Ibis Bay is exactly what you dream of when you imagine Key West. It's a friendly, quirky resort with design and colors inspired by 1950s Havana. The landscaped white sand beach leads right up to the beachfront guest rooms, and guests can jump right into the beautiful bay for swimming, snorkeling and take jet skis, kayaks or paddle boards right from our dock! The staff are all Key West locals who love the island and want our guests to enjoy their stay. We have exclusive attractions like our poolside Dive-In Movies every Wednesday night on a 20ft screen by the pool, plus Nightboarding nightime LED-lit paddleboarding and kayaking! Wildlife abounds on our grounds including huge tortoises, lots of large colorful parrots, local iguanas (don't touch!) and our namesake, the very pretty ibis birds. In the mood for some fun? Ask our Fun Desk concierge about our jet ski, scooter and electric car rentals on site plus paddle board, kayaks and kiteboard rentals on the beach. They can also recommend off-site activities, restaurants, tours and local attractions. We have 80 hammocks for lazing about, and an amazing restaurant called The Stoned Crab that has two of its very own fishing boats delivering fresh crab, shrimp, lobster and fish every day! What are you waiting for?

We booked this hotel for a two night stay through a third-party (Agoda). The room was advertised as a queen room with a courtyard view. There were pictures listed of this room and its view so we felt comfortable booking it. When we arrived, we found that the hotel computer system was totally down so we ended up sitting in their office for over 30 minutes waiting for the system to be repaired and we were not able to check in at all. We ended up leaving our luggage and going out on the town until later that night. when we finally did check in, we learned that we had a “value” room, which overlooked the parking lot. Needless to say we were a little upset as this “value” room cost us over $300 a night. When we got to our room, it was extremely small as was the bathroom. The decorations were cute, but they only serve to hide the poor condition of the room itself. There was black mold, everywhere, from the inside of the refrigerator, under the air conditioner, and all throughout the bathroom. Property maintenance is nonexistant. It is true that the beach area did have white sand and lounge chairs. I did not see any water sports as advertised, and just like throughout the Florida Keys you could not swim in the bay as it was too rocky to enter. On a more positive note, the hotel did have a continental breakfast every morning. There was also a shuttle that ran every hour until 10 PM that takes guests into old town. The shuttle driver was awesome at his job and could not have been friendlier. With that being said, there are so many other places in Key West to stay that are much nicer for the same cost. You would be better off looking elsewhere.

Hotel's Favourite
The amazing staff, from the restaurant to the accommodations, such as a stellar view of the lagoon and the pool, made this hotel a great experience. We plan on returning regularly! Shout out to the restaurant staff, the free shuttle service (our driver was awesome and entertaining), and the check-in staff for the great hospitality.

I made a reservation to go on a trip to key west very spontaneously , unfortunately my grandmother is in the hospital so I had to cancel my reservation 12 hours after making that reservation, I spoke to Nakisha the manager a few times explaining my situation and I asked for a refund, in the last call I didn’t want to bring it up the situation with my grandmother because it’s very emotional for me but I tried to explain to her the situation but she raised her voice on me and refused to hear me and hanged up on me, this is no way to treat clients and people, very bad experience with this place having no sympathy and Nakisha the manager being very rude and unprofessional, I cannot believe she works for a hotel but this shows the type of hotel this is. I do not recommend going to this place after this experience I’ve had with them. Run away from this place as far as you can and book a real good hotel and not this place

Worst hotel experience we've had in a long time, if not ever! On top of the $400/night rate, we were charged a 'resort' fee of $26. This place is not a resort, but a dirty, dumpy motel. Rooms very outdated with cheap lawn chairs inside! No headboard... the mattress sits on what looks to be concrete. Extremely loud AC located directly next to the bed that blasts super cold air and turns itself on and off very frenquently... no sleep to be had! Other guest was smoking right outside our room, hotel staff did nothing about it when they were alerted. Room smelled of cigarette smoke! The bathroom is old and disgusting, and we do not mind an older hotel at all, but this place is a disgrace!!! Thank goodness we only booked for one night! All I can say is: STAY AWAY!

