We've stayed twice at this hotel, once in 2022 and again this yer. It's a nice hotel with a great location. There's a little grocery store across the street, Fresh Market and a Starbuck's about a block away. The restaurants and shops of Coconut Grove are a quick Uber away, you pay to park everywhere there and it can get pricy so Ubers are just easy. It's about 10 minutes to the Causeway to go to Key Biscayne and about 15 minutes to downtown Brickell so it's a great location and easy to get to from the airport. The staff are very nice, Martin at the bar is especially friendly and helpful. The rooms vary in size but are clean and comfortable. The thing that I noticed last yer and again this year is the size of the sink in the bathroom. Incredibly small. Who would ever think a sink of that size is o.k. At any rate, I know what to expect and would stay here again.…
Hotel was amazing and the staff is great. There is construction next to the hotel but the noise doesn’t come in at all. The rooms are nice and big. Only the bathroom in the one bedroom two room suites are super small which is a bad design. The hotel is a new property and well maintained. The front desk is amazing. The Starbucks staff is amazing . Special shot out to Emilda at Starbucks she is amazing. The pool is big nice cabanas. They should have a DJ like Thursday to Sunday or something to make it even more fun. 10 mins to the port if taking the cruise and 20-25 mins to Miami Beach. Overall highly recommended property and would definitely got back again.
Stayed here for work one night. Arrived and used the valet car service; I do not think there is a self parking option. Check in was a breeze and the front staff were very pleasant. I was given a really nice upgraded room; was a king suite, but did not have an ocean view. Went back to the lobby to ask if I could change to a room with an ocean view and was told that I could get one, but it would not be an upgraded room. I didn't care about the suite and took the room with the view. The room was perfect for just me and had a great view of the ocean & marina. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the bartender was the nicest I have had in a while. Food was good too. Will definitely stay here again if working in the area in the future.
My wife and I ventured into the Grove for a short weekend trip prior to the Holiday. In the past, we stayed at the Ritz but with Marriott points not what they used to be in terms of redemption, we settled for the Courtyard around the corner. They weren't able to guarantee an upgrade in advance even with my status and we wanted a room upgrade with balcony. However, when requested at check-in, the desk associate was able to put us in a nice Jr. Suite. It was a corner room and it had a nice long balcony. The entire room faced right over the water and had a fantastic view and was removed enough from the traffic, lower level noise. The room wasn't bad. The upside was a nice bed, great view and wonderful little balcony. It had a large desk right on the window as well. The downsides were that the Jr. Suite came with little to-no actual furniture. Most king rooms come with a couch, this one didn't. It was an accessible room so it had some unique features and I don't know if other Jr. Suites also had no furniture. Lastly, the TV was awfully small and located well away from the bed. The hotel has a $22/day fee for resort like things such as bottled water, two drinks at the bar, the pool, fitness, etc. It has a pool table and a few bikes with two-hour rentals. Location was really the best part as it's so walkable to all parts of the Grove. Easy access to a Fresh Market and CVS across the street. We did enjoy it, would stay here again but it wouldn't be our first option necessarily.…
Nice hotel within walking distance of marina. Recently renovated so rooms are clean and updated. Gym in basement, which is a missed opportunity given the great views of the higher floors. Staff was helpful. Rooms facing main road, lower floors are noisy.
Renovated hotel without restaurant and no breakfast . No restaurants by walking distance . Rooms seems to varies a lot at least for balconies . Fist room at first floor ( 5th) balcony good size but to north no sunshine at all . Then we paid +50$ ( one nigt) to room to south and view 14th . But the balcony was more like a french one meaning no room at the balcony , view was nice . Good beds. Worst for this hotel is NOISE . They are building next to hotel and there are awful loudspeakers besides the pool giving noise over construction. Do not try to relax by the pool or balcony facing south.
We stay in marriots often and the location is the only thing carrying this one. The service is poor and they clearly don't care bc I couldn't even provide feedback to a manager as they were no where to be found. Just trying to get service the first time on the 3rd day was ridiculous. I asked the front desk in the morning they said we were scheduled for that day anywhere between 9am-4pm and they couldn't tell us when. Fine. Then around 2pm I ran into the housekeeper that said we were next and never came back. Then I called the front desk to ask when they were coming and they left me on hold. Then the housekeeping staff came and impolitely asked me to leave the room. Which of course I was going to do but I had no idea they were coming. She was like "you have to leave" it took me all of 5 min to get my stuff. I asked in Spanish how much time approximately it would take and she wasn't able to even provide an estimate. I don't understand why it has to be so difficult. Most hotels do this often enough that it's not this unpleasant. I can't wait to leave here.…
A basic hotel with a pool and exercise room, but not much else. Hardly a resort that could warrant a resort fee. The Bar had limited hours and minimal offerings, plus a self serviced snack bar with coffee but not a restaurant. Available were some poorly maintained bicycles which are not worth riding. My “upgraded” king room had a bathroom approximately 5’x6’ with an 8” diameter tiny sink. We had housekeeping show up only 1 day out of four. The hotel has a giant construction site next door (within 100’) with jackhammering and other construction noise starting at 7:30 am 6 days per week. Any attempt to speak to a manager was fruitless as no one ever called back during the entire stay. The location is ok but there are many nearby hotels that should be so much better. I won’t be returning to this poorly run mediocre hotel.…
My family and I evacuated Bonita Springs due to hurricane Ian and we are so glad we stayed at this Marriott. Being here turned what could have been a horrible experience into a wonderful family vacation. The location is great, walkable to all that Coconut Grove has to offer, and you’re right next to Monty’s seaside restaurant which we love. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had adjoining rooms which were great for a family of four. The breakfast we ordered was delicious. You also get a free drink at the bar which is nice. Definitely valet the car. The staff in particular was extremely kind and accommodating especially with the kids. We will always remember our wonderful little excursion and the kids still talk about it. A sincere thank you to everyone who works there!
I have been going through to Marriott Hotels for more than 25 years. This is the first time that I ended with a backache, mattress was horrible. When I was checking in, the converge didn't allow us to wait outside in the car for couple of minutes. I paid $5.78 for an Advil
