I stayed a the Travelodge with my family. We stayed at 2 rooms. My room was located on the 1rst floor with a kingsize bed for my husband and I. Although the room was very clean it smelled like cigarettes. I asked for a smoke free room. My adult kids stayed at another room with two queen size beds and had no warm comforters just plain sheets. When my daughter called the front desk the overnight person was very standoffish and rude. Asked my daughter to go outside and all around the property because the lobby was closed to retrieve warm sheets which was then told there were none. Very nonchalantly. At this time of the year Lakeland Florida was pretty cold. Surprised as I visited from NY and wanted to experience some nice warm wether. Additionaly they found a water bug in the bathroom and was told to come to the lobby to retrieve roach spray and kill it herself. She was told to throw a towel over it and someone would dispose of it in the morning. She also saw another roach in the morning. I wish I could say It was excellent but I can only say it was okay. The rooms were clean unfortunately the night shift were not as accomodating and sweet as the morning staff. SHAME....

Hi Fearless709418, Thank you for sharing your experience at the Travelodge Lakeland. We are a 100% smoke free hotel, however not every guest complies. When that happens we try our absolute best to eliminate any odors by cleaning the carpets and drapes as soon as possible. We apologize for your experience with the front desk, we will address this situation with our staff directly. Since it is typically quite hot in Florida we store our warmer blankets in the drawers and that information should have been conveyed. Also, we have regular pest control service which can sometimes aggravate any bugs in the area. We are sorry you had to encounter one! We will keep your feedback in mind moving forward as we further enhance our guests’ experience and satisfaction and we hope that you will consider staying with us again!

The bathroom which I had in what was supposed to be an accessible bedroom, had some grip rails on the tub wall. That's all. There was no fold down bench and no bars to hold on to when exiting the tub. The floor was extremely slippery and I almost fell. I had to call for assistance from my roommate and I was not hurt in any way. It could have been a lot worse. The hose for the handheld shower could have been a little bit longer so that it could reach any part of the tub. That was just convenience, and not safety.

Seriously consider a fold-down bench somewhere along the tub wall And perhaps a non-skid tile on the floor if you're going to call it handicap accessible.

People in a wheelchair or mobility scooter can only access their room from the parking lot by driving through the office. The office is locked up after 10:30 or 11:00 at night, although I have been told that the office would be open all night. There are no disabled spots, curb cuts or ramps on the sidewalk that led to my room.

We stayed at several hotels during our stay in this price range and this one was the best. Great pool area, smelled clean and the staff was constantly cleaning the windows, doors, etc instead of sitting around. We also loved the little porches each room has-ours looked out at the pool and we enjoyed sitting out there. We also liked having a sink in the bathroom and one outside of it. We will stay here again.

We booked a room several months in advance to stay one night for the Strawberry Festival in Plant City. A couple of days before our stay, we realized that the Up Up and Away Hot Air Balloon Festival was in Lakeland and we tried to book our king room for two nights. Unfortunately the king rooms were sold out, but we did book a queen room. Since we had to move , the staff was very accommodating and called us around 10:00 am to say that our queen room was ready. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We left the hotel before breakfast to go to the balloon festival. Recommended.

Very conveniently located just off of I4.This hotel was immaculately clean! Everything in the room worked. We had everything we needed, even an ironing board. The fridge had a nice sized freezer area in it. The balcony was nice too, overlooking the beautiful grounds and pool. The check in was smooth as silk, the lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful. A very well-kept property and has now become my go-to place to stay when in Lakeland. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. And if you have kids, there's a lot for them too. Right now, masks are required when you're in the lobby. Breakfast service was restricted due to COVID restrictions but there's a IHOP literally attached to this place. I'll definitely be staying here again!

The hotel is very clean and the staff are very nice. The location is right off of Highway 4 so you do get a lot of road noise. They only put a single sheet on the bed which isn't enough. Found a blanket after searching the drawers but it was unappealing so didn't use it. There was no shampoo in the shower or anywhere in the room and the hair dryer didn't work.

