It's a beautiful site and you can get a spot right next to the water, but you can't swim in it there. Also, there's no power or water at individual tent sites. Idk if this is usual but there were also frequent large jets flying overhead loudly during our stay.

I brought my Boy Scout troop here for the second year in a row to tent camp and enjoy the Keys. Rain made it a tough trip, but the great facilities and terrific staff made it tolerable. The primitive camping area is a large open space, so you get a great breeze. It is also only about 40 yards to...

We stayed here for 3 nights in our VW bus and couldn't be more impressed with the grounds and amenities. It's the slow season so there was tons of space and it was hard not to feel like it was your personal piece of paradise. The employees were extremely helpful and made sure that we got the best lot for...

I liked this place a lot! We went camping with family in August of 2014. The bathrooms were very nice and clean, I love the area! Beautiful views! And iguanas running around! That's so cool! Also not far to drive for day trip Down to key west. That's always an adventure...

This place is amazing! Bathrooms are always clean. The waterfront sites are great but bring lots of bug spray and maybe a few fly traps to set around camp ground!! The " beach area" is just a wood platform where you can lay out and has a place to get into the water! The reef/ jetty near the camp site...

Horrible, horrible... Some people ruin camping for pet owners! Site was full of dog piles, how hard is it to pick up after your pet? We are pet owners and dont want this to cause it to disallow pets. Horrible drunk neighbour, slamming doors, fighting with wife and driving golf cart impaired... Security did NOT stop this? Loud music until...

Two nights of hell, all created by a horrible neighbour. Loud music, slamming doors, alcohol, dog poop, fighting. Our site was full of dog poop taking away from the fact we had a beautiful ocean side tent site. Neighbour had no respect for anyone including his wife! NO security to stop his BS. Severe storm hit and we lost our...

Location is the best, perfect to have a boat dock right behind slip. The baths need cleaning and update - I would not touch anything! the site was muddy after a recent rain and had a huge puddle making in/out of coach Impossible, we put a bucket of water at the door...sit was super small and we are only 23...

We stayed for two days at the end of June, in a tent on the waterfront. We had electric and water. There is a really fun bar and grill next to the campground with a pool, tiki bar, food, etc. The park was very quiet, the restrooms were clean, met a lot of nice people, had a great time :)...

This campground is in a good location, but it has a lot of long term residents which makes it feel like I'm vacationing in a bad neighborhood. Campers around us are set up with multiple outdoor living space complete with refrigerators, microwaves, outdoor sinks, and other appliances. Overall it's pretty tacky. The beach area could be very nice, but it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Knights Key Park and Marina has been a destination for campers for over 50 years. If you long for that laid back Florida Keys lifestyle, the way things used to be, you are going to love it here. We are not as fancy as some of the newer parks but we do offer the tropical island feel vacationers are looking for. Our staff is made up of friendly, knowledgeable locals that will gladly help with any needs. We are located in Marathon in the heart of the Keys! At mile marker 47, at the north end of the famous Seven Mile bridge on the Atlantic side. Our unique location offers quick access to the gulf or the Atlantic and is only 5.5 nautical miles to Sombrero Reef one of the most magnificent coral reefs in the keys! Knights Key is only 16 minutes away from Bahia Honda State Park, voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We are also port for the Pigeon Key ferry boat which offers numerous day trips to the historical Pigeon Key. I am sure you have heard the term "enter as strangers leave as friends" before and though I can't prove it I'm pretty sure it originated here on the FUN ISLAND! Your hosts Randy, Debra and our great staff at Knights Key. ... more   less
