Had a wonderful 20th anniversary stay at this quaint little resort. Very comfortable and clean. We stayed in room 7 and had a beautiful ocean view. We very much enjoyed making breakfast each morning in the room and sitting on the porch to eat. Pool...More
Third stay at Pines and Palms. This time in room 16. Nice room but kept thinking how much better if they had a split unit AC instead of a huge and very loud single wall unit.

While I have not stayed here I have stayed at many places in the keys. There are not a lot of real beaches in the keys...each key is basically a rock in the water. If you want shelling the west coast of Florida, particularly Sanibel, would be the place. Most beaches are created by clearing rocks and dumping sand, then smoothing it out on a grade that gets deeper the farther it goes out. Walks on any beach in the keys would be a pleasure and sunsets are outrageous, particularly when you are equipped with a margarita!
