We booked the Aloft for our cruise out of Miami. Their website when me originally booked said they would do a shuttle service to the port. But when our group called to confirm the time, they said they no longer provided service. We explained that was the exact reason we booked with them. So, they said they would honor it, and get us a shuttle. The night before we verified again that we had 9am transportation. They acted like we were mistaken. But they said again, they would do it. The morning of our cruise, no shuttle. No driver. The front desk team didn't seem to care. Finally we got them to call us some taxies. That we had to pay for more $$. Also we were upgraded into the suites portion of the hotel property. Those rooms are drab. And beware, the bathroom has NO counter space. I will not recommend this hotel.

Hot water is a basic expectation. Had a bad stay overnight at this property. I stay at Marriott properties frequently (Ambassador level Bonvoy) and this one is NOT recommended. Rarely do I encounter any issues at Marriott properties and if I do they are handled promptly and cordially. That was not the case today. Turned on shower at 8 am. There is a sign that says to let water run to get hot. I did. After 5 minutes, it was still lukewarm. I took a quick albeit very cool shower. Upon checking out I reported the issue. My business partner who was on a different floor had already reported the same issue. I asked to have a manager call me. Instead I got an email from an unidentified employee saying they checked the room and there was “no issue”. Here’s their exact response. There’s plenty of other hotels nearby. I suggest choosing any of them. “We understand you came down and reported it in the morning, however, the water is functional. Maintenance tested the handle in both directions left and right, but they still concluded the water works. Our operations manager investigated the rooms personally, and concluded the hot water works perfectly fine. After checking out, of course it would be too late to send someone when you already left the room, however, if the issue would've been brought to the front desk at the time it happened, anyone in the building who was available would be more than happy to pass by and take a look so it wouldn't be any more an inconvenience. Your partner also came down and reported the issue, but only after he was done using the room. As for resetting the boiler, our talents informed during the check-out that maintenance was conducted days ago and no major issues have risen after that. There were no opportunities for resolution in this case, so unfortunately, there are no further actions to be made. Kind Regards, Aloft Hotels General Information”

Our experience did not match the negative reviews we read prior to staying. Staff is fantastic and made the stay enjoyable. Rooms are large and well equipped. There are not a lot of menu options but they are all excellent. The location, while not waterfront, is within walking distance to great shopping and dining.

The hotel was good, however, I had bad experiences trying to find transport to different places. I ordered a cab because this is what I always use, however, they insisted and pressured me to get a black car. The price was outrageous. No matter how much I insisted that I wanted the yellow cab they didn't call one for me.

Don’t do it. Musty. Moldy. Toilet ran all night. The AC was extremely loud. I made the mistake thinking I’d save some money at this hotel when I would have paid an additional 100.00 for clean and polished. The shower curtain was really pathetic. Barely hanging on and needed to be replaced 6 months ago.

I had been here for a stay on a business trip just a few months back in March of 2023. This stay had convinced me actually that I wanted to stay again on a trip last weekend with my daughter on our annual daddy-daughter back to school shopping trip (July 2023), and I was disappointed. In March when there on business there was a decent warm breakfast each morning that was well stocked for what it was. There was nothing this past visit and the room that they set it up in was constantly half blocked off to even enter by a line control type barrier. Also, on the previous trip the hotel advertises this happy hour of sorts in the lobby where there are some small bites and a little gathering that is shown based on the posters in the elevators to run from 4pm to 11pm I believe. In March, it was a nice added touch. This trip it was non-existent despite the signs still being posted advertising it. Also, despite no smoking signs throughout the floors, there was a very strong smell of marijuana in the elevators and at least the hallway of the floor we stayed on - 8th floor. This all in addition to some hassles at check-in because of a reservation confusion that I had called about weeks ahead and was assured was not an issue, but was when I checked in. Because of one good experience and a great location for this hotel, I am not saying I would not stay here again, but I will look into other places when I come to Miami again.

A very informal hotel which is definitely overpriced for the services. Location is great and close to the main street in Brickell where you find a lot of restaurants and shops. Brickell city center is just 5 minutes walk and Little Havana is  pretty close as well. Breakfast was really sad and we were there 3 nights. Tried 3 different times btw 6.30 and 9.30 and at all times most of the dishes were empty and had to wait for them or ask to be replenished. Most items ...not a great variety were hardly topped up. Please avoid a room and breakfast package unless you are on work and ok with a quick bite. Reception staff are least helpful and need a bit of training in hospitality. Would not stay here again and many better options nearby.

This is a basic hotel with no frills. The place and amenities are dated except for the lobby which is deceptive and offers no clue to what lies beneath. I opted for the superior room with a balcony and the room was large with a very tiny bath. Service is non existent and one has to fend for oneself. The breakfast they offer is frugal and on each of the three days that I ate here during different times, there were lots of people waiting for the food to be replenished. The offering is basic, indifferent and leaves us irritated. I complained to the front office gentleman ( not in the hotel attire for some reason) and he acted as though it was none of his business. Location is not bad. House keeping was not up to the mark and I found nails and other objects lying uncleaned in the balcony. Please avoid this place.

We chose this hotel based on location and price. To our delight, the hotel was in walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The hotel was very clean and quiet and service was friendly. We appreciated the lobby and “porch” space, as well as bar and breakfast options. I would gladly stay again!
