Basic rooms but more than okay for the price you pay at a location central in Miami Beach. The staff makes the difference, very nice spanish/english speaking people who are helpfull and giving you all the information for "Miami newcomers". Water and juice are complemantary, what You do not find often in this price level
A gem in a busy town, the welcome was great, the room extremely comfortable the breakfast wasn't a success to compliment the hotel. Bed very comfortable but pillow was NOT!! No restaurant inside hotel, just few tables outside hotel entrance to eat with take away crockeries. Jonathan was a very fab person, willing to help in any issues, a real sparkling personality of human being!!! Great for the establishment. Will certainly go back if in town for comfort and central position. Lots of restaurants nearby with varied cousins and price.
We stayed at the Fashion Boutique Hotel from November 19th to November 21st. The Hotel is small, but clean. There are only 2 floors. We had to carry our suitcase up to the second floor (not really an issue). Our original room was a king-sized bed. The room was big enough, clean, and bright. There were a few issues: 1) The air conditioning didn't work 2) The smoke detector wasn't working, and 'beeped' every 10 seconds 3) The wifi wouldn't reach our room I called to the front desk a few times, but the gentleman working there didn't answer. I went to go see him, and told him I was calling him, but he shrugged, and said the phone didn't ring. He seemed very unconcerned about missing a phone call. For the air conditioner, he told me there was nothing he could do. For the smoke detector, he told me to just unplug it from the ceiling (seriously), and for the wifi, he just told me that it was 'unfortunate'. He did offer to switch rooms for us. We took him up on the offer. The second room was two double beds. He said he had no more rooms with king sized beds, which was sort of disappointing, but at least it had air conditioning, wifi, and a working smoke detector. All in all, the hotel was nice enough, but I wouldn't go in with high expectations. …
No elevator. You have to lug your baggage up stairs.. How does this place exist without being ADA compliant? Only one little trash can in the entire room. Teeny tiny room. No complimentary breakfast and you have to pay $3 for a Nepresso.pod if you want coffee. Staff didn't acknowledge us when we came in from dinner. Oh, and my daughter saw TWO rats running around on the patio when she went out for a smoke. I do not recommend.
On our way back from a trip to Portugal, we decided to stay in South Beach for a night to see some friends. We're very familiar with the city and hotels, as we used to live there. We chose Fashion Boutique Hotel for two reasons: location and price. All we needed was a bed and a shower and it served its purposes. The rooms are a little kitsch but it's a pretty Art Deco building with a small courtyard in front of the entrance. The rooms don't have coffee pots and they charge $3 for a pod to use their machine in the lobby. I went around the corner to the Cuban cafe (Las Olas Cafe) instead. They charge a $100 room deposit. I don't know why as there are no amenities in the hotel - nothing to charge to your room. Self-parking is available for $35 a day with another mysterious deposit of $50. There is a private gated lot across Washington on 6th St. for $35 a day and the City lot on 7th is only $20 per day. The terrace on the 1st floor overlooking Washington Ave. was closed for construction. Hopefully they will build a small bar up there. The room was clean and featured a mini-fridge and safe.…
After more than 2 months still wating for our deposit. It is really hard to communicate with the hotel staff. First they just ignored our emails, later they finally promised that they will send our money back, however we still have not received it . The hotel was very noisy, Since the walls were very thin we had to hear people walk up and down the halls all night long. During our first night there was a loud couple who were shouting at each other for few hours, that was really scary and annoying and unfortunataly totally ignored by the hotel staff. The breakfast was also disappointing, You have have to wait in front of door for a long time to get it. We sometimes just felt they were deliberately slow to discourage us to come back on the following day.
I had a really great experience with the booking and the hotel. We stayed 2 nights before our cruise. Flat rate for taxi from airport to hotel $35. Walking distance to stores and the beach. Night FD printed our luggage tags. Coke machine on terrace only a $1. Uber to the port.
Firstly I want to say I didn’t pick this hotel my sister did. It was her birthday trip so I could not object. When I seen the pictures online I knew it was going to be a nasty place to stay. In my mind I thought this look like some a prostitute would use to turn tricks. Came in to be ignored by staff to check in. Stood there for 30 minutes waiting to check in. After checking in entered the room which was extremely small compared to the pictures. The room was giving nasty. Had to ask for blanket because the beds only have sheets. The toilet kept breaking so my sister kept fixing it. The bed felt nasty. I took 2 showers a day while I was here because that’s how nasty I felt. The front desk guy refused to give me more washcloths so I had to go buy some more from TJ Max down the street. I also purchase Clorox spray and Lysol to spray the room down in an attempt to make it more clean. Additionally they are still holding my deposit 4 days after departing. With how nasty it is their deposit should only be $10 not $100. The only positive I have is that it was close to the beach, ocean drive and many restaurants and bars.…
Beyond quirky, noisy doors, steps and road noise. Comfortable bed and clean environment. Very tired outdoor area with no service and non functioning drink machines. Spend a little more if you can as there are plenty of better options within this location.
Intoxicated homeless mentally ill man slept all night in smoking area of the hotel. It was disturbing that with cameras all over the outside and monitored at the front desk that this was allowed by staff and no police were called for removal.
