Gabriel was an excellent front desk rep. Perfect location (walking distance from the beach great room, right in the middle of all the action, Fast service really enjoyed the fact that it was able to ask the staff questions and they were very knowledgeable on what is going on. The things that caught me by surprise is the happy hour from 7 to 8. The way that everyone communicated with each other and how personable everyone was with the guest. I would definitely be coming back and spending more time here. Had a blast

Overall not a bad place. We were booked in room 500 which has a king-sized bed, which was comfortable. Room was clean and nicely decorated. But the large window and the smaller bathroom window on the north side of the room do not have curtains. The blinds do NOT sufficiently block the lights which were right outside and on 24 hours a day! The room is across from a row of suites with exterior sitting areas just outside our windows. These are single pane windows that DO NOT block the noise of people talking. And they talked until late into the night. So sleeping, the one thing you rent a hotel room for, was nearly impossible. The maid, although nice, could not seem to leave us the right number of towels. There were only 2 of us. We would get four bath towels and one face cloth!?! And when we asked for a face cloth were told they could not find one! Finally, if you like a hot shower, turn the water on ten minutes before you actually want to take your shower. Honestly it took that long for the water to heat up!! It was close to the beach! And everyone was nice enough. But it lacked some basics that I normally take for granted.

Hello, Thank you for the three-star review and for providing feedback on your visit with us here at the Chesterfield Hotel in South Beach. We take all feedback into consideration to see how we can continue to improve the guest experience during their time with us here at the Chesterfield. We are sorry to hear that our accommodations were not quiet enough and kept you from having a quiet night's sleep with us. We are located in a lively part of South Beach that is known for its nightlife and while we try our hardest to enforce our policy of other guests being thoughtful some occurrences do still take place and we are sorry if this was your experience with us. We are sorry if the lack of face rags was another issue as this is not our normal policy, we will be sharing this review with management so they can look into it for further clarification. As far as the shower temperature we always ask our team to share any issues they experience during their stay with us so we can fix any issues as they happen. We ask that you please consider us for any future visits so we can further exceed your expectations next time around. JL, Guest Relations

My experience at Chesterfield was horrible and I will never stay there again.
I arrived on Friday 4/9 and waited 40 minutes to be checked in, only to be given a room on the first floor (401) with a leaking bathroom and filthy tub.
The front desk said they would have maintenance come to take a look at the leak coming from the shower. While we waited we discovered how bad the leak was and knew that it could not be fixed. Why was no one at the property aware there was an issue in this room? Are the rooms not checked and cleaned?
After going back into the office a third time the manager said we could move to room 415, which must have been someone else’s room because another guest tried to enter our room shortly after we got into 415 saying they were given this room.
The decorative green banner on the beds was dirty, the floor was filthy and covered with hair, there were two lights out in our room and a slow leak coming from the faucet in the tub. When we asked to have housekeeping come to sweep and mop the floor I was told it would depend on the number of supplies they had in stock. Walking back a fourth time from the office I see housekeeping sitting in the corridor smoking so I asked them for a broom and mop to clean our floor.
The front desk never answered the phone so every time we needed anything we had to walk into the lobby. This included toilet paper and bath towels, which the front desk never seemed to have. I requested a large bath towel and was provided with two washcloths because that is all they had in stock.
The highlight of my trip was waking up Monday at 2 am to a running toilet that overflowed all over the bathroom floor. I had to walk to the lobby and have the front desk person come into our room in the middle of the night to rig the toilet from continuously flowing. The instructions were to turn off the water valve on the side and take the top off to shake a line inside of the toilet.
And finally, I check my credit card statement days later to find a $100 charge and another $9.95 charge, when I call to inquire about this charge I am told it was for the minibar. Once again the front desk clerk cannot help me and hangs up in my face.
Chesterfield is not up to hotel standards, I would like to request a full refund for my stay, no one should have to deal with the lack of cleanliness and unprofessional manner that is happening at Chesterfield.

