Detailed Reviews
We booked this hotel for 3 nights on Booking.com, where it was advertised as a 4 star hotel. The hotel itself is ok but it is definitely not 4 star.
Location is pretty good and is close enough to walk to South Beach and Ocean Drive. The reception area is pleasant enough and the staff were ok (they were a little blunt but we found a lot of people on Miami Beach to be like that). Beware that they take a $100 deposit for the minibar in your room, which should be returned within 5 working days if you don't use it. We only checked out today so I'm hoping this will be the case.
The pool was the smallest I've ever seen and always seemed to be in the shade (it's in a quadrangle within the hotel). We never went there and spent the days by the beach instead, which is only a few minutes walk away.
The restaurant and bar area looks very nice, but in the 3 days we were there we didn't see one person in there. It was dead!
The rooms were of a good size and the beds were comfy. The finish of the rooms wasn't great and definitely not what you'd see in a 4 star hotel, but everything worked just fine. There is a safe in the room but it is not secured to anything, which made it feel a little less safe! The bathroom was fine and had a decent shower.
If you're looking for somewhere cheaper close to South Beach and you only plan on showering and sleeping there then I would recommend. However, if you want a 4 star hotel and plan on staying there all day to use the pool and bar/restaurant, I would probably avoid.

Overall the hotel was fine. The biggest thing it has for itself is its location, 2 blocks from the biggest attractions on South Beach. The room was clean and updated. I was not happy they added a $30 per night "room charge" without being notified, it was just sprung on me at check in. The font desk staff at my check in was rude, he was alone with a ton of people in line, and had no help. The staff later in my stay was awesome, she was friendly and wanted to help. If you are looking for 5 star, this isnt the place for you. But if you want close to the beach (2 blocks) and a room to crash, this is your place. Parking was an issue as well, but I think it is for most hotels in the area, that was another $20 per night.

3 star hotel. Very clean room. There were towels, toiletries and products to prepare coffee or tea. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. I just didn't like the bed, the mattress was uncomfortable. I also didn't like the breakfast designed only for Anglo-Saxons and not for Latinos- there was no yogurt, milk or fruit on the menu- they only offered eggs, bacon, sausages and the like.

My wife and I stayed here for our first ever trip to Miami and we had a great experience. The staff were wonderful and we would like to say thank you to Victor, Bianca and Cristian for making us feel so welcome during our stay and for looking after us so well. A special thanks to Victor who, upon finding out it was my wife’s birthday, arranged a little treat for her which was totally unexpected and such a kind gesture - thank you Victor! The hotel itself is in a perfect location, just a very short walk from Ocean Drive / South Beach and within easy walking distance of Lincoln Road Mall, Miami Beach Convention Center and the Miami Beach Marina where you can catch the water taxi over to Downtown. Our room was spacious with a great bed and bathroom and a seating area, perfect for chilling out and making use of the air conditioning after spending a hot day at the beach! Breakfast was included in our rate and was available from 8am to 10.30am at the restaurant adjoining the hotel. We had a great stay and we’d definitely come back again!

I hope their staff is well paid as Victor doubles as the receptionist and bellman but manages to give excellent customer service just the same.
Be prepared to clean your own room as they are using the Covid excuse not provide that service even with the extra resort fee that the charge at check-in.
If you want to charge guests extra for a coffee machine, give them the option to not have one in their room or just include the resort fee in the booking cost upfront. The resort fee does not include the coffee, that is an extra $2 each.
I paid $273 for my resort and that really affected my budget to tip the staff and do stuff.
I will never go back as I feel duped.

I honestly don’t know how this hotel is even open to guests. The room we was placed in was unfit for an animal to stay in. The lobby, restaurant, pool and staff was great. It’s the hotel itself. As soon as we opened the door and there was a big hole in the floor, big enough that the wheels on the luggage bag got stuck in and almost toppled over. We also could smell mildew. Room had the king size bed in it that we paid for but the room had no space! We couldn’t open our luggage bags and lay them flat, they had to be propped up against the wall. The bathroom is so small that you can not extend you arms above your head because the ceiling is so low!
The room was full of mold! You could see it and smell it! We also went purchased a uv light and stains that appeared, semen stains! Instead of the owner(s) spend some of all that money they’re making to make the rooms clean and mold free, they rather paint over the mold and don’t care about your health at all!
***black mold in the shower and on the ceiling vent. Whole cut under the place where the mini fridge sat, which made the refrigerator to tilt sideways which made the door constantly stay open if refrigerator wasn’t repositioned to sit flat. Room had been spot painted (apparently to cover the mold). Cobwebs, dust and evidence that the room hadn’t been cleaned***

