A friend from Alaska and I went to the "resort" for a three day trip. At breakfast, the floor is elevated, and not lighted during the day. I was clearing my plate and stepped back and fell off the elevation into the lap of a poor, unsuspecting, gentleman. The staff, while assuming to be friendly, were the exact opposite. My...

We stayed here for three nights and it was a wonderful resort. The Stoned Crab restaurant and bar are amazing! Great lunch (crab)and cocktails! The two front desk ladies (during the day) were the most friendly and helpful I have come across at a resort. I had asked if we could have some balloons in the room when we arrive...

Loved the quirkiness of the hotel. The room was spotless and fresh and loads of towels provided - beach towels as well as ones in the bathroom. We had a room that had disabled access so it was probably a bit bigger than most of the other rooms. The pool area was lovely with access to the bar which does...

I really love it here....the people are awesome, and friendly. My room with the ocean view is excellent. The stoned crab is fabulous. I went on the sea doo adventure in the morning with Montana as our guide. He gave us an amazing tour. All of the "lifes to short" drivers are awesome, and always get you into town safely....

I went with my family to Key West and stayed only for one night. The hotel has nice rooms, free wifi, comfortable bahtrooms. At the end of the day, you only want a comfortable bed, which they had. It included a contintental breakfast, which had all the basics, nothing special. We also booked our activities at the lobby. The biggest...

It's in a decent location. The shuttle to Old Town is reliable and convenient. Clean. Very small rooms. Below average breakfast. Terrible Internet, however, For the pricing, I might consider staying in it again.

First time in Key West and traveling solo was a bit apprehensive.Chose Ibis Bay based on it's retro feel.I was not disappointed.Chose a room beachside although i did not need 2 beds. Well worth it. The staff were exceptional, my room very clean. Not a bug to be seen. The "Life Is Too Short Bus" made it very easy to get...

This is our third year at Ibis Bay. We travel the Keys from Daytona on our Harley. The location is good. We enjoy the quaint, retro, island decor. Rooms are CLEAN & good-size. Bathrooms are small, but that's consistent with the 50's. We like that the owners are keeping it as it was; the cool, retro places are hard to...

One is always leery when making travel arrangements to a place they've never been. Its just the way it is. Arriving at Ibis Bay Beach resort my wife and I were naturally skeptical. That changed within 10 minutes of setting foot on the premises. You can tell that the owners of this facility really care about every element of their...

Hi Carter, Its great to get another destination business owner's perspective. Thank you for your review. My business partner and I are constantly working to keep the guest improvements coming without changing the 1956 character of the resort. All our staff are very proud of "their" resort. Its a group effort. Chris

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ibis Bay is exactly what you dream of when you imagine Key West. It's a friendly, quirky resort with design and colors inspired by 1950s Havana. The landscaped white sand beach leads right up to the beachfront guest rooms, and guests can jump right into the beautiful bay for swimming, snorkeling and take jet skis, kayaks or paddle boards right from our dock! The staff are all Key West locals who love the island and want our guests to enjoy their stay. We have exclusive attractions like our poolside Dive-In Movies every Wednesday night on a 20ft screen by the pool, plus Nightboarding nightime LED-lit paddleboarding and kayaking! Wildlife abounds on our grounds including huge tortoises, lots of large colorful parrots, local iguanas (don't touch!) and our namesake, the very pretty ibis birds. In the mood for some fun? Ask our Fun Desk concierge about our jet ski, scooter and electric car rentals on site plus paddle board, kayaks and kiteboard rentals on the beach. They can also recommend off-site activities, restaurants, tours and local attractions. We have 80 hammocks for lazing about, and an amazing restaurant called The Stoned Crab that has two of its very own fishing boats delivering fresh crab, shrimp, lobster and fish every day! What are you waiting for? ... more   less