Upon arrival on 7/30/21 I was directed to a room that had 2 queens and 2 chairs instead of the 2 queens' and sofa bed that I booked. Upon immediately returning to the check in desk the staff attempted to convince me that there was a sofa in the room. Only after the staff went to visually check the room a new room assignment was given. My guest and I stood outside in the heat for at least and additional 25 minutes while staff attempted and failed to open the newly assigned room with not only the electronic key card, but the hard key as well. The third room we went to actually had a sofa bed and two queens. I was finally given the actual room that I booked. Unfortunately, the toilet and the sink constantly leaked water onto the floor and the stream of water in the shower could not be completely turned off. Upon notification the staff immediately sent maintenance to the room. Maintenance confirmed the leaks, indicated he would be back and never returned. I had no other alternative than to place towels both under the sink and around the base of the toilet to keep the floor from being saturated. My guest and I had already unpacked and attempted to settle in. Therefore, there was no interest in attempting to demand a different room. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was discovered later in the evening when attempting to use the sofa bed. Not only were there no linens on the bed, gum wrappers and other miscellaneous trash were present as I pulled the sofa bed out and the mattress was so badly stained in multiple areas that it could not be used. Staff was reminded the following day about the leaks. Nothing was done. Since many of the towels were used to contain the leaks, I had to request additional towels to use for hygienic purposes. I was told there none available at the time and some would be brought to the room. As you may have guessed, I did not receive additional towels until returning to the desk to make an additional request hours later. There were no customer service recovery efforts. No attempt to resolve the issues. The staff seemed to have been completely unconcerned about the many inconveniences and appeared to have been irritated by my repeated requests to remedy the situation. Sadly, I will never return to the Chesterfield nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. The only positive about the entire stay form 7/30/21 to 8/2/21 was the location. Being conveniently located to made it easy to escape the dreadful room.

Upon arriving at Chesterfield after a long travel day with my toddler, I was looking forward to settling into my room promptly. It was after 3 pm, so I figured this shouldn't be a problem since that is their check-in time.
The manager assigned me a room in the courtyard next door which was tiny and looked nothing like the pictures of the room I had booked online. I lugged my suitcases back to the lobby and asked the manager to re-assign me to the room for which I had paid. She did so (with an attitude) and said it would be a short wait while they cleaned it.
Over an hour later, My room was finally ready. We went in, put down our bags and tried to get comfortable. I immediately noticed that the floors looked grungy. I told my son to keep his shoes on at all times while in the room because God only knows who else has been walking in there or what kind of bacteria is on that floor. I know that they were dirty because I took one of the white facecloths from the washroom, wetted it and wiped the floor and sure enough, it came up black. Very unsanitary.
This hotel has a bar in their lobby and offers free drinks from 7-8 pm. But guess what? The bar stays open till the wee hours of the night BLASTING music and my room was right next to the bar. I could hear people talking half the night and barely slept because of it.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a party hotel with little quiet and don't mind sleeping in dirty quarters, then Chesterfield Miami Beach is perfect for you. If you have some expectation of cleanliness and expect to get actual rest on your vacation, then DO NOT book here.
They also claim to have a pool but they actually use the pool of a "sister hotel" which is a very long walk or cab ride away. It is not convenient at all so I'm not sure why they try to use that as one of their selling points.
I think the only positive thing about this hotel was its location. It is one block from the beach and located on Collins Ave which is close to shops and restaurants.

