It’s very tired and run down place that feels somehow dodgy and even unsafe.
As soon as you enter the building you realise you’ll struggle to communicate unless you speak Spanish. Most of valet other staff didn’t speak any English, which was rather challenging.
We quickly realised that the condos are owned by different people so there isn’t any standard only pure luck. The unit 740 we were staying in is owned by Alex who also owns several other condos. The unit was fairly clean but the paint seems to be just slapped over old dirty walls and it was peeling quite a bit. Most of things and fixtures were either half broken or missing. The view was amazing but the windows were dirty and not possible to open so it was impossible to enjoy the ocean view. The door to bathroom wasn’t possible to shut, which was probably the most annoying thing there. Also the beds springs were very noisy so any time someone turned in bed at night everyone in the room would be woken up. The TV in the room would turn on with remote but then you could only change channels on the actual cable box. Although we were lucky enough to have a couple of beach loungers and a parasol, we only had 2 between 3 of us so someone always had to be lying on the towel directly on the sand.. The pool seem to be ok although we’ve never got to use it. Also the hotel location is pretty convenient as it had direct access to the beach, had a little store at the gas station across the road or you could drive literally 1 minute (or walk some 5 mins) to Publix and several food places.

If you want a budget spot right on the beach, this is your place. It is an old property, and this shows the most with the pool. It needs to completely redone. Your experience will vary based on the apartment you stay in. The apartments are individually owned. Ours was clean, but it also was old. Parking is extra.

I just returned today after spending 8 nights. I had a beautiful refurbished room with kitchenette facing the condo on the south side but you could actually see the ocean and beach by just a glance to to left. The room was well maintained each day - cleaned everywhere and lots of towels, and kitchen things like paper towels and soap for the dishes. I really don't know why some people are writing bad reviews. Maybe some of the rooms are not as nice as the one I had - I can't answer that, but the room I had was excellent and a true value for the money. The bus to South Beach was $1.50 and took eleven to fifteen minutes to get there. The pool was great and the beach just a short walk from that. I dined in the restaurant twice and was suprised how great the quality of food was and the oversized portions!! I sure did not walk away hungry!! If you want Hilton quality then pay for a Hilton - but I would rather save a few bucks and stay at the Casablanca!! The staff were all friendly and helped me out whenever I had a question. I am surely going to recommend it to my airline friends!! I have travelled a lot in this world and this is truly a good value!!

We booked two rooms through Airbnb for a girls trip May this year. The pictures displayed are not what you get. The hotel was run down and dirty. The entire hotel smelled like pot, several floors, trash and food laying in the halls, lobby, elevator, raw eggs broken laying around the pool outside. The air did not work in one of the rooms and none of the safes in either room worked. Doors are flimsy and could have been easily pushed or kicked in. Hotel was very run down. Some of the pics on Airbnb were actually of the property next to this one that is NOT the Casablanca. We also prepaid for parking. We checked in and after spending 3 hours decided to leave due to dirty, rundown hotel which we felt was an unsafe environment. We witnessed drug use and out of control behavior in the hotel. When we checked out we asked that our parking be reimbursed for the remaining 3 days. They told us they could not make that decision and to call the manager Mr. Schecher who needless to say we could not reach & I have tried at least 8+ times. Even though we never stayed one night here we could only get back about $600 (less than 1/2) but to me it was worth not staying here! If the price is too good to be true it is for a reason.

If you're looking for a Hilton or something modern, this is not your property. If you're looking for a great location and beach access at a low cost, then this is your place. My room was dated but clean. The property is low frills, but pleasant. There is a gift shop with basic convenience items at very reasonable prices. There is a pool and gate access right to the beach. Every unit is individually owned so they will very between furnishings and updates. Everything functioned as it was supposed to in our room, and we had no issues with the owner. They infact let us into the property early because we arrived in the late morning.
If you are looking for a place to sleep and use as a jumping off point, then I recommend the Casablanca.

