Bathroom tiny. Sliding door had no screen.water view obstructed because sliding door was cloudy. Pillows awful. Hammocks outside were great. Room floor tiles cracked and mismatched. OK for 1 night but would not stay again.

Quaint colorful room with a sliding door that opened to views of the water and stepping out had my feet in the sand! Great large sized clean pool with comfortable lounge chairs, and the ability to actually swim laps. Enjoyed the services provided- excursion arrangements for boating/jet skiing activities, biking and on site outdoor movies. Wish the restaurant had more...

We stumbled upon the Ibis Bay after 4 nights of tent camping with our boat on Key Largo and Marathon Keys. We were ready for a hotel and Ibis Bay was just what we needed before heading back home to Ft. Pierce. We took advantage of the complimentary ride to town and watch the annual night Christmas bike parade. We...

The cons first. I booked a twin room through Booking.com on arrival we were given a value room with one Queen bed. To upgrade to twin beds would be an extra 20 dollars per night, to have a view that's an extra 50 dollars per night. After paying what I feel to be high prices already for the standard of...

We had a very nice time at a suite apartment by the Ibis by the Bay. Nice private bay, with hammock, beach chairs... A small restaurant (not the best, just ok). The little school bus is on time and stop at center close by the original lime pie factory!!! No complains! Had a GREAT sunny weekend!!! <3

Every night you can sit in a lounge chair on a dock in the edge of this gorgeous bay and watch hundreds of pelicans and other birds sail into a large mangrove island to roost for the night, it is the pelican highway and beautiful to behold. We stumbled on Ibis Bay after spending one night at one of the...

Ibis Bay is called Ibis Bay because the Ibis birds use the two big mangrove islands in the middle of our bay as their rookery. Along with ibis birds, there are many herons and pelicans too. They fill the sky when they take flight in the early morning and when they return in the early evening. Its so pretty with...

This is a boutique motel with a lot going for it. From the Cuban styled decor to the enchanted hammocs right on the sand outside your room, to the coral walls, everything was beautiful . What was not up to par was the pool which was not heated.

I am glad you loved iIbis Bay. I like your suggestion too. We are re-decking the restaurant and pool area with beautiful Brazilian mahogany boards. We plan to put in a heating system that will keep the water temp at 82ª. So come and see the changes. You played a role in making them happen.

I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to vacation lodging because I've been lucky enough to stay in some exceptional places. However, while Ibis Bay Resort was not plush by any means, I have no complaints from our recent stay. The resort itself was an old rundown motel before it was completely renovated. The only things that appear to be...

I love using my scooter around town. I have a car too, but so long as the forecast is sunny, I zip around at 25mph tops on one of our Yamaha scooters with the wind in the hair (what's left of it!). It's one of the pleasures of being on a tropical island. Its the closest to feeling like a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ibis Bay is exactly what you dream of when you imagine Key West. It's a friendly, quirky resort with design and colors inspired by 1950s Havana. The landscaped white sand beach leads right up to the beachfront guest rooms, and guests can jump right into the beautiful bay for swimming, snorkeling and take jet skis, kayaks or paddle boards right from our dock! The staff are all Key West locals who love the island and want our guests to enjoy their stay. We have exclusive attractions like our poolside Dive-In Movies every Wednesday night on a 20ft screen by the pool, plus Nightboarding nightime LED-lit paddleboarding and kayaking! Wildlife abounds on our grounds including huge tortoises, lots of large colorful parrots, local iguanas (don't touch!) and our namesake, the very pretty ibis birds. In the mood for some fun? Ask our Fun Desk concierge about our jet ski, scooter and electric car rentals on site plus paddle board, kayaks and kiteboard rentals on the beach. They can also recommend off-site activities, restaurants, tours and local attractions. We have 80 hammocks for lazing about, and an amazing restaurant called The Stoned Crab that has two of its very own fishing boats delivering fresh crab, shrimp, lobster and fish every day! What are you waiting for? ... more   less
