Please note that this hotel is now called the Four Palms. We stayed for three nights in an oceanfront king room with balcony. We mostly had a really good stay. I gave four stars because you could tell they are still upgrading this property and making some facelift type changes, but generally everything was good.

Best features: walkability to mid-beach shops and restaurants, pool area with plenty of sunny and shady seats, beach area with plenty of chairs, good food onsite. Comfortable bed, quiet enough, great view from the room, HOT SHOWER! The restaurant serves food and cocktails at the indoor restaurant (really pretty), out on the pool deck, and to rooms. We were surprised by how good the food was when we had lunch there on the last day.

Worst features: our room could have used some cosmetic changes but it appears that they are working on these changes. An in-room microwave and fridge would have made things better as well. Some privacy on the balcony would also improve the room.

Overall I would recommend this hotel. It has everything you need to spend some time at the beach. It's a quick ride (uber, lyft, cab) to the activity of south beach, so you kind of get the best of both worlds because many of the south beach boutique hotels aren't on the beach and/or don't have a pool.

We stayed at the Miami Beach Radisson 5 days and had a wonderful time. The hotel has a large beautiful lobby area upon arrival. Our check in was easy and we had a ocean view room with balcony area .Those rooms are updated and have a mini fridge and sink area. The bathroom is on the small size Our shower did not drain properly but they sent someone to fix it. The bed wasn't super soft but comfortable. I slept well each night. Our room was cleaned daily. The beach area is clean and there is no issue getting chairs or umbrella. The busiest day the guys in the chair shack set 2 up for us ocean front. We did not spend time at the pool but looks good for families. The resort next door has very loud music on the weekend. The Radisson is quiet and clean. Breakfast was the only meals we ate there but portions are huge and fresh, really delicious eggs benedict. Gracia who was our server each day is fantastic! There are many great resteraunts within walking distance. I wish I would have known about parking situation. You must pay 42$ a day for parking garage across street as there is no hotel parking. You are able to have valet retrieve car as many times as you like a day but again I was not expecting that. Web site says valet available so I did not realize there was no designated parking for the hotel. We only used car to and from airport and went exploring one day so next time I would not rent a car as we did not really need it. Also there is a car rental location across street from hotel. There are city bike rental locations every few blocks. We rented almost every day and it was a great and fun way to see area. You can ride for miles up and down boardwalk through marina south all the way to north beach. No sitting in traffic or trying to find parking also the city trolly system is free. That was a great surprise after visiting ocean drive area. You also receive 2 drink tickets for soft drinks or sangria a day in the resort fee for chairs and umbrella. Upon check out there was a couple charges that should not have been added but they were removed and returned the next day. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the Miami beach area. We will return.

We are currently staying here and the only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the staff & location. Several of the amenities listed on the hotel website are unavailable. Yes, the pool is open, rooms have been renovated, and you get 2 free beach chairs, 2 drinks & an umbrella daily. There’s no coffee shop on site, no valet parking, and no poolside dining. Access to the “boardwalk” was fenced off. The on-site restaurant is only open for breakfast so you have to walk to another hotel or order door dash if you don’t want to leave the property for lunch. Since not all rooms are renovated yet, this made for smaller numbers (even during “spring break”) so social distancing was achievable. The gift shop wasn’t open for the first 2 days of our stay so thankfully I could get some basics from 7 Eleven via Door Dash. Overall the property is quiet, family friendly, and has great beach access. The staff have been incredibly nice and accommodating. There were no linens in the room to make up the sofa bed, but they were delivered promptly. I think they’re trying to have a nice place, and I think once all the renovations are done it will be, but I was severely disappointed that the amenities advertised on the website weren’t available.

Thank you for the four stars. There’s been more than a few changes since the pandemic and your last stay. We still don’t have a “coffee shop” …we have four food outlets and a world class Chef. About “coffee” we serve Lavazza coffee. If you haven’t had Lavazza, you might want to try it. Having done so, please refrain from slapping your barista. It’s considered understandable but impolite all the same. We still don’t leave our sofa beds made-up with linen prior to arrival. We believe that the bedding is best freshly made. The amenities we now boast (and we do boast) are too numerous to mention. Let’s just say, “there’s a lot to unpack”. Come back soon. We are soooo ready and so are you.

This is a really nice hotel and well located on the beach. We had a very nice stay with a comfortable room for the five of us. Enrique, at the concierge desk, was especially helpful in recommending restaurants, places to park, and places to visit. He went far out of his way to help us, just for the sake of being kind. He is a great asset to this property.

This hotel is secluded half a block off 6 lane 36th Avenue. It is a quiet tranquil site. The hotel is close to restaurants, shopping, banking, pharmacy, etc. I found the hotel very clean, and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful, making guests feel appreciated. The breakfast bar has something for everyone, and the staff and chef keep the food stocked and tables and counters clean. The hotel breakfast buffet is run like a restaurant with servers. Annia Medina, Vanessa, and Elieser are wonderful hosts. At night the bartender is great with drinks, hot sandwiches and other simple meals. High marks for Addison on the front desk, also. Great place to stay.

