Came to Ritz Carlton CG for a day pass before heading off to the airport, puts cruise. Staff were extremely helpful during our stay, Jimmy at the bar was a stand out excellent. Pool was great, and heated. Near the pool was an outdoor Ping Ping and Chess to use. Also available was free Suncream and after sun. We stored our luggage and went off for a walk and some lunch just ten minutes away, all very family friendly.

Hotel's Favourite
Our stay at this Ritz Carlton property was amazing. The entire team, especially Julissa Ramirez, Front Office Manager, provided excellent service with a great attention to detail even during an amazingly busy family weekend. The property and spa amenities are stellar. Great room and view. I very much recommend this property and we very much look forward to our return visit!

If you are contemplating visiting Coconut Grove in Miami, definitely choose the Ritz Carlton hotel. Not only is the location superb, the staff and hotel itself are equally fantastic. From the moment you drive up and are greeted by the friendly and courteous valet team, you realize this property is unique. The front desk personnel are cordial and diligent. Housekeeping and restaurant staff are responsive and tireless in their efforts to deliver the Ritz experience daily. The gym is extensive. The pool is pristine. We called ahead and spoke with Amy ( one of the managers) about some special requests. Not only did Amy oblige our request, she ensured that the staff was aware of our special occasion and needs. The staff is reflective of her professionalism. We are grateful. The hotel smells like a flower garden- both clean and refreshing. Each room is immaculate. I am a lifetime Titanium Elite member with Marriott. My basis for comparison is quite extensive. This is as fine a hotel experience that one may hope to find. 5/5 stars property.

It is hard to exceed expectations at the Ritz because you walk in having high expectations.. but honestly Everyone at this hotel DID! Especially Ms.Wise she was so kind, professional and pleasant. I ran into her in the hallway, didn’t know who she is and mentioned couple concerns I had …few minutes later they were addressed and solved ! it is very rare these days to find a manager who is solution oriented..everyone these days wants to say no to you and blame it on Covid but not Ms. Wise! Every employee from the valet staff to luggage service, the outstanding housekeeping and the staff at Isabella are truly great asset. They are all happy to see you and happy to help you! Even the employee that replenishes water and towel at the gym was so kind! That all shows great management and great appreciation towards the staff.. it always runs from the top good or bad..and this was great!

From arrival to departure, we were greeted, by name, by every genuinely happy and attentive employee at this property. The property itself is extremely clean and well maintained throughout. While it maintains a classic "Grove elegance" ambiance in the public areas, the bedrooms are spacious and have been tastefully updated with all the modern amenities, comfortable beds and beautiful white marble bathrooms to round it all out. Room service was great and always delivered with a smile. Luis, the GM of Food & Beverage at the hotel, is very focused on customer experience and satisfaction, as well as the overall quality of the food. The spa was most relaxing with experienced and professional staff. We highly recommend "The Art of Vichy" body exfoliation and the Hydrafacial - my girlfriend and I both had them and the results were fantastic! Our therapist, Liliana, was phenomenal! We were even able to relax by the pool between appointments and enjoy drinks and apps from the pool bar. The valets and bellmen were also fantastic and took very good care of us and our belongings. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove and look forward to our next!

Ritz Carlton is the epitome of luxury and with that comes the expectation they “get it” and understand the needs and at times challenges of their clients. I had a recent 2-night business trip planned but unfortunately became very ill with flu the night before my trip, deciding to stay home as unwell to travel but also so as not to expose other members of the public. I called the Ritz to explain my situation, mindful of their no cancellations policy, thinking that while I understand the policy, the circumstances would at least warrant a credit to be used towards a future stay. The Ritz proved unaccommodating and indicated if I did not show up, I would incur the charge. Mind you, the hotel policy, website and many client-facing representations speak to how this property (paraphrasing here) puts the health and safety of their clients as a top priority. Clearly this may not be the case in this instance, as the hotel would rather have a sick guest staying on their property to potentially sicken other guests, then lose or delay the recognition of revenue. A little appreciation and compassion in these challenging times with rising sickness levels is something that one would expect from a brand such as the Ritz, particularly when they emphasize being guided by ensuring a clean and healthy environment. Shameful.