This place is a HARD NO on so many levels - to call this outdated motel a resort is laughable - and then to charge an additional $50 resort fee at check-in is completely unwarranted. Staff was rude at check-in, the room is basic and outdated (the bed doesn't even have a headboard - weird), the "patio" is essentially the parking lot and it's on top of the next door guest, the walls are super thin and you can hear the traffic, neighboring guests and the dumpsters being emptied at sunrise, the "beach" is a strip of sand on the waterway that collects trash runoff, and the only thing edible at the continental breakfast is coffee. I also felt sorry for the animals on site in cages. The only good thing I can say about Ibis Bay is that it has a shuttle to/from downtown. We used it a few times and found it to be convenient. I don't have high standards, and I understand a relax-y Key West beach vibe, but this place is NO x1000.

This place is substandard, absolutely overpriced. Bedcover had stains which looked like mold. Extremly noisy and old AC (slept only few hours with noise cancelation headphones on). Bathroom looked unpleasant. Courtyard view towards dumbster. Loud from bar/drunk people. Next level is camping in your car (might be more pleasant). Small beach, water did not look like you can swim there.

BEWARE, Unfriendly, rude Manager/ staff at front desk. Restaurant manager concerned with your stay Liked · The Cleaning and Maintenance manager and there staff, they even gave a rose on the bed for Valentine day. Location to downtown was good. Bus was available every hour until 10:00 pm Disliked · When we first got to the resort I went to the room and saw the Hammock, that was suppose to be outside the room was not there. When we walked out the sliding back door where the table and outside chairs were facing a tall fence in our face as a view. I went to the front office to see if I could change to another room and I was told by MANAGEMENT that because I booked with BOOKING.COM, I got that room and booking.com would be the only one that could change the room. I let that go! Next day was the Super Bowl Game, which was on Regular TV. The resort doesn't not have Cable TV...They only have HULA with NO local channels. We were very upset because we wanted to watch the game in our room or there bar area. I called the management again to see if we were doing something wrong with the TV, maybe that's why we could not get the LOCAL channel. The management first said they did not know how the TV works! Really!! After I asked the maintenance man to take a look at it, then management from the front desk came to the room to confirm no CABLE TV even on regular local stations. We ended up going to a bar down the street to watch the game instead of the comfort of our room! On the second night both our backs were hurting. Looked at the mattress and it was sagging in the middle. Complained to the front desk, the manager, asked for room change she was NOT friendly at all, said she could not change the room because I booked with BOOKING.COM I put in a complaint to change rooms with Booking.com and they said they would explain the problem with management to see if a room change. No answer from the hotel management. I then asked to cancel the rest of my stay with Booking.com, and rebook with another hotel. They put in a request and management NEVER corresponded back to Booking. com or myself. Just ignored us or our request. I then talked to the Manager of maintenance and she offered to change and put a new mattress in, Which was much better. On day three, my finesse was sitting on the chair in the room, Very cheap like, and the leg broke and he fell on the sliding glass door and sliced his hand open. I ran to the office for help, since there is NO PHONES IN THE ROOM. Management again, Well what would you like us to do? I said he needs medical maybe stitches. She said go the hospital but I can't leave the front desk. I said where is the manager, time 5:55pm...she left already! After 15 minutes or so the restaurant manager came to see how he was doing and wrote up a report. He was called from the maintenance guy after the restaurant manager left for home. He came back to the hotel to see what he could do. On there web site it shows phones in the room and there was not. Room 302 Pool was very cold not heated. No towels at the pool area, so I went to front desk to get fresh ones, since the service picked ours up in the room, and the office told me they do not give out towels. I would need to find housekeeping and they would get the towels for me!!

This is hands down the worst property in Key West. We didn’t ( My teenage son and I) even stay the night. We felt so unsafe we checked out and moved to another Hotel. ( Booked on Expedia and the Hotel has blocked my ability to review there ) I travel 3 months of the year and have stayed at over 30 hotels and cruise lines this year alone. This is the worst property I have ever stayed in. This is a Motel. All doors basically open up into a parking lot. When we arrived there was a Police cruiser stationed in the parking lot. We checked in went to the room. The door has old style knob and key, There was clear evidence someone tried to Jimmy the lock on more than one occasion. There was no further safety locks inside the hotel. Walls were dirty, edges of door frames engrained with dirt. Old fashion AC unit rattles away ( very loud ). The TV was the equivalent of a computer monitor. Went for dinner, came back and there was additional Police presence in the parking lot looking for someone who was clearly a problem. We paid over 500.00 ( 1 nt ) for this crap? You e been warned.
