I stayed at this hotel with my mom for one night before a cruise in November 2024. I selected this location as it had excellent reviews, a complimentary breakfast, and was close to the cruise port plus not far from the airport. We took Lyft from the airport and to the cruise port.
I booked ahead of time directly with Hilton (parent company), a non-refundable rate, and immediately submitted a price match. That was an utter fiasco that doesn’t reflect on the hotel directly, but I informed corporate that I would never book a Hilton brand again after their atrocious customer service (and I’m not a complainer!). With this non-refundable rate though, we were stuck.
I checked in through the app the day before and was only given the 15th and 16th floors to select a room on, so I did that. And then I later noticed my app indicating this was an Elite room, which I can only suspect was a complimentary upgrade likely due to the price match fiasco months earlier.
My digital key did work for the elevator, but not for the room. We arrived at 10:45pm so I went down to the front desk to get a real key, and was also given drink vouchers (for the bar that was closing in five minutes), additional complimentary bottled water, and additional snacks.
Back up to the room to find more snacks and water, bathrobes (but no slippers as stated), and a clean, functional room. We also were supposed to receive premium WiFi with this upgrade but no info on that either. The beds and pillow were comfortable, the snacks and water were appreciated (and came on the cruise with us for in-the-room munchies), and I liked the toiletries provided. They boasted about their eco-friendly building including low flow showerheads, and that was really the only disappointing part for me: I have very long, very thick hair and low flow showerheads (particularly when the shower head isn’t a want) are basically useless for my head.
The pool was closed, which we knew about ahead of time, though not when be booked ages ago, but we were there for such a short time it didn’t matter. We did partake in the free breakfast and that was great! The cheese omelets were fabulous for something so simple. We enjoyed the choice of apple cinnamon and vanilla waffles. Severa cereal choices, muffins, sausage, yogurts. We left full!
We were there less than 12 hours total but I was pleased. Would honestly probably have been happier with the price match for the standard room I had booked, but I won’t complain about an upgrade.
Yes, I would recommend this hotel to other people. Also be aware it’s kind of in the middle of the nightlife scene in Miami, which is great if that’s your thing! And relatively quiet if it’s not.

This is the best Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at - a great moderately-priced hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Our visit: We were professionally greeted and checked in, our room was ready upon arrival, room was clean, modern, well-appointed, and comfortable. In-room A/C was awesome and it was a pleasure to get out of the Miami heat into a (literally) cool room. The lobby offers a full bar with good, welcoming service with plenty of seating at the bar and throughout the area. Included breakfast buffet is typical Hampton Inn but larger - a good assortment of options. The location is terrific - restaurants right next door and around the corner.
This Hampton Inn was a great choice as a place to lay our heads before departing on a cruise. (-:

I booked this hotel for my husband and I the night before our cruise. It turned out to be a perfect spot. We took the MetroRail train from MIA to Brickell and the station was 0.1 mile from the hotel which was very convenient and only cost $2.50 pp. It took about 30 minutes to get from MIA to the hotel on the train. Lobby is on the 6th floor and check in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean with modern features. Bed was comfy. Big walk in shower. Great in room products including shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in dispensers. Elevators were busy and it was sometimes difficult to get one especially on the weekend morning with all the cruisers that stay here so get going early or plan ahead to wait for an elevator down on the day of your check out. We waited about 20 minutes for one on the morning of our cruise. Continental breakfast was included and was on par with other Hampton Inn breakfasts. There is a nice seating area and lobby bar. We were each given a ticket for a free welcome drink at the bar which included beer and wine. Pool/jacuzzi was also on level 6 outside by the bar with some loungers and an outdoor seating area. It was quite busy on the evening we were there. Service was overall good but we didn't require much interaction with the staff during our stay. My one complaint was loud music and traffic from the street that could be heard from our room but it died down by 11PM.
The Miami Metro Mover station is located near the train station 0.1 mile away and we took this to Bayside Park and back on the evening we were there. Very safe and convenient way to get around Downtown Miami if you don't have a car and don't want to spend big money on Uber/Lyft. It's also an easy walk to many shops and restaurants from this hotel.
The hotel offers a cruise shuttle for $8 pp (cash to driver on day of departure) to Port Miami. Just ask about it when checking in and they will book your reservation. It was a large coach bus and you'll have to choose a departure time. I'd recommend booking an early time as the traffic to the port can get quite busy causing delays. We booked the earliest spot and had no trouble getting a seat, but again would recommend planning ahead for elevator delays and such as the bus did fill up quickly. It took nearly an hour to get to our cruise terminal due to traffic. Overall the shuttle was fine and we didn't have any issues getting to the port.
Very pleased with this hotel as a pre-cruise option. Safe location with plenty to do and various transportation options. We will definitely consider this hotel again before our next cruise out of Miami!