I have been staying at this hotel for over 20 years on and off and this is my first time returning since the pandemic. First the positives, the newly renovated restaurant is fabulous both in terms of quality and service and was the highlight of my stay. The valet was friendly and efficient, this is a marked improvement as the valet at this hotel used to be a disaster. The rooms have been somewhat refreshed, however they still have several problems like holes in the wall, lots of chips and nicks, ripped towels, and because the carpets were replaced with vinyl flooring, you hear so much noise from the hallway and other rooms, even being in a two bedroom suite. The service here is lackluster, very hard to get somebody on the phone, late housekeeping, water bottles and coffee capsules not replaced daily, little details like that missed. Also will note most of the snacks in the minibar were expired, brought this to management’s attention twice, was told I wouldn’t be charged for anything, and still was charged at check out. For the price, I would still recommend Mr C as a better choice in the grove.

We've stayed at various Ritz Carlton's, we love the service, the amenities at every past stay. We were really excited to be able to spend the night at the Miami Coconut Grove Ritz. Unfortunately our expectations were not even close to being fulfilled. After checking in we headed down to the pool, there was at least 6" of water in a plugged drain past the gate. Everyone had to walk through that to get into the entrance. The water was still there Monday morning. I am not in hotel maintenance but a small pump and even a broom to push the water out would of helped. 8 o'clock in the morning laying in bed the fire alarm went off. We were both worried that there could be a fire in the building, so we threw on clothes grabbed a few personal items and headed out to the hall towards the stairs. Once we got in the hall the only place that the alarm was ringing was in our room. We went to the phone by the elevators where we called the front desk, the girl said they would send somebody right up. We waited in the hall and 10 minutes later the alarm shut off and still nobody from maintenance arrived. We headed back in the room where we waited another 20 minutes or so then made another call to the front desk. They said they would send somebody right up. Half hour later still nobody showed so we called the front desk and said we were headed down to the pool. We figured somebody would stop in and tell us what the issue was. Sitting by the pool there was too many young kids screaming and noise and at this point we were just frustrated. We gathered up our belongings from the room, checked out and decided to go to the beach. My wife stopped in at the front desk as we were checking out and asked to speak with the manager. She spoke with The Assistant Rooms Executive, Lawrence Von Rumohr just to explain that our fire alarm had gone off which really ruined our morning, as you can imagine, and stressed us out not knowing why the alarm was going off. We made 3 calls, nobody ever came up nor did they tell us what the problem was or to offer an apology. It didn’t seem like anybody really cared about our safety, which left us leaving frustrated over this special stay we wanted. Lawrence had already knew we were very upset so he offered to refund our parking and one drink from the pool bar. He also stated we should be credited for the award night certificate we used for this stay and was reaching out to Bonvoy to get that taken care of. We followed up 2 days later and he asked that we gave him another day. That was 10 days ago. Lawrence has not returned any other communication with us. This has been far from the experience we thought we would have at a Ritz property. The rooms are nice. The one guy at the pool plus the guys at valet were nice to talk with. This property is really more of a business hotel over the resort feel we are used to at the Orlando location. We love Orlando and have stayed here over 7 nights. One small pool, no hot tub. We would not even consider this facility close to the same class as other Ritzs properties we have been too.

Very nice hotel. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating but our room wasn’t ready until two hours past check in time. We love the room and amenities at the hotel. Very nice pool area and other outdoor areas at the hotel were very nice. Very good location in Coconut Grove within walking distance to attractions and restaurants. The only reason I gave the hotel four stars instead of five stars is because we did not get our room on time. we had plans to get our room so we can attend an event but we were late.

Very friendly hotel with great staff, fancy restaurant, and blocks from Coconut Grove. Lawrence was constantly helpful at front desk and Dewey at door. Special thanks to Gian Carlos, waiter at Isabella’s restaurant with whom we engaged in interesting discussions of his world travels.