Thank you for your feedback, Ann. We are pleased you found your room nicely cleaned and that our staff was welcoming and helpful. We do apologize the highway noise was so loud and will look at ways to improve our soundproofing. We will look at the blankets to replace those that need it, and apologize you were not provided with shampoo or a functioning dryer. We hope you will give us another chance to serve you better in the future.

First off I want to say I am very displeased with this hotel. I came from out of town to visit a family member, and my family member had a room with this hotel. He had been there for a long time since April of 2020,and I noticed while I was there he had to keep asking for things that should have been provided to him such as towels, tissue and other things of necessity.Thrn on top of that they advised him that they could only change his bed once a week on Thursday's and there was even a incident where one of the housekeepers had information she had no business having such as telling him that he was suppose to check out that day which was not even the correct information because my family member had just went and paid to extend his stay the day before that was very embarrasing and very unacceptable when all the front desk had to do was call him and disguss that with him. No employee had any business knowing that my family needed to check out that room that's first off,and I observed all of this as I was there off and on visiting my family for about a little over a week, and while I was there he was arrested for a simple traffic citation. That's when it got real ugly. When he was arrested he left me in the room ,and I was going back and forth to another family members house bringing him certain things he needed so the next day I left the room after one pm and upon my return I couldn't use the key to the room so I go to the front desk
had to wait while the other worker that was doing nothing was texting on her phone for me to even be addressed and when I finally was addressed I advised her the key was not working and she nastily said with this evil look on her face yes the key isn't working because he was arrested and you are not on his guest list. I said ma'am he left me in his room when this happened so I was already in there and I have belongings in there also that I need to get,and I didn't understand why would they wait till I leave to lock me out of the room now mind you I had been there allday and I'm sure they knew I was there because why would they not call and say anything to me yet lock me out of the room when I left and treat me so unfair?I have belongings in there included some necessary medicine that I need to take daily, but she tell me in front of a guest checking in that the reason I can't use the key was because my family member was arrested and I wasn't a guest on his list I was furious because first off that's a invasion of his privacy and personal business to disclose his business out loud like that especially when guest were checking in and I'm pretty sure he heard her because she was loud and clear it was so humiliating ,secondly she had no right not to let me get my belongings I had in the room as a guest at that hotel there was no where in the paperwork where it said he wasn't allowed guests and Im talking to a lawyer now to sue the hell out of them because a lot of both of our rights and privacy was invaded and something need to be done about it because it's just not right how they operate at this facility very rude and unprofessional and it made me feel as if my family had been incarcerated twice by the way I was treated and it's not right or fair and me and my family have rights and I am going to fight for them .This was a short white lady with blond hair and she was so rude and unprofessional them the key wasn't working and

The Hotel was clean, no problems with reservations or check-in, friendly staff, very comfy bed, well maintained. A very nice hotel for a quick stay while traveling through. Just the basics in room, a fridge and microwave. But perfect for a good night's sleep when on the road. Very nice sliding screen door in room, makes it easy on street side to load and upload car, as it's easy access to the parking lot, and in view of car. They have poolside views as well. Only minus I have is the pool hours, 10am (when check out is 11, so no quick dip before leaving), and 8pm closing, way early. Could be opened a bit longer to enjoy the pool during our stay. Minor issue, but many look forward to a dip in the pool when traveling.

To be clear, this is a Travelodge. It is not luxurious. When they say it's a double bed they mean it - it's not a queen.
That said, this is an outstanding motel and one that I would go back to. The people working their are pleasant, friendly, and professional. The room was spotless. Yes, there were a few nicks in the paint and Covid has limited some of the things you might expect like breakfast, but this is good value for the money. You might want to ask for a room facing the pool or at least away from the highway if highway noises bother you - it's right next to I-4. And note that the easy exit to make a left out of the motel is through the iHop parking lot next door.

This hotel initially looked like a bad choice, but I'm so glad we stayed! It was very clean, quiet, and very comfortable. We loved the pool, and that it was so close to our sliding doors! And the beds and dark curtains helped me get a very needed great night of sleep. The pool had a shallow side and an 8ft deep side. And it was very peaceful, which I didn't expect. Also, I very much appreciated the staff accommodating our family with disabilities, putting us in an accessible room, right off the entry and by the pool.
