My wife and I had never stayed at a B&B, nor had we been to Key West. We are Florida residents. Since it is our 50th anniversary year, we decided to make this trip a celebration of that event. We stayed in the sun room for four nights. It was lovely with a great balcony, the balcony was replete with...

When my life partner and I stayed at the Mermaid and Alligator first in February 2012, we reserved for the same week and room, the Bamboo Room a year later. Our latest stay was again perfect...a return to paradise. Our room had originally been a cigar worker's house immediately adjacent to the main Victorian house, beautifully furnished and roomy with...

I booked this trip as a surprise for my husband who was always grumbling about never getting to go to Key West. I thought the rooms of the M&A were gorgeous, and was shocked at how reasonable the prices were(note: I am an extremely frugal person(hubby would say cheap), but there are just some things you need not scrimp on)....

My wife and I stayed at The Mermaid & The Alligator for seven nights. We stayed three nights in the Garden Room and, then because of someone else’s advance reservation, we were moved and stayed four nights in the Treetop Suite. Below are the pros and cons of this beautiful bed and breakfast. Although this review is longer than most...

Let me start by saying, I don't think I will find a better bed and breakfast in key west. The place is beautiful. The grounds are well kept and the attention to detail is unbelievable. There is a small, comfortable, heated swiming pool / jacuzzi. I stayed in the Bamboo room. The room was awesome. The management was very nice....

As always the best place to stay in KW. It's like home, well, actually, better. Beautiful rooms and grounds. They can set you up with any reservations, massages, suggestions, bikes....whatever you need. The dogs are great.

This B&B is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I chose it for the room decor and was not disappointed. The gardens are also fabulous. The breakfast was delicious every day and was provided quickly and with smiles. We also enjoyed hanging out in the warm plunge pool in the evening. Both the plunge pool and breakfast time were great opportunities...

The Mermaid and the Alligator is a wonderful inn. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, with a cozy decor that made us feel at home. We had a delicious breakfast every morning in the garden, including good coffee, home-made muffins, and a breakfast entree. We shared a table with various other guests, and I very much enjoyed the conversation. Owners...

My husband and I just enjoyed our second stay at The Mermaid & Alligator. If anything, we enjoyed it even more this trip. The owners, Dean and Paul, have created and maintain a tranquil, beautiful and comfortable B&B in the heart of Old Town, Key West. Geri and Rebecca are warm, friendly and so helpful. The housekeeping staff is terrific....

We booked four nights here, after reading previous tripadvisor reviews. We felt fairly confident that we would not be disappointed, based on previous experiences with tripadvisor. However, we felt that the M and the A surpassed our expectations. Physically, it is a wonderful facility, inside and out. The landscaping is beyond adequately describing - possibly "tropical paradise" comes close. The...
