Located in the heart of the city, Hyatt Regency Miami often receives compliments for its cleanliness and the friendliness of its staff, even though some guests have mentioned slower service. While the prime location near attractions and dining is a highlight, visitors frequently find the amenities dated and the gym and dining options below expectations. Noise from the bustling city environment can be an issue, and many have commented on the rooms needing a refresh. The value proposition of the hotel has been called into question due to overpriced services.

I have stayed at this hotel over 5 times last year and for a hotel of this statue it needs to work on it room service menu as the main courses are few and need to have more selection. Also if im staying in the hotel please give me real cutlery not plastic ones that break or cannot cut the steak. Which make me call down again or in this case i used my own multi tool.

This hotel is great physically and from a location standpoint. It's clean and pleasing aesthetically, and the staff is friendly, however the housekeeping team and food service team left much to be desired.

We requested daily housekeeping, and while they showed up every day, their performance was substandard. They did not restock several bottles of amenities, only gave us fresh towels twice in two days, and even though we requested they only stock us with regular coffee and not decaf, they continually stocked our room with nothing but decaf. It felt like they were playing a joke on us.

The Riverview Marketplace was VERY understaffed, undertrained, and just generally slow. Long lines built up not so much because the staff was busy, but mores because it appeared they didn't know what they were doing. I received incorrect food and/or bills at least twice from them and had to walk them thru my order multiple times. The most complex thing I ordered was two black coffees, a plain bagel and a yogurt parfait.

Lastly, my final gripe was their internet. I'm a WOH Discoverist Member which means I'm supposed to have access to premium internet as a benefit of that tier status. There was only one option for internet at this hotel and it wasn't great. Got kicked off multiple times and it and the room's Chromecast just flat out gave up our last two days we were there. The front desk said they'd send someone up from engineering to help, but after several hours of waiting and using my phone as a hotspot, I gave up and went to bed.

Other than that, the location, the cleanliness, the facilities and the front desk were fantastic. I voiced a few of my complaints to them and they tried to help out, but the execution from the support staff just really wasn't there. I'd still probably stay here again, but I'd look for deals elsewhere before I do.

For context, I stay about 60 night/year in hotels, ranging from Fairfields to 5* hotels such as St. Regis, Ritz, etc. I've stayed at this hotel before too. Bottom line: hotel is in poor condition and needs to be gutted and redone, top to bottom.

Pros:
1. During checkin, there was an issue in that I did not get the room I was supposed to. Front Desk was unhelpful saying that all the rooms of that type were booked. The manager had sent me a text prior to checkin and said to contact him via text if there was an issue. So I did. Jennifer from the manager's office called me immediately and fixed the problem and actually upgraded my room.
2. The room was clean, and I like that they don't use the crummy KenetMD toiletries that every other Hyatt uses.
3. Despite being in downtown, the room was relatively quiet, and there was a white noise machine in the room if you needed it.
4. Wifi worked well in the room.

Cons:
1. Hotel is in poor condition: paint peeling, window tint peeling, unusable balconies, low popcorn ceilings, dated finishes, dim lighting in the shower, the bathroom sink is in the room (there is a partition, but no wall or door), bathroom hardware is from the early 80s (although, good water pressure)
2. Expensive. My suite (although not a true suite because there was no separating wall between the sitting area and the bed) was $370/night.

There are a lot of other newer hotels in downtown that I will be looking into for my next trip to Miami.

I am a Hyatt member and every-time is a surprise. This hotel is outstanding and surpassed my expectations. The location is basically in Downtown and everything is at walking distance, Brickell and Downtown are at 2 minutes walking, the cleaning is awesome you feel absolutely secure. The staff is very nice and helpful in everything you need. The breakfast has a vide range of choice and it is cooked in realtime nothing already prepared or in bag as some hotel is offering. Absolutely the best choice in Miami Downtown

The hotel rooms are too old. As I entered the room there was a noise of AC, probably this AC was 20 years old model, very disturbing. The fridge was not working properly, all the ice melted and the floor was all wet, I complained and they said someone will come and fix it but no one came for the whole night. I figured out myself that they unplugged the fridge, seriously 😳!!

