I would love to have given the Capri Apartments a higher rating, but a couple of things made our stay less than ideal.

The best things ... our room (109) was freshly remodeled & updated & exceptionally clean. The shower stall was a plus. Some reviewers mentioned lack of hot water, but we had no problems at all. The bed was firm (a plus for some, not so much for others), the pillows better than most motels. Check-in was easy & the staff pleasant. The grounds are well kept, parking is kind of tight, but we always had a spot right next to our room. The location is easy to find & convenient.

Our issues ... There's not much flat surfaces, so suitcases on the floor. French doors with opaque glass & a very bright light over the door made for poor sleeping conditions ... way too bright & no option for covering the glass. At least we could close the bathroom door to block the outside light shining through the bathroom window. We thought about taping the blanket over the French doors, but just suffered through 2 nights. Then there's the central a/c - no in-room controls make for a restless night going from too hot to overly chilled. The final issue was the paper thin walls. Thankfully we were on the end & only had one neighbor to listen to, but we were awakened at 6am by their TV blaring & assorted snorting & hacking & other unpleasant morning noises best kept to oneself.

Decide what you can deal with. Nice location, room & price, but bring ear plugs & an eye mask.

We had reserved 3 nigths at the Super 8 on Hypoluxo in Delray however, we arrived two nights early and went over to see if they had a room for the extra two nights. THEY did not but we decided immediately we were cancelling our reservation for the 3 nights we had, it was seedy etc. and not what we expected at all Wyndham. So at this motel there was a man who told us about the Capri Apartments, we called and they had one room available. We got a little lost getting there but the woman who owns the Capri guided us in and her husband stood in the driveway so we would not miss it, it was about 10:30 at night. The people at Capri could not have been nicer, the room was adequate and clean as a whistle, and had a kitchenette. They gave us a different place for after the 3 nights there, and it was an upgraded place with larger shower /bathroomand kitchen area. IT had been redone and was great. I surely will go back when in the Lake Worth area. Had free parking as well.

I arrived about 6:30 on Friday night.

The manager is not on the premises but there is a phone number near the office window and someone comes very quickly. From the outside, this hotel is not impressive. There is no lobby with a computer to use. As long as you bring your own computer or I Pad, you can use the wifi. It probably dates back to the 1950s, but.....

I stayed in a beautifully renovated room. The floor is beautiful as is the bed and beddding. The bathroom is also beautifully renovated with plenty of hot water. The room and bathroom are small but it was a perfect size for one person. A pair of frosted glass doors allow light to enter the room with no loss of privacy. I thought it might be noisy because it is close to the highway, but noise did not interfere with sleeping. I had a good wifi connection. I had no trouble finding a place to park when I returned at 10:00 at night. The manager told me that there was one parking spot for each unit.

Here is what was lacking:
1. A folding luggage rack - There is a beautiful, long cabinet and I could have put my suitcase on top of it; however, the television is mounted above the cabinet and I did not want the suitcase top to hit the TV. A folding luggage rack could easily be stored in the closet.

2. There are no towel racks in the beautiful little bathroom. The only place to hang a wet towel is the shower sliding door, but that is where the stack of fresh towels was placed. The bathroom needs a hotel style towel rack with a shelf on the top to store fresh towels and a bar below to hang a wet towel. Then the hand towels could hang on the shower door handle. The bathroom door could use a couple of hanging hooks.

3. The room needs an extra security sliding lock on the door. This is a first floor room with direct access to the outside. I would have felt more secure with an extra lock on the inside.

4. An in-room control for the air conditioning. The room was stuffy when I returned the first night. I could not find a control for the air conditioning. It was somewhat difficult to sleep. The next day, I found a cleaning person and asked her for help. She indicated that there was only one control for the building in which I was staying and it was not in my room. I called the manager's office and told them that the room was too warm and asked that the thermosat be adjusted so that the air would run more frequently. That was done and my second night of sleep was much more comfortable.

