This was a wonderful place for a quiet retreat. The cottages are clean, comfortable and well stocked. The full kitchen had a full size coffee pot, oven, and fridge. I stayed in the Nature Cottage, which was right on the water, and had it's own porch. Very big dog friendly....my 120 lb Mastiff loved it too! Kathy runs a great...

We've been coming here for years. It's a wonderful oasis on a quiet canal, across from a small marina. It's in a residential neighborhood, away from the busy Gulf Blvd, but a short walk to beautiful Madeira Beach and near John's Pass and Publix, etc. The last two years we've brought our dog with us. She loves it, too. Not...

Just got home from another great stay at Changing Tides Cottages. So relaxing in our well equipped, comfortable cottage surrounded by lush Florida greenery. Even had some playful dolphins swim by one morning! Coffee on the comfy front porch each day, set the tone for a wonderful visit. Can't wait to go back.

Ok, we were limited in finding a week rental over Christmas that took larger dogs. Here are the the pros and cons Pros- Take large dogs Area fenced in Location in walking distance to Johns pass Price reasonable Bedrooms larger (living area very small) Grill/picnic table area for congregating Private and patio outside unit which I used often since the...

Changing Tides Cottages works very hard to provide a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. We are on the property most of the time and are visible and available. So, it catches us by surprise when a guest brings forward a list of complaints on Trip Advisor that were never mentioned or even alluded to while being a guest...

My dog and I have been with Kathy for the last 3 out of 4 years. I do travel quite a bit but have never done a review. After reading the recent review on the jungle room I had to speak up. I have no idea what place they were talking about, because it sure wasn't changing tides. I was...

Wasn't so sure I'd like Madeira Beach, I'm more of a Panhandle gal, but I was pleasantly surprised. This place is so relaxing: stayed in Sports cottage and loved it. These cottages are pretty old, I'm guessing, but I found them clean and comfortable. I saw bugs outside, and a few small lizards, but as someone else said this is...

This is our second visit and both times stayed in the Nature cottage. Both times our cottage has been very clean and the owners are helpful in area restaurants and places to visit. Our favorite thing is our dogs are so welcome without the ridiculous extra charges. The beach and Johns pass is so close to walk too. You get...

We really enjoyed this stay. I read other reviews mentioning bugs and uncleanliness. As far as the bugs...this is Florida. You're bound to get the occasional bug, especially roaches. And unless you see tons of them (which we did not) then there is nothing to be alarmed about. You are in a tropical setting. They sneak in. As far as...

I would like to start off and say that my husband and I take a lot of mini vacations and love traveling our wonderful state, so we've stayed in many hotels, cabins, condos, ect. We were looking for something a little more low key and relaxing and boy did we find it at Changing Tides! This place was exactly what...

Stayed at Jungle Cottage for three seasons during month of March. Wife walked across floor to goto bed, feet were dirty and black. Had to wash her feet. Birds in the attic kept us awake at night. Second season thought we would try it again, floors still filthy, and we had raccoons in the attic. Overall place was filthy. Liked...

I must say that I find this ‘review’ more of an attack than a review of our Jungle Cottage. I am also saddened to think that after three seasons a guest of ours would feel such anger and frustration with me, Kathy. During the winter season we spend anywhere from 30 – 90 days with our guests. It begs credulity...
