This is a hidden gem in LBTS. This quaint 12 unit hotel is two blocks from the beach, grocery stores and a 5 min walk to the center of town. They include 2 beach chairs and umbrella with your stay. We had a room with 2 queen beds, kitchen and small table for morning breakfast. They include, a coffee maker, toaster, micro wave, all the dishes, etc etc. The beds were great and the shower has great presure
The check in was easy. It was clean, and we meet nice people sitting around the pool. Remember your here for the ocean and this time of year the warmth. So, check out this place and enjoy the weather. We will be back. Thank you

We arrived after 17.00h so the reception was closed. But, to our relief, the manager taped an envelop with instructions and the room keys at the door of the reception. Our luxury room was on the second floor and offered a great view on the pool from the entrance. The bedroom was very large and the bed comfortable. There was a separate kitchen with a dinner table. The kitchen itself offered enough equipment to make a good meal and your own coffee. The bathroom was quite small but suited our needs. This hotel offers a nice pool with some sun beds. Next to the pool there was a large terrace with four dinner tables and chairs for the guests. This small hotel has a very cozy atmosphere. The only complain is the loud noise of the road in front of the hotel. It’s not noticeable in the rooms but it’s a little bit disturbing the holiday feeling when you are outside.

Location, location, location. The hotel is in the perfect spot, just two blocks from the beach, two blocks from the market and three blocks from the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea center, with restaurants, bars and cool spots.
The rooms are HUGE. Ours had two separate bedrooms, with king size beds in both of them, an enormous diner/living room and a spacious and very well provided kitchen (appliances, dishes, everything you need). TVs in every room, good central heating/AC (controlled from inside the room).
Common areas are a plus. Everything is clean and spotless, even during the pandemic. Beach towels, umbrellas and chairs provided by the hotel.
Undoubtedly a very good choice.

Room Tip: We highly recommend the two-bedroom apartment, with its own private terrace.

We came in this motel 3 years ago and it was a wonderful experience: cleaned, nice, friendly.
Daily housekeeping, service and quality amenities provided.

Back with this positive remembering in mind, we now booked for 3 weeks again… What a disappointing surprise!!!

The motel is now run by an apartment rental company, with ZERO service at all.
No on-site personnel, no room service, no amenities supply, no cleaning, neither bedsheets and towels replacement…
After complaining for these basic requirements, we were told they provide only 2 toilet paper rolls for starting our stay, and we have to care for any complementary amenities of any kind, on our own for the whole stay.

Besides, the room was furnished with secondhand damaged pieces of furniture.
When turning the shower faucet in raising the pressure, the shower head is pushed out… Fortunately I didn’t receive it in my face!

The management explains to us that it operates only as an apartment rental provider without service.
However, you receive a room which is equipped with a small fridge, a microwave and an electric coffee maker; no dishes/cutlery at all, no telephone, no maintenance or replacement of bathroom and swimming pool towels, no change bedsheets… Just a broom, a dustpan and a mop to do the cleaning yourself.

All public information on classical booking websites are made under the name "Great Escape Inn" but actually connected to the new company "Great Escape LOWKL", though still linked to the positive guests appreciations concerning the previous hotel ownership.

If we had known, we would never have come back here.

Our advice: for the same price you can surely find another better place and service, even for a motel.

My brother and I stayed for 6 nights earlier this month, we have been to the area many times but never tried this cute place. We both agree that we will be back, we were treated very kindly by the staff who provided beach chairs and umbrellas, answered questions and exchanged towels promptly.
The room we had was very clean and provided kitchen facilities, we love to make a trip to Publix for their great fried chicken and key lime pie
The pool was refreshing and clean and we were very happy with our stay. I highly recommend!!

This is my 3rd stay here and again it was fabulous. My brother and I were in town to take care of some family business that was extremely stressful. The staff was wonderful and knowing we were coming back to a immaculate huge 1 bedroom every evening made our day more bearable.
I would highly recommend this establishment! It’s close to the beach and shops, has pool and laundry facilities. Stock up on groceries at Publix nearby and you are set!

The units here are all managed by Lowkl now. They advertise it as The Great Escape by Lowkl. The furniture is incredibly cheap, vertical blinds are missing slats, mold in the bathroom window. Old wood floors are dirty and finish is worn off. Mattresses are awful as well. The bathroom sink is missing the plug. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher (not a big deal), but we were only given one dish towel the size of a wash cloth. The only condiments in the kitchen are salt and pepper packets. There are no baking dishes. Two of the three frying pans were dirty. The third was too thin to use.

Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. The only positive about this place was its location. We are incredibly sorry we stayed here. Worst place we have ever seen in all our years of travel.

The quality of the furniture was disappointingly poor, and to our dismay, we were not allocated the room we had initially rented. Instead, we were given a less desirable room lacking the kitchen amenities we had anticipated. Despite our reservation for a two-room apartment, we were provided with a single-room accommodation.

The staff members were uncooperative and failed to assist with our concerns. The room itself was unsatisfactory, displaying evident signs of dirt and mold. Adding to the discomfort, the charging sockets were malfunctioning. Moreover, the assurance of an ocean view, as conveyed during the rental process, proved to be false.

Given the overall dismal quality of our experience, I unequivocally advise against choosing this accommodation.

The place is definitely dated. Pretty bad musty smell in the room (even for Florida) and the bed was pretty aweful. AC does blow cold and it’s about a 1/2 block walk to the beach (around the corner). Also no extra kitchen amenities like coffee filters or sugar packets or anything like that.

Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas at pool. 2 minutes walk to beach and shopping center. 5 minutes walk to the best dining LBTS has to offer. Love it here!!!

Sorry this answer is late, and perhaps you already found your answer. This area is 20-30 minutes from the cruise port depending on traffic. Transportation is up to you. We loved it there, but stayed 3 nights pre cruise. Just one night might be better closer to port!
