I was in Miami on a business trip and stayed at the Courtyard. It is in a very good location. There were a number of restaurants in the area and it is only 1 block from the Knight Center station for the metro mover. I was able to take the train from Miami International to the Government Center stop ($2.25) and then transfer to the free Metro Mover (this would have been harder if I had a lot of luggage or small children).
The hotel was clean and check in was quick. The king room was on the 10th floor and was great. The room had a coffee maker and frig.
There is a Starbuck's on the ground floor with some breakfast selections.
I opted to walk to The Egg Spot. It is on 1st Street so just a block and a half away. It opens at 7am. I would recommend this place for breakfast.
I would definitely stay at the Courtyard again.

Our family of 8 booked the Courtyard Brickell for lodging the night before a cruise. We were warmly greeted by the on duty Manager (Frank) and he worked hard to find us adjoining rooms to expedite our family activities and communication. He also provided several local tips on dining, points of interest we could walk or Uber to quickly, and outlined the pros and cons of various transport plans to the port for the cruise. Everyone we interacted with at the hotel was friendly and had customer service front of mind. The hotel had notified us of pool maintenance that would keep the kids from swimming-the “heads up” before hand helped us set expectations and find some other activities for the grandkids. Since we had a long delay between our disembarkation from the cruise and our flight home, we asked if we could return to the hotel and store our luggage there for several hours and go to lunch and the art museum “We would be glad to do that for you” said Emily and we showed our receipt from our stay a week before and they held our luggage until we returned and headed to the airport. I’ve stayed at many Courtyards through the years and this one is among the best in terms of customer service. The location is excellent for cruises, exploring downtown Miami, and in fairly close proximity to other fun venues (e.g., South Beach). We will surely stay here again when our travels take us to Miami!

Since I am an Elite member, I was offered a room on the top floor with a view and a free continental breakfast. Very helpful staff. They provide a limo service(for a small charge) to the Port of Miami for those on a cruise.

My husband and I checked in after a long flight and were warmly greeted. We had planned to stay here the night before a cruise vacation and had made the reservation several months ago. I had even successfully redeemed a "Suite Night" award for the first time! The room was spacious and very comfortable with an awesome view of the city lights. The bed was great and everything was clean. We slept well. In addition, we like to use public transportation on "city" trips and discovered this location was very easy to reach from the airport with minimal walking. A plus! The staff suggested a great local restaurant. After dinner, upon checking my email, I discovered that our cruise had been cancelled just a few hours prior. This of course was a major disappointment to us. I called Daniella at the front desk. She was compassionate, positive and helpful. She made several suggestions of options available to us with many alternative city attractions to visit, if we decided to stay a few days. Daniella also extended a complimentary breakfast voucher for the morning and informed me of an extended check out time available to us. This was important, providing time for making any return flight arrangement. We did decide to return home. In the morning we ate at the Bistro for a very nice breakfast of our choice. We spent the next several hours searching for a return flight grateful for the extra time. This customer service was the best. Now I'll always remember this trip not because of the disappointment of a canceled cruise, but because of this great customer service shown. We're looking forward to a return trip sometime in the future.

Stayed at this property for a business trip, traveling with multiple colleagues. For what it is, the hotel does its job. I feel this hotel would be excellent for a quick pre/post cruise hotel.

My group's biggest knock of the hotel was the bathrooms. While the hotel rooms all felt rather spacious (more so than other standard hotel rooms), the bathrooms were strangely small. I also felt that the condition of the bathroom was rather poor. Dated, and considerable wear and tear. I'd urge the hotel's ownership to look at refreshing this aspect of their hotel to be more competitive in the Brickell market.

The best thing about this hotel is the front office staff. The entire team was spectacular. With the job market being as tight as it is - especially in the service industry - I would hope the hotel's management is taking steps to ensure good people are retained. The front desk team at this hotel really made the experience memorable, making up for the below-average room product.

I booked this hotel for a business trip, but had to cancel due to unforeseen scheduling. Beware that this hotel will not refund your prepaid reservation if you need to cancel. I disputed the charge on my credit card and hotel management still refused to refund my $1000+ prepaid reservation. All management and employees that I spoke to on the phone were equally rude and unaccommodating.

The beds are full size, not queen. The rooms are not serviced daily, not even a knock to see if you want coffee or trash pick up. Parking is an astronomical $43 a day, breakfast was not included and no water was offered despite gold member status. The most annoying thing was the elevators. Both were broken down during our stay and the entire hotel was using one service elevator. It was too cold for the pool but we were not informed at any point during our booking that the pool is also under construction. Overall, we stay here for the location. This is our second time and we go to MIA often. It's a great location but be forewarned that the homeless situation is heavy immediately outside of the hotel.

Stayed here on business right before the COVID-19 shutdown. As a Marriott Platinum member I was “upgraded” to a ground floor unit next to the freeway on-ramp. It was a very noisy room adjacent to the large HVAC unit. I asked for a change but nothing was available. Also, I had to contact the hotel after my trip to receive the bonus points I was owed based on my stay. It was nice enough, and close to everything I needed for work. The breakfast was good too. Typical business hotel.

Courtyard Brickell is a very good hotel in a busy area. The lobby is small but the Bistro/bar area is very spacious. It is a high rise so the higher floors are farther away from the traffic noise. We rode the Metro rail Orange line from the airport to the Government Center and then switched to the Omni Loop and got off at the Knight Center. The hotel is in the same block behind the center. The Omni loop is also only a few stops ride to Bayside. Several restaurants are close by. We could see the cruise ships from our window on the eleventh floor so very convenient to the cruise port.

I'm not sure if the loud music was coming from the street or from the area around the pool. If it was outside, then it isn't the hotel's fault. But the M&M's left on the floor from the previous guest were sort of off-putting. And the fact that the bathroom door would not close all the way was sort of annoying. We had to keep a foot against the door or wedge a piece of cardboard under it. But the lobby was great and having the Starbucks was OK, although Starbucks is WAY overpriced and I'd prefer Marriott's own service there.
