enjoyed our room that had the back sliding glass door out to a small patio that faced a small beach and water with table and chair and a hammock. The room was a little more dated than the pictures, but still acceptable. It was clean and we did not experience bugs of any kind. Had a problem with hot water one evening, but worked fine the rest of the week. All rooms have a mini fridge. We requested a microwave and they delivered. The pool was very nice and we enjoyed that since it was super windy and trying take in a beach was impossible because of it. The fish feeding was entertaining and talking to the parrot. They have turtles that seemed to catch our attention every day. We also had a large iguana and a pelican come up on our patio while we were there, which was pretty cool. Along with all the other little birds that we enjoyed watching. We enjoyed both the bar and restaurant. Appetizers were pretty good, but our dinner at the restaurant was a little on the dry side. Continental breakfast was just ok, the line moved very slow as they only one person working that. The maid failed to leave washcloths and a bath mat one day. When I went to the front office, they took my info. The owner was there in the lobby and asked me more about it. I said she was there, she just failed to leave those items, no big deal. He said he would make certain we received them soon and told me he was the owner and that he cared about his guests. While we enjoyed our room, a couple we were with had the opposite experience. They paid more for their room because they waited so long to book. They got a smaller room and their view was the parking lot. Grab those rooms with the view of the water! It makes a huge difference. Shuttle was nice to have. We rented car, but parking on Duvall is tough and Uber gets expensive. I've listed the value as poor. If it was just the room rate, it would have been acceptable, but then we were charged a daily resort fee on top of that. Shuttle is about the only thing that I consider extra that they provided. There was no gym.

This manager of this resort says that because they don't check email (and I cancelled a full month or more before our scheduled dates) that I was a "no show" and they charged me. I feel that this is not my fault, since I sent the reservation cancellation by email and their confirmation page doesn't say it's an unmonitored mailbox. She held all of the power (held my money), knew it, and wouldn't budge. If it's any indication how they treat you when you are there, it would be a very unpleasant trip.

This was a super cute, nostalgic motel resort with colorful rooms and hammocks on each deck. It also included hammocks placed throughout the property, a pool, turtles, and a talking parrot. There was a restaurant also which I didn't experience but the kids did and said it was great. They also provide a free shuttle to 2 spots in Key West that runs every hour from 10 til 10. The only issue I experienced was very little water pressure in the shower, and some confusion checking in. I would definitely stay here again

Quirky retro resort. Birds, turtles, and friendly ibis patrolling the beach. We had a double beach front room. It opened directly onto the beach with deck, chairs, tables, hammocks, and has spectacular sunrise views. The property is older and a bit dated, but our room was decorated very cute and was clean. No sign of any bugs mentioned in previous reviews. Property pluses: free hourly shuttle to town, nice pool, free breakfast, on-site bar/restaurant, on site marina with watersports, free turtle and shark feedings. Many stores and restaurants nearby. All accommodation in Key West were very expensive. I thought this was a good value for what you got. The one complaint I had was the 4 screaming children outside our window while we were trying to sleep our first night there. After that family checked out, it was very peaceful and quiet at night.

We read reviews and got nervous but decided it’s a beach vacation and for sale price to try it. If you go in with that mentality you will enjoy it. It’s key west who needs luxury? Check in went ok. New girl did not give us much info. Pool is nice with bar. Music needs to be louder and up to date but very nice. Room is super cute. Walk across street for liquor store, snacks and gym (for a cost). The shuttle runs hourly. Very nice. Rarely needed Uber. Breakfast was like Marriott. Restaurant was good!! We had lunch twice great food but but service so sloowwwww. Nice view and we felt like on vacation. Room had a hammock we came back to at night and shared with a drink. All in all for price a great choice. Thank you Ibis!