While we were staying at the Casablanca in Miami Beach in October 2020, the valet staff caused a large scratch on our rental car while it was under their supervision in the valet lot. We filled out a claim, but so far they have been unresponsive to the frequent requests for payment on the claim by Hertz. I find this to be very negligent and unprofessional since the damages are 100% their fault. We were satisfied with the amenities at the Casablanca, and the unit was of great value. But when we factor in a $600 claim that we may have to pay due to the valet's negligence, the value disappears instantly. We will not be returning to the Casablanca or any facility that uses Elite Parking Valet services, unless they make this right.

My family and I stayed at this hotel and we could not stay there for more then one night. The sheets, pillows, and chairs all had stains on them. We called and told the owner our issues and no one came to fix the problem. Our shower was a pipe sticking out of the wall and it had no shower head. We also got 4 towels for the 5 of us and we were originally planning on staying for a week and if we wanted new towels we would have to pay $20 for new towels each day we wanted new towels. We also went with family friends and found out that our room codes were the same and we were very surprised by that. The hotel itself also smelt like weed the whole time we were there. It is not safe for kids, do not go to this hotel.

I read the reviews before booking and decided to give it a try because not all reviews are accurate. I would NEVER recommend staying here. The lobby itself isn’t a true lobby in my eyes. The front desk staff I’m not even sure how to explain. Once arriving there was no ramp to get your suitcase up (no big deal, they have valet that could help.. right?) no. Valet just stared at us and let us pick our own suitcases up. The elevators were extremely slow and the people inside.. that’s an entire other issue.

We rented a condo and that room itself was okay. However, after the elevator ride up with a man in a Halloween mask and him blaring music, the horrible smell of the hallways, and just the people out of the hotel— we checked out and found another place to stay. We are hoping for a refund for part of the visit as we did not feel safe staying here. The beach access is wonderful which is why I have it a one star but other than that no. The beach access is not worth the feelings we had and couldn’t wait to get out. Even our Uber driver told us it was a sketchy place as we had asked about if they knew much about it.

Save yourself money and time and rent a place in south beach. We are not people who like to party but felt much better located at a hotel down there.

Lesson learned for this trip.

Worse place I’ve stayed in Miami! Hotel is not clean! Disgusting! Saw cockroaches in the bathroom. Bold in the bathroom. I got a “non-smoking” room and the smell of cigarette was just terrible. I even had to buy an air freshener (which did not help, the smell was just penetrating). Never saw housekeepers. They only supply two rolls of toilet paper. They supply towels that are years years old. I most definitely do not recommend this place. Never again, I’d rather spend $200-$300 more for a clean, bold free and cockroach free hotel!!!

My partner and I booked a condo from AirBnB at the hotel and it was the worst experience we have ever had. The hotel was advertised as being bright, right on the beach, with a restaurant and bar. We were excited to check it out. While it was right on the beach, it was NOT as advertised. The entire building reeks of smoke, is dimly lit, and trash is everywhere. The pool itself is dingy and the restaurant looks as if it hasn’t been open in a while. We felt incredibly unsafe walking in. It was like we were in the opening sequence of a horror film….The Casablanca Massacre.

The condo itself was also a disaster. It was advertised as nonsmoking and we found a full ashtray on the table. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned and the sheets had stains on them. We were given two towels for the entire week and one roll of toilet paper. The “tiles” in the bathroom were falling off and the toilet was constantly running. No dishsoap, no paper towels, nothing. The oven was even missing a knob and we were told to “just stick it back on.”

We got the hell out of dodge after one night and booked a place in South Beach instead. We have to give credit to our AirBnB hosts for being so understanding and communicative, but we honestly were so uncomfortable with the entire situation. Save yourself the hassle and do not book a room here. You will regret it.

Is there a free shuttle bus to and from the airport and port
Answer from Hotel_Mgr_365

Dear Redhead, Thank you for your questions. As others have mentioned, we do not offer complimentary airport transportation, but there are several convenient options available. Private shuttles like Super Shuttle are available at the airport 24 hours. The rates range from $22 per person to $45 for a group of four. Other options are regular taxis at around the same cost, and Uber which is typically less expensive. We can't wait to welcome you to Miami Beach! Casablanca on the Ocean