5. The quality of the towels could be improved.

Stayed here for one night and it was a disaster. I can live with no soap, half roll of toilet paper with no back up, and taking 30 mins to check in, you pay for what you get. The event that took this place from place holder to disaster was at 11pm when I tried to go to my car, the door wouldnt open. Called the number on the website, there wasnt anyone at the front desk, and they sent over a handy man. After 45 minutes of him beating on the door, unscrewing the handle and lock, he eventually had to knock the door down. The door was put back on with no lock or handle and I was told that it was fine. When I asked him what if it happened again and there was a fire he said "use the window". Not feeling safe in that scenario we left but not before being informed that if we didnt move our car immediately it would be towed. I called about a refund and am still waiting to hear back. Its been two weeks already. They informed Expedia that the refund was sent but lied to them as well. Bad customer service is the nice way to put it and unsafe stay.

My husband and I was in between housing and wanted to find lodging that was equipped with a small kitchenette. We never never stayed in those Mom and Pops establishment before, but we were running out of options and Capri motel in Lake Worth, Fl. was the closest to what we needed that had a vacancy. The room was clean but the bath towels were dingy, lamp shades disgusting and the room was stuffy and smelly. Worse, was the fact that the owner and his sidekick maintenance guy walk around the building at least twice a day to make sure that all the guest windows are shut closed to save her electricity money. And trust me she literally comes to you and ask you to close the windows. We originally paid for two weeks, but we left after one and went to a different hotel. Very very uncomfortable. We felt like we were in prison or lived in one of those association communities where condo commandos constantly tells you what to do. I would NEVER NEVER stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

We visited the Capri Motel & Apartments for two weeks. Our rooms were very clean and there was a lot of space. Our apartment had a living room with a TV, a bed room, a bath room and a fully equipped kitchen. There is enough space to stall your items.
The owners and the staff are very nice and always ready to help if needed. We liked this base very much.

We made reservations through Travelocity. On arrival to the motel it looked cute outside and the grounds were clean. Nicely decorated with palm trees. However upon check in we had to wait for the clerk who was apparently off site to arrive to let us into the room. We were two adults and two children in a one bedroom unit with a queen bed and pull out. The clerk told us that we would have to pay an additional 10.00 per child(who were 6 and 8) for the two nights we were staying although that was not communicated when the reservation was made. After threatening to leave she finally agreed to allow the children to stay for no additional cost. Upon entering the room there was a single A/C unit on the living room of the apartment and the bedroom was located in the back. The bedroom was sweltering. We had to take the mattress off the bed and put it in the floor in the room where the A/C was. The lady did find a rusty dirty fan that she offered us in the hot room. The water in the unit was brown and the fridge was not cold. Otherwise than these things the room was very clean. I would not recommend the pull out for an adult as it was VERY thin mattress. I would not stay here again.

Decided on this motel for a two night stay while basically visiting family. We only used the room as place to sleep and shower. The room (queen studio) was clean (although the tiles seemed sticky from mopping). This particular room evidently was not one of the renovated rooms shown elsewhere. The two nights sleep were the worst as far as bed comfort. The mattress was terrible and squeaked loudly with the slightest movement. The two pillows are extremely thin. I ended up buying 2 inexpensive pillows at the dollar store (I left behind) just to get through the second night. In all fairness, I did not speak to the office about it and just tried to get through the night. If only they would invest in a proper bed and pillows, my rating would be higher. The motel was quiet and I did not experience any noise or security concerns that I might have anticipated.

Clean, Convenient, Courteous Staff, Great for Business or Leisure and Pet-Friendly. Liked that rooms are all tiled floors. Full size refrigerator and oven and large coffee-makers. Remember to bring coffee and condiments. Would have been nice to have dish soap to wash dishes in kitchen sink. All cookware, plates, flatware, glasses, etc. are provided. I will definitely return when in town for business or pleasure.
