The hosts are extremely friendly and make a great breakfast and dinner. Very close to the historical Clonmacnoise historical site. Somewhat expensive. Bathroom water was too cold in the morning.

Kate and John really welcome you warmly into their home. They are consummate hosts and truly have a passion and love for sharing their home with traveling visitors. They cooked us a delicious dinner and a lovely Irish breakfast. A must-stay for those embarking on a trip to the West of Ireland.

We spent one night at Kajon House few days ago and we felt like at home. Rooms are nice and clean, the owners are really kind!!!Breakfast is great and the position of the B&B is really closed to Clonmacnoise and it really worth a visit.

We were so fortunate to end our 12 day vacation in Ireland at the Kajon House. Kate greeted us so warmly, and even cooked up some toasted sandwiches for us so we could watch the Euro 2012. Kate and John make a great team of hosts and made us feel so at home. Kate even packed us off with fresh...

It's a pitty that we only stayed one night in this beautiful B&B (the best in Ireland...we still love the bed). We had a great time. We loved the scones, the banana bread, the breakfast and esp. Kate, John and the sweet dog :-* We have never stayed at such a nice place. The countryside is beautiful and the next...

We spent 3 wonderfully memorable nights at the Kajon B&B. The owners Kate, and John could not have been more gracious — or humorous — hosts. They provided great food (the homemade scones are a must have), and accommodation. The view from our en-suite guest room was beautiful, overlooking the lush green countryside. The room and bathroom were spotless, and...

We stayed for one night only. Unfortuneatly!! Kate and John are the most welcoming hosts and the place is lovely. We felt more like friends than guests. We arrived late in the evening but Kate still welcomed us with tea and homemade banana bread. Absolutely amazing. Our beds were comfy and the toilet nice and clean. The breakfast was yummy...

We arrived following a recommendation by the Tourist Office in Athlone. How lucky for us that we were sent to Kajon House set in such a beautiful rural setting. Kate welcomed us warmly with tea and delicious home made scones. We were then given good advice on visiting local areas of interest. We returned for a delicious evening meal prepared...

We arrived late in the day without a reservation and were greeted with so much friendliness and care it was very refreshing! We were very fortunate there were two rooms available for us (outside of peak season mind you), because this was one of the best places we stayed during our two week stay in Ireland. The hospitality was genuine...

It is a wonderful place to be. The rooms are very tidy and the food (dinner and breakfast) was very, very good. But what I will remember most will be the couple running this BB. Although we arrived without reservations were greeted like we have been awaited. My mum summarised it very well: It's like staying with friends.
