We booked this hotel for one night as our flight was cancelled. When I called to book I was not informed that I would have to pay for parking. At check in, the attendant informed me about the price of 10 dollars per night but said he wouldn't charge me because I was only staying one night (they charge because some people leave their car in the parking lot to go to the airport for some reason). I was happy that there was no charge. However, at check out, the person who helped me said that parking would be charged because it was on their website about this charge, even though I informed that the attendant the night before said he would not charge. Anyway... I paid, but despite always staying at a Hampton Inn, I will never return to this hotel. Room ok, clean, typical Hampton Inn, breakfast with several options, although the music volume in the breakfast place was loud...breakfast has to be quiet, not noisy.

This is one of the worst Hampton’s I’ve stayed at. I’m a diamond member so I’ve stayed at quite a few. Carpet in hall is warn out and dirty looking. Worn out non reflective mirror in room. Broken tile in bathroom and drain stop missing. Room smelled of some kind of cover up scent and I have many allergies. I stay at Hampton’s because they are suppose to have a set standard for all their hotels. It’s the reason I picked this hotel near the airport. In the future, I think I will be trying a different hotel. I frequent this area quite a bit since I have family here. The staff was not so friendly at check in. I observe them dealing with a different customer at the front desk earlier in the day around 10:30 AM. The guest asked if they would be able to check into their room early. The response they got from the front desk wasn’t aggressive. There is a fee to check in early. of course they got an assertive response back off if the room is ready at check-in time of 3 PM do we get a discount? One woman responded appropriately saying that let’s worry about that if it happens. The other younger worker said I’m not going to answer that question, no you don’t get a discount. Then they both went on to have a conversation while I stood there about how terrible customers are these days. Very inappropriate. This whole building looks very worn out and appears to be in a not so great area area you don’t walk around at night. Luckily, you have to use your key card to get off the floor of your elevator. I was also disappointed when I checked in that they didn’t do price matching. I’ve never been to Hampton Inn that didn’t do price matching. I literally had to stand there at the front desk and book online through a travel agency and wait for them to get the confirmation for 10 minutes so I can save $50.00 especially as a diamond member I found this extremely disappointing. There is nothing pleasant about their attitudes. No friendliness no customer service nothing. Since the Rams win to be ready until 3 PM we left came back much later in the day around 8:30 PM. This new employee working behind the desk was equally unfriendly. Not welcoming in anyway. So disappointing for Hampton Inn.

The property is located 5 minutes from the Miami airport terminal, also served by a free shuttle to and from the airport. The rooms are standard US ones with 2 queen beds and large bathroom, well soundproofed. Furnished in a simple and essential way. "CONTINENTAL" breakfast included, typical of US standards, with a wide choice and good quality of food. Average price, perhaps even a little lower than other similar chain hotels in the area. For a pre or post flight night it is definitely good.

We stayed one night after flying into the nearby airport. The hotel shuttle picked us up within about 10-15 minutes after we called the hotel to let them know that we had arrived. The hotel is quite close to the airport, and we could hear planes taking off but they were muffled enough as not to disturb us. The front desk clerk was quick to get us checked in and when we asked about transportation options to the cruise port the next day, she offered to sign us up for a transfer ($12/person) which was billed to our room. The room was very spacious with lots of electrical and USB plugs available. The bathroom was large enough for two people to easily use it at the same time with plentiful counter space and hot water. The window had 3 shades on it which completely blocked out any light. We enjoyed the included breakfast since it had a large variety of options (eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, etc.). The only negatives were that the bed (room 223) on the clock side was worn out and sagged somewhat, and the toilet seat seemed cheap as it shifted when sat upon.

An unexpected visit to the HAMPTON INN at 3449 N.W. 42nd Ave., Miami, Fl. after a long delay with our flight from the nearby Miami International AirPort to Heathrow.
American Airlines emailed us a digital coupon, which we redeemed at the front desk after a very long wait in the early hours of Friday Nov 1, 2024, with the many other passengers.
Our short stay was a positive one:
👍 Spacious and modern room 👍 Quiet air conditioning unit 👍 Clean 👍 Friendly staff who coped well with the unexpected appearance of delayed passengers 👍 Comfortable bed 👍 Hot shower and bright bathroom 👍 The hotel had many useful and attractive facilities, which we didn’t use (including a swimming pool) 👍 Free WiFi 👍 Complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste - a big help as we had no toiletries or luggage with us
👎 Telephone in the room wouldn’t work, so we couldn’t contact the front desk with an inquiry 👎 Many of the USB ports wouldn’t work 👎 Slow elevators
The Hampton by Hilton is about a mile from Miami International Airport and we saw a dedicated shuttle bus for ferrying passengers back and forth. The runway can be seen from the lobby but we didn’t find the noise of the airplanes intrusive in our second floor room.
We would recommend this hotel if you are flying from Miami.

