We stayed in 3F which is a large one-bedroom apartment with two washrooms, a large living room and a nicely equipped kitchen (Subzero fridge, Miele stove and oven!). The apartment has large windows with a direct view of Ocean Drive. We enjoyed our stay at the Carlyle, as we were in the center of the Art Deco district. The concierge was very helpful. Overall, we recommend this place for couples who like a quiet place to unwind after a long day at the beach. On the minus side, we did find the AC vent in the bedroom quite noisy and the mattress was uncomfortable.

Went here for a lunch a few times during our 9 day stay in Miami and had the Italian Sandwich each time as enjoyed it very much. Was a great location on Ocean Drive and the food was reasonably priced and delicious. We came back a third time and were persuaded to have a cocktail each as was happy hour. There were no prices on the cocktails but we decided as we were told it was happy hour we would get the other one free anyway so we werent too concerned. When we got the bill we had been charged $70 for two cocktails - apparently we had been conned into thinking it was happy hour as it was not. Shame as this turned somewhere we had thought was a lovely place into a bit of a sham. Tip: always ask the price of drinks as there is a reason they dont advertise them.

We stayed in 2N for girls trip Sept 18-22, 2015.
Here are my pros and cons:
Pros:
The room was really cute and spacious. Looks exactly like the pictures.
Towels were provided
Beds were comfortable (even the bunk beds surprisingly)
Bathrooms were spacious, modern and super clean
Although the property is located on a busy Ocean Drive corner, it was quiet for the most part.
Kitchen was nice although we really didn't cook. Roomy fridge came in handy though.
Cons:
Television and Wifi weren't functioning. We alerted the person at the desk but they acted so clueless and were no help at all.
Washer and dryer need to be updated because it took about 2 cycles a piece just to dry 1 load of clothes.
The fire alarm kept going off. I'm assuming this was due to the maintenance/construction going on. It would have been nice if we wouldn't been notified beforehand this construction was going on and to be prepared for fire alarms
It was quite annoying.
I see lots of negative reviews about the restaurant downstairs... I think I was charged like $30 for a mimosa. I wouldn't eat there again. Food wasn't great.
Other than that, we enjoyed out girls trip and would stay at the Carlyle again

The apartment is ok. The master bathroom tub filler / diverter needs to be replaced. There are no large pots in the kitchen. The Mile electric cooktop sucks. It shut off while I was cooking pasta. It totally sucks. For the price we are paying the kitchen and bathrooms should work

This is an amazing building historic building, an art deco gem! Keep in mind it is not a hotel and each unit is independently owned and rented out. We stayed in Unit 3A. What a great choice! The place was huge with 3 bedrooms/bathrooms and it had like 5 large windows facing the beach! Views were spectacular. It was also great to be on the fun but quieter part of Ocean Drive. Unit was clean and host and concierge were helpful and always available. I would highly recommend and plan to return!

You have a set of towels. You hVe to wash your towels on a daily basis. You can not switch them. It would be better if you had more than one set.
The unit Is not furnished adequately for longer than one day.

One of 9 buildings in Miami Beach declared "unsafe for occupancy" by the city after the collapse of Champlain Towers. Owners have known of the condition for 7 years but hsve refused to spend the money to make the necessary repairs. So sad. Such a beautiful building.

I am stil in the apartment 2N.
It is clean and very large, but there is too noise, expecially in the night! After hours noise party from the restaurant kitchen! They are not very polite . Yes, you are on ocean drive and there is a lot of music. But this apartment is on the back. If only guys from the kitchen Would be civilizated!
Be aware to Rent this if the building management won't change rules!!
In addition, 2 night I was in the shelves collapsed and fall down all the stuff put over there. There were broken glasses everywhere! I has to call security and just thanks to Lylian, a brilliant lady from the consorte, everything was fixed! She is the best and does the best. She takes care of your staying. She Makes the difference. So look for her if she stil works there, because she is so precious!!
