The Whale House Guest House is in a prime location. It’s actually so perfect, we can’t think of anywhere better. Our place is situated in the community of Mobile, smack dab in the middle of the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, with hundreds of whales feeding in the water just off the sundeck all summer long.

We had a nice time. The bed was comfortable, and suite was very clean. Host is responsive and gives thorough instructions for how to find the place, manage check-in, and hot tub. A private hot tub to sit under the stars, even when it’s cold out, is awesome.

Very beautiful spot with the most comfortable bed. Our evening was spent barbecuing and in the hot tub which created the perfect atmosphere and was exactly what we were looking for. Waking up to the most beautiful sunset was unexpected but once you realize the bed is facing east, it really shows how much thought and care was put into the layout and design.

My wife and I had an early fall one night stay at this beautiful facility. The place was as advertised and the service was great. It's a great place to enjoy the fall weather on the Southern Shore of Newfoundland and it's right next to many amenities such as the East Coast Trail and great food options including being a short walk from a fantastic fine dining restaurant the Fork. Service was flexible and helpful with the few requests we made. Overall, a very nice experience in a great location.

The space is beautifully designed, blue whale room has ample space and two decks. We ate at the Fork, gourmet food just 150 metre walk away. Hot tub in the sun before dinner and after, under the stars. East coast trail walk after breakfast. A perfect get away! Half an hour from town.

What a wonderful place to stay. We stayed at the Right Whale suite which is basically one room with everything you need. We could cook a meal inside or use the BBQ provided outside. The bed was so comfortable. The grounds have a tiny hobby farm with ducks roaming around, wild birds and beautiful landscaping. Follow the trail from your door right to the east cost trail where the views are amazing. Pick berries as you go for a snack. We will definitely return but maybe in the early summer for some whale watching.

Location, location, location sums up this venue. We stayed in the eco-friendly right whale suite. While small in size it had all the amenities needed for our 3 night stay. You are literally minutes away from the East Coast Trail from the suite as well as The Fork Restaurant which is a must do. Convenience store with NLC express also a short distance away on the main highway. All in all a great stay.

Our stay at the guest house was very comfortable and relaxing. The location of the guest house is convenient to find and nearby to a nice hike on the East Coast Trail, which we completed prior to check-in. The room we were in (Humpback Whale suite) had its own hot tub and it was well equipped, although the breakfast offerings could be improved slightly. We enjoyed the ducks wandering about the place and found it quite quiet at night, even though there were a number of guests staying at the time. We would certainly stay here again if in Mobile.

It is overpriced for what you get. No ocean view. Not recommended because the room was too small and crowded. I was charged $60.00 for cleaning fees. We washed our own dishes and cleaned up after ourselves. The bed was against the wall and made for a problem getting out of bed.

Gosh this place was just amazing! Lovely room, inviting hot tub, close to walk down to the water for beautiful views and birds. Amanda was a great host and checked in to made sure we were taken care of. BONUS - adorable baby ducks on the property.