Hampton-Inns are no Hiltons/Conrads, but more often than not they have a welcoming staff generous rooms, nice beds and are just reliable. But not this one. It does have a good location, in walking distance to shopping and dining. The check in was terrible. There were two (bald guy and younger lady), neither one of them was helping somebody or where they irritated by a family waiting eagerly to check in. Once they did carve time out of their busy schedule to accommodate us, the experience did not improve. No upgrade for diamonds as their top floors seem to be only available through higher rates (just like some Conrad's). Not even some water. The room (few seem to have any view at all) smelled as if the disinfectant has been applied in a thin layer across the room. There was some drilling noise filling the whole floor. When I asked the front desk, I learned that "they should be done in a couple of hours". No "sorry" and nothing suggested that he thought a couple of hours of noise could be something we didn't like. AC is insufficient if the sun hits your window. Due to their urban location, they seem to require some security at the garage entry. When my wife entered the elevator, two guys entered as well. When I hurried to make it to the same elevator, they left again after I entered ... I hope they just forgot something. But the whole hotel is so anonymous, that I would want my wife to stay here by herself. The breakfast is nice, they even have some cold cuts, but the breakfast area is as sad as the bar that never seems to open. The fact that they charge as much as the Hilton, seems to be only due to the location. There is nothing else in this hotel that puts it an inch above an average Hampton Inn.

Dear Hotelcritic999, We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience but as the majority of our reviews reflect, this is not the norm for our property. We pride ourselves in our customer service and if we fell short in regards to your stay, I do sincerely apologize. It is a bit contradictory to state our location is good and then criticize it a few paragraphs down as "urban" and "anonymous". We are definitely in the heart of our city in what is considered the financial district. Surrounded by mostly business establishments, offices, restaurants, shopping, and hotels. with major foot traffic mostly consisting of executives, professionals. and tourists, sufficient lighting at night as well as activity, most of those aspects, help our location be safe. Security presence at the garage entrance is an added touch to ensure our guests feel secure as well as their vehicles and other property. As for our bar, It is used for seating during breakfast and opens everyday from 5pm - 11pm with happy hour being from 5pm - 7pm. At which, guests can redeem a complimentary welcome drink voucher they receive upon check-in. The distinguished brands you mentioned all have their own standards, whereas our room features and amenities are certainly within the Hampton Inn standard with the occasional difference such as most Hampton Inns dont have a bar at all, complimentary drink vouchers, or cold cuts as part of their breakfast spread. We certainly arent your usual Hampton Inn. Thank you for your comments and a chance to educate other travelers on our property and we wish you the best of luck on your travels. Our stay at this property, while not extraordinary, offered a satisfactory experience. Despite our initial excitement fueled by the property's high rating and numerous positive reviews, our overall impression leaned towards the average - dare I say it seems overhyped?
Upon check-in, we encountered a trainee handling our registration. Although he was friendly, his learning curve seemed to cause some tension among his colleagues, who were focusing on other guests. It was evident that he was eager to excel and comprehend their processes, and we felt bad for the guy that he seemed subjected to the "trial by fire" method of training.
The room and bathroom, reminiscent of the standard Hampton Inn setup, were clean and met our basic needs. However, the public areas of the hotel hinted at a slightly dated ambiance.
The morning breakfast scene was very busy with families, with the staff working diligently to keep up with the demand. The evening bar, while present, offered a somewhat limited selection.
One undeniable highlight of this hotel is its prime location in Brickell. Despite the property's imperfections, its unbeatable locale compensates for any shortcomings. The hotel's proximity to local attractions and the vibrant atmosphere of Brickell makes it a compelling choice. The hotel's location in Brickell ultimately outweighs its minor drawbacks, and we would consider staying here again for the unparalleled convenience it offers.