It has been my experience that there is a much lower set of standards for hotels in Florida. Therefore, we were not expecting this Hampton Inn to be as nice as we are accustomed to. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Miami Airport East twice in nine days. The bathroom was clean both times, but the sleeping area was not clean either time. Although I requested a room on the top floor furthest from the elevator, we were given a handicap accessible room on the first floor. Our flight arrived late that evening, so that could have contributed to that. Exhausted, I went to bed but had trouble going to sleep because of the smell of urine in the room. It was not from the bed, so it must have been the carpet. The bathroom did not smell. The second time, there was a lot of dirt that looked like tree bark on the counters, and behind the TV. I'm not sure what that was about, but it should not have been there. Both times, I brought the problems to the desk clerk's attention in the morning, but no offer for points or financial compensation was made. There are other Hampton Inns near the airport, so I would recommend those instead.

The airport shuttle was great. We had to wait for about 20 min or so but the friendly driver made sure we were staying at this Hampton Inn. There are many shuttles come and go. Theirs was a bright orange van. We could not do the early check-in, but that’s because we specified the room 501 to see the planes take off. It was worth the wait as far as the view was concerned. The rolling curtain was broken, however, and there was no amenities like lotion, etc, no plastic bags for the ice bucket. No memo pad, either. I had to ask for glasses/cups, but no housekeeper came so I had to send my son to the front desk. The breakfast was mediocre, the food truck was ok if you don’t mind waiting for the food. We were a family of 4, so it was cheaper to Uber to the port for the cruise instead of paying $12/pp. Overall, the stay was fine before the cruise. Nothing fancy, but it was only for 2 nights.

I rated this a two because the room was not bad, but I wish I could’ve given it more stars. I used to stay at this hotel all the time it was like a brand new hotel. The only issue was always maybe the parking at night if you came back to your hotel late at night. I thought it was a bit ridiculous that they were charged for parking when there was hardly any parking to begin with, but I was still OK with the hotel and liked staying there. I just recently visited them this week and the hotel lobby is very ran down. Feels like a very high trafficked hotel needs to have more cleanliness about it maybe the carpet can get a little cleaning every once in a while . It seems like the lobby just never gets really cleaned as good as it should. I was very shocked at how ran down the hotel looked after staying there quite a few times in the past. I am also a Hilton Honors member and didn’t get offered my water or anything, etc.. Not a big deal. Just seems like they’ve let the place go a bit.

The room and second floor smelled so bad of humidity which wouldn't be the fault of the hotel if they provided housekeeping as they once did. Room wasn't clean enough and toilet wasn't clean I had to use clorox wipes We stayed 5 days and had to ask for housekeeping only to be told they wouldn't make our beds or clean toilets etc ( although it's stated in written inside the room that if we want that we could just ask for it). We ran out of toilet paper and towels and had to wait for hours to get them. Only solution was to go get them ourself from front desk. Staff at front desk were helpful and friendly but housekeeping staff were moody and didn't speak a word of English not a word.We couldn't communicate at all and had to point to our trash for it to be changed or to towels. This wasn't the Hampton Inn we knew and we are Hilton honors card holders. The location was really bad too, close to airport true but not a place to walk or shops around at all. Pool and fitness room were nice and breakfast was great like all Hampton inns.

I give it a 2 because the staff was friendly and they deserve credit for that. Otherswise, it would be a 1. Three reasons for that. 1) the free airport shuttle in the morning for an 8 am international flight (meaning shuttle was at 6) was full. I had called the desk to reserve the night before and they don’t take reservations. So we were lucky that there was a taxi waiting for a fare (a little suspicious, no?) and got to the airport in time, but at a price. 2) the room was like a dorm room and smelled bad. 3) no food services at all. We had to order a pizza delivery for dinner and there were no plates or napkins or forks included. $49 would have been a reasonable price Imaybe), but we paid over $200 including tax for a Monday night!
