It's a low budget motel, but great location directly off Highway 1 and a very short (1 minute) walk to Lorelei's cafe overlooking the sea. Those expecting the Hilton are probably looking in the wrong place, this is a typical budget American Motel, with rooms spread out in individual units. However, it's good value and the owners were flexible and... More

I live in Fort Lauderdale and I've stayed here twice in the summer of 2016 while scuba diving in the Keys. It's an older, no frills, but well maintained motel. The staff is friendly, the area feels safe and the rooms are clean. You're able to park your car RIGHT IN FRONT of your door which is great when lugging... More

I have stayed here many times over the past 7 years. Though the motel is old and doesn't have all updates furniture or TV's, This motel is impeccably clean. They have the best pricing for being right downtown Islamorada right next to the Lorelei Restaurant and bar. And you come here for the sun, fun, water and outdoors, not to... More

Stayed just the one night, basic accommodation but perfectly adequate. The best bit about this place is the bar down the road called Lorelei. This sits on the water and has live music, really lovely place for dinner whilst watching the sun set. Amazing.

I don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on a clean place to sleep. I'd rather spend my money on activities. That said, Key Lantern is a perfect place to stay! Very clean room and a fairly large one at that. A nice kitchen and good location. Beds are comfortable. Within walking distance of Lorelei Restaurant and Mangrove Mike's. Will... More

We put our sons at Key Lantern while we stayed at Cheeca. It was a great place to stay. Price is unbeatable! They loved the location. We loved the cool retro room. Nice, large rooms. Towels were a little small. Bring your own shampoo and soap. The room was very quiet and the a/c was cold!

Key Lantern was the perfect place to stay for our family vacation. Dated, but clean and reasonably priced it gave us the ability to experience and enjoy more of the Keys life (fishing, snorkeling, and the beach) which is what we came for. We will defiantly stay here again!

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The beds were just right and wi-fi was free. It had a mini-fridge, but no coffee pot, our only dis-like. The lady at the office was more than helpful, even reminding us to use plenty of sunscreen! We totally enjoyed our stay here for $60/night. We stayed here 2 nights and stayed further... More

Stumbled upon this small no frills Motel needing accommodations for a semi business trip. Just needed a bed at an affordable rate. Now this is our go-to place of choice, as well as other adult family members. Great location for base of operations when planning activities not centered around your sleeping accommodations. Clean rooms, safe area.

Motels was clean safe and fit our family of 5 perfectly. Old school motel with a kitchenette. Friendly staff with great recommendation about local things to see. Great location for day trips to key west or any of the other keys. A couple of dining choices out back make for a great evening experience watching the sun set.
