Occupying the former shells of two Miami Beach Art Deco icons - the Tudor Hotel and Palmer House - Dream South Beach Miami thrives today as a sexy, fashion-inspired boutique lodging that proves style and service don't have to be mutually exclusive. Our hip 108-room hotel is located in the heart of South Beach at Collins Avenue and 11th Street, nestled against the former Versace Mansion and a mere 50 yards from the beach.

This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Dream South Beach offers a unique stay with its eclectic atmosphere and prime location, steps away from the beach and South Beach's vibrant scene. While the rooftop pool and beach access are highlights, guests have called out the small, sometimes dark rooms and noted the absence of expected amenities. Opinions on service and value vary, with some praising the staff's attentiveness and others pointing out the hotel's premium pricing does not match the level of amenities and service experienced. Despite this, the hotel's cleanliness generally receives favorable comments.

From the moment we checked in everyone was very accommodating. Tina checked me in and helped me and my boyfriend every step of the way she even had someone to help us get our bags. She did an amazing job by calling me letting me know if there was available rooms for early check-in. I appreciate that more than she knows. She was so very nice and friendly and she smiled the entire time The front desk guys were so very helpful and nice. The rooms are amazing. You could tell they were upgraded most recently. I love the shower I love the area where you put your bags in the room, the bed was very very very large. I mean like super California king size large very very excited about that the pool area was nice. The pool guys were excellent as well very sweet and kind. Tina allowed us to do a late check out (1pm) which was $75 but it was totally worth it since we both had late evening flights! The great part of this late check out was that we still had access to the beach (definitely went to beach again) still had time to shower and leave at 1pm. We even had rooftop access that we took advantage of to rest when we came back from brunch. We had our bags held, had brunch, then returned back to the rooftop while we waited for uber. I would definitely return back to this hotel because of the accommodations and the nice and staff. I forgot to also mention that you have access to the beach Richard (Friday) and Alexander (Saturday) were amazing very helpful at the beach, so sweet and easy to approach when asking for help all smiles!

Had a great time at the Beach hotel. Check in was very easy and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The hotel is in fact split into two buildings with the reception and spa area in one building and the rooms, (well the room we were in anyway) are in the building next door,It is literally 5 or 10 yards. They are both historic art-deco buildings and stunning, well maintained and beautifully decorated. There is a bar restaurant on the ground floor, the food was very nice, and a sun terrace and small pool on the roof, which was excellent, we ordered food while there and it was delivered to our sun beds, great service and great food!
The hotel is situated on the street behind Ocean Drive right in the middle of the art-deco area and a stones throw from the beautiful beach. It’s a perfect location to tour and discover South Beach. There’s a fantastic vibe in the area full of restaurants and bars, local and international shops and obviously the beach. There are great places to sit enjoy the weather and people watch.
If there is one small negative, the rooms at the front can be noisy during the day and evening, if you can ask for a room towards the back of the hotel. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff are continually cleaning and spicing the place up and if the happen to be outside your room you can certainly hear them. I wouldn’t let that put you off, it’s a great hotel in a fantastic location with lovely quirky rooms, we will certainly have no hesitation in recommending this hotel

My boyfriend and I headed down from Palm Beach for a getaway for one evening and stayed 5 nights!! We just couldn't get enough of the impeccable service from the moment I pulled in the valet and was given champagne at the front desk upon checking in,to the minute we left. Jariel was one of the amazing door men getting our luggage to our room before we even get there and Santana helped us make reservations and could not have been more accommodating. The rooms were impeccably clean and check out is 12 which is nice for those late nights in Miami and the cleaning staff didnt bother us and knock on the door every hour as we just put the do not disturb sign on the door.
This hotel has another building next to it Dream has rooms in both, along with an amazing Taco place (bartender Ben fun to hang with) and a rooftop pool with bar and Alexa our pool attendant was quick to assist us in getting towels and setting them up as well as moving umbrellas. I was nothing short of impressed with the entire stay and will not stay anywhere else in Miami. You can tell customer service starts at the top and was made to be incredibly important here. I've stayed at 5 star hotels that a didnt have this kind of service!!!! To make things even better the location to the beach is a 5 minute walk!

This hotel has the most lovely friendly staff, a pleasant roof top pool.

We were allocated room 102, which was noisy and overlooked piles of the neighbours garbage and had staff from various restaurants taking there cigarette breaks.