The coffee cup that was provided there was paper made and room service didn’t change the cup the next day. I was in hurry and cleaned them on my own. The service staff doesn’t understand English at all. No toothpaste, no toothbrush, no slippers were provided.

Hyatt is a big brand so I paid such a huge amount for it but it ruined our experience.

Our room was very nice. Hotel lobby is very nice. Valets out front are terrible - one totally ignored my husband and actually walked away when he asked for directions to the self parking. Husband complained to manager, who said he would give a credit our room, but he never did. Valets also tried to put us in a shuttle to the port at $20 per person instead of the taxi we asked for.
We were woken in the middle of the night when people in the neighboring room seemed to be having a screaming match. It was scary but hotel security came and took care of it ASAP, so that was great.

I have to say that I was able to get a last minute reservation here while all of Miami is packed right now, so that’s a good thing since our prior reservation was canceled in another hotel and it was almost midnight.
That being said, my husband paid over $300 for a standard room. Balcony doors are sealed, toilet water is constantly running and the room is dim and small. It’s in need of update, dark lights, old ceilings, ....this is more of a $120 a night but due to the location and time of year, their prices double. Not sure about staff since it was midnight when we arrived and went straight to the room.
It is clean, that’s all I can say.

Meeting rooms are varied in size and adequately appropriated for different size groups. They were a bit cold but this was adjusted. Always love it when I can 'take the elevator to work'. Room accommodations were very comfortable and Whole Foods was directly across the street to buy q quick lunch and provisions for your room which is equipped with a refrigerator.

Back at this Hyatt since my last visit in 2019.
Once again after more than 20 years staying at this Hyatt I returned and everything was perfect and the Hotel was updated in so many areas.
Excepcional Staff , doorman, parking guys and special mention to Ft Desk to Mario Kongsanrivera and Natasha Popoter that take care of all what we need.
I booked the Hotel since October 15 TH and we have an inconvenient so we couldn’t be in time , I call on October 16TH at 6 AM and the reservation office was closed, and who take my call make the arrangements to check in on the 16TH one day later very so helpful.
The Hotel looks spotless clean , lobby completely renovated plenty of light very comfortable with lot of space to sit and plugs for computers and phones charger .
There’s also a market where you have lot of snacks coffee drinks etc that’s very convenient and there’s a casual restaurant too at night .
The room was a Pano with amazing views of the Miami River it’s all glass so you have view even from your bed.
Mini fridge coffee with capsules and a living area so comfortable , big closer and complete and separate bathroom .
Housekeeping daily, fresh towels and you see people cleaning all day in all areas . Nice pool good size for being at downtown Miami also with umbrellas chairs and lot of towels .
Despite of people leaving bad reviews because the hotel is really clean and they take special care for Covid, I visit other rooms the standard and they all are spotless clean .
Nothing to complain . The best location surrounded by lot of restaurants, nice walking or running area with amazing views at Brickell , very safe even if you want to walk at night they are lot of people walking and training .
Banks , shoppings all with walking distance from the hotel .
Special thanks to Antonio , Manny , Michael, Fernando .
I highly recommended this Hyatt if you are looking for a Brickell hotel .
My place at Miami !!!

I stayed here for 3 nights late December booked a king suite I normally don’t do reviews but I think needs must .

This hotel is basically a transit hotel for cruise/ transit and people passing through .

The hotel lobby is is no better than a airport lounge soulless not very comfortable, you have a choice for food buffet restaurant for breakfast didn’t use it after speaking with someone who had .

Dinner can be had in 1 bar/ restaurant totally uninviting and not good .

The room was a good size clean but once again lacking in warmth decorated in battleship grey .
The shower was antiquated with a stupid shower curtain, the bath ridiculously small .

I regretted my stay ,my congratulations to the photographer who took the pictures they use they must have been taken a long time ago I won’t mention the pool enough said .

This hotel is surrounded by 4/5 star hotels do yourself a favour stay in one of them give this place a swerve.
