Finding accommodation in Key West during February is a challenge. There are numerous bed breakfast establishments though many get booked up well in advance and to be honest, Douglas House was not our first choice. It calls itself an inn rather that a bed breakfast which is probably because it doesn’t offer any breakfast. It’s very well located being just...

We just left from a three night stay at the Douglas House. As mentioned before the location is decent, away from the crowds on Duval but close enough to walk. The rooms at small and about average with any other bed and breakfast. We ended up getting a queen bed for two of us. My only complaint. Was the pillows...

We stayed in the King Palm (#6) and found it to be wonderfully appointed. The furnishings were unique and functional and the room was spotless. The staff at the Douglas House were helpful and pleasant. The room had a small refrigerator with a freezer, and lots of cupboard space and drawers. The grounds are very pleasant.

Very friendly and accommodating. I chose them because they didn't require 3+ nights during 'high season', but will chose them again because of the location, people and property. The room was set in a renovated old home and was small, but worked for us quite well. The salt water pool was wonderful, small, but eased the tired muscles; overworked from...

Great service right when we walked in the door. Mike and the other gentleman at the desk are incredibly welcoming, and gave us a short tour around the property before showing us to our enormous room. Very spacious and great for a longer-term stay as it has a little kitchenette. Not super-luxurious, but definitely perfect for our purposes. Biggest and...

It was really nice. Good location. Good accommodation. Pool is small but does the job. Room had LOTS of space. The fridge came in handy for beer. There was a nice deck to sit outside. Parking lot was close to the hotel. Do not even think about parking in the small drive in front of office.

[Note: after writing this review in the airport, I checked our bank account and we actually ended up spending more money at Douglas House (our "dud" hotel) for two nights than at La Te Da (our "OMG AWESOME!" hotel) for three nights, so please check out La Te Da availability before booking!] SUMMARY The location is great and the service...

My fiance and I stayed at Douglas House for our few days in Key West and we really enjoyed it. We thought it was nice that it is close to all the things on Duval Street, but not right on Duval Street, which helped with noise levels at night. Everyone we met there was very nice, friendly, and helpful. It...

We arrived late in the afternoon with no reservations and no clue where to stay. First Timers! We stopped at the Welcome Center and Tara set us up from there! The only complaint (it's really not a complaint) was that the room was on the 2nd floor. We were offered help getting the bags up to room though. Super close...

The Douglas House is such a charming and quaint property to stay at. Our room was beautifully decorated and even had stained glass windows. Although it was chilly when we stayed, I was still able to sit on our private porch and drink my coffee in the morning, enjoying the relaxing fountains and tropical plants surrounding the property. Their pool...