Also think it might be a nice gesture for the hotel too offer a small discount in its restaurant and bar

The room cleanliness and proximity to beach and boardwalk earn this place the stars, but that’s about all the good I can say. If you want a cheap place to sleep only it might work for you.
The location is sketchy, everything around it is very run down, I think we possibly had the worst room, shabby furniture, it was very dark even with all the weird led lights on, and if we opened the blinds we were looking at a dirty alley way, trash cans and a junk filled basement.
The bathroom had no privacy, swinging frosted glass doors facing the bed are open at the top and bottom... the shower has glass walls and right when you walk into the room you can see straight through the shower to the toilet. It didn’t feel very secure either, anyone could walk down the hall straight to our room, right down the hall from the restaurant!
We came during bad weather and I couldn’t spend any more time in there- no common areas to hang out in and no window to look out so we checked out early and found another place down the road which saved the rest of our trip. I wish I had left immediately. Pool area looks nothing like the pictures either FYI

Thank you for taking time to review us, we apologize for the issues that you experienced while staying here at the Dream South Beach we do incorporate a modern boutique design to all of our rooms with a smart interior that includes the bathroom and closets. We also incorporate a mood lighting setup, but you can request a lamp that will provide additional illumination. We understand that it may not be for everyone and for that we do have upgraded room types that you can upgrade to that provides more space and privacy if that is what you are looking for. We hope that we may be given a second chance in the future to provide the service that you deserve. Once again we thank you and we hope to have you return with us whenever you are in the south beach area.

Clean, comfortable, and in the heart of South Beach, we were very happy to have chosen Dream Hotel. All of the staff were gracious professionals, including the concierges, door persons, folks at the desk, staff at the pool, and the cleaners. Service definitely gets an A! Also would note that the company they’ve partnered with for beach chairs/umbrellas provides a great service.

Dream Hotel is perfectly located at the south beach in Miami. Everything in south beach is in walking distance.

Rooms are quiet new and nicely designed, beds not ver comfy i have to admit. Depending on the location of your room i can get very noisy as they don’t have noise cancelling windows. But you’re not going to south beach if you are disturbed by partys around right? :)

Very friendly staff at the lobby and the roof top pool. The restaurant downstairs is also good, loved their tacos.

Casa Casuarina (Versace Villa) is next to the Hotel from the roof top you can see de back of the Villa and top floors.

The hotel itself was ok. Location was good, was clean, staff was nice. However due to covid they were not cleaning rooms while you were there, not good when you go to the beach some days!! They didn’t give you any extra towels if you were staying longer since they weren’t cleaning, you had to ask for them every time and then they didn’t take dirty ones so we had a mountain of dirty towels in our room. Our “city view” was of the alley laundry trash cans. The rooftop pool was much smaller then I assumed by the picture (don’t plan on swimming). And if you have a rental car it’s $45/night and plan to wait 45-60 minutes every time you need it to leave. Overall it was OK for the price we paid, but nothing to brag about.

Dream vacation is a beautiful boutique hotel. The rooftop pool is incredible. I was immediately greeted by Justin the pool concierge who was a class gentleman. He made sure I had towels and made me feel welcomed by laying the towels out and was so kind to ask if there was anything else I needed.... plus he is a Dallas Cowboys 💙 Fan which makes it an amazing dream rooftop pool😉

We had been couped up all of covid and decided to get away. We picked Miami Dream South Beach hotel, we had never been to Miami and it happened to be spring break. So we were a bit shocked at how "Times Square, NY" the scene was. The room was small and dark with no real natural lighting. We were disappointed. We knew it was the art deco area on Collins Street but we were hoping for more of an updated look, the Besty Ross was more our style. We decided to leave and stay in the keys.. However...the staff was so amazing and merited the 4 stars. Ray Wong went above and beyond to hear us out offer us suggestions ...including extra lamps and a no penalty early leave fee. He called to check on us, explained the area which was no fault of his own , rather user error on our part. Ray and Juan Carlos went above and beyond we were grateful. We did stay 2 days before heading out and if you're into city sized vintage art deco, in the heart of it all, then this will work for you. Thanks Ray! For making our brief stay better.

The main difference between the rooms is their location. The King Bronze rooms are our standard accommodations situated on the first and second floors of the Palmer Building, facing a neighboring hotel and a restaurant/lounge. The King Silver rooms, also standard, are located on the second and third floors of either the Palmer or Tudor buildings, with views of the street and/or a restaurant/lounge. The King Gold rooms, our standard rooms in a preferred location, overlook the courtyard between the Palmer and Tudor buildings. These rooms can be found on the first, second, and third floors of both buildings. Due to our central location in South Beach, the King Bronze and King Silver rooms are more exposed to noise from the surrounding area. In contrast, the King Gold rooms experience less noise, thanks to their more secluded location.