First, I enjoy beach front hotels. Second, great location, unobstructed ocean views with easy access to the beach and balconies. The hotel charges a resort fee that includes beach chairs and welcome drinks. We did not have a car.

Pool was nice. We rented city bikes and were able to stroll up and down SOBE.

The room was very spacious with modern beach décor. The beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was nice, both a tub and shower, recent renovation. I love having a view and balcony. Enjoying the sunrise in the balcony with my coffee was great. Wifi was ok, housekeeping was also ok

Easy access to the beach is also a plus. The pool was also nice.

We had breakfast and we were satisfied with the quality.

Our interactions at check in were really pleasant and professional.

Last, this hotel is at our price range, as you can imagine during peak spring break, some hotels charge eye watering prices. The Radisson offers a sweet spot of value for price paid.

In summary I recommend due to great location and views, easy beach access, and renovated spacious rooms

Stayed here for a week and it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff here is excellent. You can tell the management trains them well and everyone from the front desk clerk that checked us in, to the waitstaff in the restaurant and housekeepers were very friendly and first class. They would all say hello when we passed by and actually seemed like they all enjoyed working here. We had an ocean view room on the 9th floor and the view was spectacular. The lobby was decorated for the Holidays, and it looked really nice. This hotel was always very clean, the pool was clean, and our room was well cleaned by housekeeping. We ate breakfast every morning in the restaurant, and I can say that it was all freshly prepared and was a real treat to eat there. The waitstaff was outstanding. We ate lunch at the pool deck and the Mahi sandwich was amazing. This hotel is in a great location in Middle Beach so you can visit South Beach and North Beach. We didn't have a car and took an Uber from Miami airport and we just walked everywhere or took the free trolley. There's a CVS one block away and a small cafe with a grocery store right next to the CVS. You can buy your drinks and snacks there. They also make great sandwiches. It's just a few steps to the beach and the boardwalk is directly behind the hotel. Collins Street is really busy, and the cars go really fast, so you have to be careful crossing the street. Also, you need to watch as you're walking on the boardwalk as there are bikers that feel the need to go super-fast and electric bikes (that aren't supposed to be ridden on the boardwalk) that whiz past you as well. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but we just didn't get the negative reviews left for this hotel since we had such a great 7-night stay. I would totally recommend this hotel and if we come back to Miami Beach would for sure stay here again. It was a real pleasure to stay here.

This place was not my favorite radisson property that I’ve visited but it wasn’t as bad as some of these reviews make it out to be. They are renovating so there are definitely some much needed kinks to work out but it’s not the end of the world. We could never figure out where to get a beach chair (part of the resort fee) and staff insisted that this was a hotel and not a resort as if they had no idea what we were talking about—this was eventually remedied on the last day of our stay. The free sangria was decent and the beach is right out the back. Parking is paid parking and there’s not a discount for staying here. The only reason I mentioned that is the people working at the parking garage asked if we were staying at the holiday inn because they get a discount for having to park in the garage so that was disappointing that we did not. The security guard and 2 bar tenders were the friendliest people on the team and are amazing at going above and beyond. The hotel is not far from everything but fair warning it’s not easily walkable to the main areas like ocean drive etc. Overall we will likely be back to stay here and hopefully the few last kinks will be worked out soon.

Thank you for your honest review. I won’t say that we’ve worked out all the “kinks” …. just most of them. We don’t own the garage across the street and so that’s still “a thing” but our beach? Oh, the beach! (So nice). The world class Chef makes a difference too. Oh, the food! (So good). A multi-million dollar renovation doesn't hurt either. Come back soon. If we weren’t your favorite, we will be.

Very friendly staff, excellent room, well located.
The hotel swimming pool is separated from the beach only by a bicycle path and umbrella and chairs are provided, as well as two complimentary drinks.
Breakfast is a la carte and the choices are very good.
Valet parking is available at $42.80 per day with unlimited car retrievals.

This hotel is just okay....it is disconnected though on so many levels. First of all, the WiFi signal is horrible throughout the property. Room TV signal just as worse. The food in the restaurant was “just ok”. The front desk staff were not as helpful NOR professional as I thought they should be as there are numerous hotels to choose from and the fact that they were my last choice should of been motivation to provide good customer service but that didn’t happen. The rooms were nicely renovated however; dirty stained sheets (I actually brought my own every time I travel because they are always nasty). Bathtub stopper broken could only shower.

So overall I give it 2 stars due to the fact that the 3 biggest pet peeves for me: customer service, WiFi access, and access to convenient good food were the downfalls for me.

Will I return in the future? Maybe due to location and price ! This hotel has true potential but definitely needs a lot of work to bring it up to customer service standards .

Do they have blow dryer and flat irons in the rooms?
Answer from LydiaAnnC
Denver, Colorado12 contributions11 helpful votes
Yes they have blow dryers and flat irons. If you have other hotel options in the area, suggest you choose them. The hotel has very limited rooms available due to many floors under construction. If you have any issue with your room, such as you are on the Soho Beach side and can’t sleep with the loud music vibrating the walls most of the night, or if something doesn’t work in your room, you are probably out of luck to get a different room. Limited staff is available so the kitchen closes at odd hours for pool service. You are far from any other restaurants on the beach I’d you can’t order from your hotel.
