Lovely resort. Pool area along Atlantic is relaxing and quiet. Good size beach area for the Keys. Nice dock for an evening stroll or fishing. We stayed in a room with Lagoon view and were very pleased with the comforts and relaxing view. Very nice amenities.

Resort overall was fantastic. We were fortunate to get a new room concept in the main building. The renovated room was quite nice. The only unpleasant thing we encountered during our stay was the awful smell near one of the parking lots near the main building. I'm not sure if it always smells like that or it was an isolated...

We had an amazing experience at the Cheeca Lodge on our honeymoon! We stayed in an oceanview king suite. We loved getting room service and eating on the balcony and we utilized the shuttle service to go to the local breweries and restaurants. We also enjoyed the adult-only pool and playing the par 3 course. The room was beautiful and...

If it wasn't for the staff at Cheeca Lodge, there wouldn't be that much to rave about. Always smiling and super efficient, it was a real joy to see some good old customer service in place. The rooms are pretty non-descriptive but the location of the resort more than enough makes up for this. However, it is beyond me that...

Got a great deal for a long weekend - the entire restore is breathtaking. Normally I explore a lot more but it was tough to leave the property; there is a lot to do on site. It's a pricey place to stay for sure but it's worth it.

Spent 6 nights 5-11 to 5-17 in Room 918. 1Br. suite ocean front, 3rd floor. Nice size room with bedroom, large bathroom, plenty of towels. The bed was too hard for me so one might want to consider this if there are any joint issues. The rooms are brown, no 'beachish' decor, really enjoyed the the screened on balcony and...

Loved our room...tucked away in the tropical plants/palm trees which made it so private! We could also see the ocean peeking through the palm trees! So many activities offered on property that we really didn't need to venture out...but we did because it is the Florida Keys!

Just take me back right now! This place is exquisite with much attention to detail. The staff and service, bar none. The rooms are just lovely...🌴The outdoor bar overlooks the water and shaded pool, very tropical and serene. I could stay here endlessly. 🌴

Our first time here and we expected a marvelous experience. Check-in staff was rather rude. Room (914) ocean front suite was tired looking. Sitting chair missing in living room. Shower floor needs better cleaning and bleaching. The rest of the facility was fine and food was great, as was the beach. But at $700/night we expected the room to be...

We have visited Cheeca for over 20 years now, but the gentleman Chris Andino, who checked us in really went above and beyond in making our return stay special. He took extra time to make our return special, upgrading our room to the main Lodge which we love. He also spent extra time talking to us after pouring the glass...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The "Queen of the Florida Keys", Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been an exclusive hideaway for celebrities, business leaders and U.S. Presidents for over 70 years. Set on 27 private oceanfront acres in Islamorada, Cheeca has been constructed with a porte-cochere entrance, traditional Florida Keys architecture, chic West Indies décor, and spirited tradition of “barefoot elegance” -- a term coined at Cheeca. Along with a new breakfast bistro and lobby bar, Cheeca boasts three distinctive restaurants: Nikai Sushi Bar and Lounge offering the Florida Keys’ freshest sushi, Asian-inspired fare and a unique selection of Japanese sake and wine; Atlantic’s Edge with a seasonal fine-dining menu of fresh local seafood, prime steaks and organic local produce; and its family-friendly Limoncello Italian restaurant serving up Tuscan favorites in a casually rustic setting. Cheeca Lodge & Spa features 2,400 square-feet of retail shops with a Cheeca Signature store featuring the latest designer fashions and accessories. An expanded roster of activities include offshore and backcountry fishing, parasailing, sightseeing, eco-tours, paddleboards, water trikes, kayaks, golf, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard and more. The resort’s signature features include a classic 525’ wooden fishing pier, tropical gardens, crossing palms archway, nature trails, Tahitian-style Spa Lagoon, spectacular purple sunsets, 1100 feet of beaches, Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, Camp Cheeca children’s environmental activity program, and access to world-class sportfishing. Located just 90 minutes south of Miami International Airport in the Florida Keys, Cheeca Lodge & Spa is just a few hours by air or drive from major East Coast U.S. cities. ... more   less