The only good thing was that the hotel is in a great location and has amazing Latin restaurants nearby. Concerning the room, its the worst that I could have thought. The room was filled up with dust which gave my boyfriend skin rashes and mold which made me severely sick. The whole place was smelling weed when it is well mentioned that its a non smoking property. The bed mattress was curved and the AC was broken due to which we could not sleep, the walls are so thin that we could hear the guest in other rooms talking and banging their doors (it is mentioned to be soundproof rooms). The terrace was not cleaned, it had mud that has been dried (seems like it has not been cleaned for days). All amenities that are mentioned upon booking was not provided; Broken hair dryer, broken iron, no towels, no soap or shower gel. We went to the front desk asking for the room amenities and to have the room well cleaned but they just provided us with towels and bathing amenities, nothing was done to clean the room itself. The staff was indifferent to the complaints and acted normally. I would even say that they were acting as if they are doing us a favor by accommodating us. They charged us $40 for 2 bottles of water without even providing a receipt.

Horrible! I did not fly over 1,000 miles away to stay in a moldy, gnat infested building that smelled of mildew. My friends and I planned to relax in a space that was slightly more elevated than our own apartments. Clinton was giving Motel vibes not tropical getaway.
When I arrived no one was at the front desk and thankfully someone was exiting or else I would not have been able to enter the building. The building is locked so the receptionist is essential. Once I got in Carl returned to the front desk after socializing with his friends; one of which approached me and began to make passes at me while I was trying to check in. Carl was brief, told me the room number and gave me my key after swiping my card for incidentals. He was preoccupied and when I inquired about a different floor it appeared to be a burden to him. He left briefly came back and checked but the hotel was too full. I waited for my other friend to come. Once I saw her Uber arrived I went to the hotel entrance door and there she was stranded with her luggage. Carl again was NOT at the front desk. When she entered the room she was just as appalled as me but our third friend's husband booked the room so we didn't want to step on toes. Once my third friend arrived she also was not happy and her husband understood. The next day we checked out and checked into the beautiful and overly accommodating Hotel Greystone which I highly recommend. Upon check out, the hotel only agreed to refund my friend's husband for the 1 night left on the reservation and not the night we stayed despite our diplomacy and dissatisfaction.
Two days ago, I called to attempt to negotiate a refund for the $85 that was charged to my card for incidentals. Carl picked up and explained they never agreed to refund us for the night we stayed and I will NOT be getting a refund for incidentals without any explanation. He did not offer any other remedy nor apologize. Instead he got loud and repeated to speak over me at which point I ended the call.
The building is dumb - I killed 3 gnats in one night. The lamp was stained and room smelled. This hotel needs to be renovated. Carl needs to be fired for so many reasons. I tried to work with the staff for a refund and be on my way but it is best the public knows as I wish my friends and I did so we could have made suggestions to friend's hubby before booking! I highly recommend Hotel Greystone & The goodtime Hotel - both on South Beach.

I came to Clinton for the first time back in 2018 and it was a great experience the rooms were clean and it is conveniently located and walking distance to just about everything we did. But this time the rooms had this odor, there was NO hot water and management didn’t seem to care, when I called front desk to let know about the odor they let me know they were booked and about the hot water, the handle was not pushed all the way. I only shower every day so I’m sure I knew how to turn the hot water on 🙄. No one came to our room to even check out what was going on. So I just had to leave there and I will never ever stay at this hotel again.

Let’s start with the good... The staff was great, very pleasant with great attitudes. The front desk, engineer, & the female bar tender at limonada, all great. THE HOTEL however, is ran down & outdated... it seems the elevator has been broken for a while. The carpet is old & dirty throughout. When you’re walking to your room throughout the corridors it gives heavy motel vibes. The room I stayed in was very small & was just good enough to store my luggage & sleep. The upside of the hotel is its location, It’s central to a lot of attractions & walking distance to the beach.
