microwave didn't work, cover was missing from coffee maker.
I had to hold a butter knife under the drip spout to make it work only important if you're a coffee person, but they provide flatware for two, so it was in the room. some interesting outdoor cafes and bars in the area, kind of sketchy if you venture too far
Negatives: Definitely needs renovating and sprucing up. The fixtures, furniture and beds need to be replaced, and the rooms updated. Beds were uncomfortable, and bedding threadbare. Water pressure was good in shower, though, and coffee maker, hairdryer, microwave, and fridge all functioned well.
Conclusion: We enjoyed our stay here mostly because of the location and the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of the place. You're not going to get 5 Star quality at this price, but for us, we could overlook its shabbiness and appreciate the amenities it does have and it's reasonable rate.
to enter complex. I have now spent much more time than I ever would want posting this review, but felt I must be fair in giving specifics. You are
now forewarned.

In the not-quite 2 years since my last visit, the hotel has deteriorated terribly--I suspect due to the fact that Mike (the owner) has decided to keep his rooms full by booking by the hour, week, or month to some of Lake Worth's seediest, noisiest, filthiest, and druggiest characters. So, if you are just a regular vacationer looking for a value-priced stay--you will be sharing space with all these folks, and washing their congealed black leavings off the bottom of your feet if you dare to go barefoot anywhere on the grounds or in your room.
Some highlights (see photos if you dare) include:
*the bed was fitted with an ancient, saggy, filthy mattress. The mattress itself was wrapped in several layers of crinkly, yellowing plastic. On top of this, it was fitted with dirty, slippery, polyester sheets complete with burn-holes. The sheets were too small for the mattress, so they slipped off if you got on or off the bed, leaving your skin to touch that awful plastic.
*The room had not been cleaned at all in God Knows how long. The bathroom came complete with copious pubic hairs left by what seemed to be a collection of different guests. Yes, that kind of UGH!.
*There were what looked like dried blood on the wall right by my head, nice!
*The ice bucket had cigarette holes in the bottom, and came already dusted heavily with someone's cigarette ashes.
*The toaster had an exposed copper wire, which would surely kill any guest silly enough to plug it in.
The water pressure was low, the walls were paper thin. I could hear what sounded lie a very large extended family yelling and screaming next door all night long. The rooms connect via a shaky door, so keep an eye on it!
The worst part was that when I dared to tell Mike that I was disappointed, he immediately became extremely agitated and almost violent. He walked into our room as my girl-firend was finishing her packing without knocking, turned off the A/C, and stood over us yelling "No refund! You did this! You made this mess!". etc as we got the heck out of there. He really seemed like a freaking psycho! He literally would not stop yelling at my girl-friend (who is very ill and under a doctor's care) until she finally shut him up by announcing that she would need an ambulance. What a congenial inn-keeper, huh?
So, in closing, I have reviewed quite a few hotels and restaurants here, and usually only post when I have something good to say. This place has gone so far downhill, and Mike's behavior was so out of line, that I felt the duty to warn others to stay far, far away from this dirty, dangerous, and thoroughly unpleasant place.
The worst was that roaches came out from under anything that moved! My slippers in the morning and my toiletries kit by the sink.
I made the mistake of walking around barefoot before putting on my shoes. Had to use towel to wipe sand from feet before putting on socks.
Really a low class place to stay.