The front desk staff was so helpful and genuinely wanted your stay to be enjoyable! The room was very clean and the shower was awesome. Convenient to many many restaurants. Equally important is they had a shuttle available to the cruise terminal for only $8 a person. And to top it all off, employee LUZ, in the big beautiful Breakfast area, spoiled us with the biggest selection of food to start our day. Top-notch!

I am super glad that I chose this Hilton type hotel. It was in a nice area and close to the train station. Our room was spacious and decent view of the pool. Staff was kind except one that seemed a bit annoyed, but I ignored it. The parking was good once you know where to go and how to enter, lol. There are no restaurants in house except a bar at the lobby level, but there are many restaurants outside by the hotel or others around. The shampoo and conditioner by Zero were not by Zero and noticed public areas that is was not Zero brand. The hotel needs to be careful because some people can have allergic reactions thinking it is the brand, and it may not be. Just a suggestion. The iron board was broken, and it was taped with electrical tape. Other than that, I love this place.

This hotel really is everything guests say it is. I only had 1 minor disappointment, which I will mention later.. 1. Arrived on a red eye from California around 9am, and they got us into a room right away without any uncharges!! This gesture here has me a loyal fan. After we dropped off the luggage, we headed down for breakfast. 2. Included breakfast. Anyone complaining about this complimentary breakfast just can not be satisfied. The waffle station is to die for! Egg dishes, sausage, or bacon , hot oatmeal, cold cereal, muffins , juice , coffee ,etc etc. Ate the morning of check-in and again on check out. 3. Location- walking distance to my favorite Latin Cafe as well as many other restaurants and bars as well as a CVS. 4. Room - was clean, comfortable, with a nice size TV, spacious bathroom, and the AC got the room icy cold 5. We didn't use the contracted port shuttle service as my gf ordered an Uber, which was about $22 for an Uber XL. 6. My only disappointment was the voucher for the free drink at the bar. The bar was closed an hour early due to the bar tender going home sick. The next day, the clerk let us select a soft drink or bottled water from the snack bar, so it was an excellent service recovery! Highly highly recommend this hotel for families, friends, and even couples trips. It is reasonably priced, and while not Miami style swanky It does not feel like a budget hotel at all. I am even contemplating staying here again for an upcoming Ft Lauderdale cruise.

The hotel itself has all your basic needs. It was fairly quiet and close to good food , pharmacies and a small grocery store. The staff was very friendly. Check-in was simple and professional. A small "thank you bag" included some water and treats. The breakfast buffet was clean and maintained frequently. Luz was one staff member there and we found her to be helpful, friendly and genuine. We would choose this location again being so close to the cruise port, which also arranged for very reasonable shuttle service.

We had a great stay at the hotel just before the new year. The room was immaculately clean, comfortable and the AC was up to its task (efficient, quiet enough, and it even had an option to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius). A very minor issue when we arrived was that the shower gel dispenser was empty, but when I mentioned this for the second time it was remedied by the following night. Keyless access was a revelation as I had not used that before and it felt like magic to just walk up from the Uber/Lyft to the room. I also appreciated the fridge, the microwave, and the youtube option on the TV.
Breakfast was very good by HI standards. All the food items were fresh and even the orange juice tasted like real oranges (something which can’t be taken for granted this year). I especially liked the sausages and mustard on offer. The high speed toaster too was appreciated after a lot of queuing at other hotels to get toast or bagels in the morning.
The free airtrain, Miami Peoplemover, has a station just at the end of the block and offers access to most sites we visited during our stay (Frost science center, Bayfront Park, etc.). The trains were experiencing some technical difficulties during our stay, but for the most part the service was dependable. The free trolley busses also run from the station, but these appear to be less dependable and without AC. For food shopping the nearby Publix is hard to beat.
We were looking forward to trying to rooftop pool but this was unfortunately closed off waiting inspection. The view from the pool area was nice and the exercise room well stocked.
All in all we would definitely stay here again.

There was a shuttle available from hotel to Port that you had to sign up for ahead of time. I think it was around $8 per person however we ended up taking an Uber instead that was about $22
No shuttle to and from airport that I am aware of
There are more places to choose from in the Miami area.
