We have just walked out of this building after waiting quarter of an hour to even to be acknowledged after a the receptionist told us food and drinks were available at the bar. There was not a soul in sight but tables were littered with dirty plates. The menu was awfully limited. Don't bother wasting your time

Just come back from a five day break, stopping at the Eden Arms. Everything was very good, food, cleanliness of room, front desk staff, waitresses, and bar staff especially Emily. There was plenty of stuff to do, Durham Castle Cathedral, Statue at Seaham, Newcastle, and Beamish Museum. Best part of the five days was the entertainment and I won a...

Eden Arms Hotel is another one of our great character hotels. The building dates back to the 17th-century when it was a coaching inn. Many of our guests use the hotel as a base to explore the city of Durham and the picturesque countryside around. The location, just eight miles from the historic city centre, is the ideal place to relax and unwind for both leisure and business travellers alike. For those who are keen to explore further afield, the city of Newcastle with its regenerated riverfront and great shopping and hospitality is within easy driving distance.