I was scheduled to stay at chesterfield on June 22nd. However United Airlines canceled my flight until June 23rd. I called Agoda who I booked thru and sent emails from United apologizing for the inconvenience and new and original boarding passes and still nothing. I was trying to get a refund due to the flight canceling but basically Agoda saying it’s up to Chesterfield hotel and Chesterfield hotel say it’s up to Agoda. Not to mention on June 22nd between 1:00pm until 9:00 I called them and they never answered (Agoda called them also and got no answer). When I mentioned it to the front desk associates on the 23rd, she looked at me and picked up the phone as if it was ringing. I also know the phone ringer was off because a friend of mine booked a room also for the 23rd and had their room canceled also which it should not have been because they checked in at 3pm on the 23rd so they had no discrepancies. They later called the front desk and I seen the phone lighting up meaning it was ringer as she ignored it. The other party then called my phone because she didn’t answer for me to ask them for tissue for their room so I told her and she had a attitude as she seen I realize the ringer was off. She picked up the phone and said nobody is on the phone (they was still on my phone as she knew) I told them to call the front desk again then she answered. I asked again was something wrong with the phone because I clearly seen they just ignore their customers after we spend our money with them and could choose any establishment. And because they didn’t answer their phone I can’t get a refund for the night I sent new itineraries for that they requested I’m still being ignored by Agoda and Chesterfield Hotel in south beach.

Hello 493aw, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry about your last minute flight cancellation. We wish your booking had more flexibility when it comes to the cancellation policy that's why we always recommend booking directly on our website instead of a third party. Our official website's cancellation policy this summer was just 24 hours with a full refund. Third-party bookings are far more restricted and last-minute cancellations are subject to penalties. Agoda often sells non-refundable rates. In addition, it is listed on our site as a channel that we do NOT recommend! Purchasing travel insurance for the airline ticket is advisable because it is likely to cover the hotel stay penalty should the guest cancel outside of the allowed timeframe. Once again, we are sorry that you did not get to enjoy your stay with us due to your travel plan changes. It must have been quite an inconvenience and we can understand your frustration. Thanks again for taking the time to write a review.

I came to stay at the Chesterfield hotel and it was a nightmare. I arrived and was stuck waiting for a very long time for someone to check me in, I was the only person in the lobby. When I arrived to my first room, it was a mess. There was garbage all over the room, the bedspread was in the jacuzzi, and it looked like someone was staying in it. I went back to the desk, and after waiting again, despite me being the only person in the lobby, I was assigned another room. I asked the front desk person to walk with me to the room to check it out and it was again a disaster. Especially in times of COVID, it is extremely important that the room you are staying in appears sanitary, clean, and not occupied. This was very disappointing to say the least. I have attached photos of what everything looked like. When I finally did get a room, I felt anxious about staying there. I only stayed the one night because it was already late at night by the time they sorted out the mess. I left the following morning and stayed elsewhere. I would not recommend. They did not make any adjustments to my bill, and while the front desk person tried to be helpful, it was really a nightmare. I have attached pictures of the various rooms that they tried to offer me as proof of how unsanitary it was. Keep in mind that these pictures are from me just getting a room key and checking in.

Hello Sean. Thank you for writing to us. We are truly disappointed with the service you received. We would not intentionally offer a room that has yet to be serviced let alone twice, so our front desk agent must've made a mistake. Your review will be shared with our team as there seems to have been a miscommunication as to which rooms were available to sell and those that were not. It is reviews like yours that assist us in assessing procedures and making improvements as needed. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and consider us again for a future stay where we can turn things around.

I should have paid more attention to all of the reviews. I expected a small space and it was acceptably clean with a convenient location to the beach and restaurants. The service was what was so disappointing. First, my flight was canceled but I was meeting my cousin in Miami so I called Reservations (I was on hold for a full 45 minutes before someone answered) and had her name added to the reservation. When she arrived her name wasn't on the reservation. I called again and was told "I see her name there but it is in the wrong place. I can put her name in the notes and then they'll see it." She went back up to the desk and was told they still couldn't see her name. She asked if I could call or FaceTime to prove I've added her and they said no. So I called Reservations for the third time and this time I received yet a different response. "Oh, when names are added it takes at least a day to show up in the system. You'll need to call your cousin and have her hand the phone to the hotel personnel and tell them what is going on." This time, they gave her an email address for me to scan a copy of my drivers license. Finally, almost 2 hours later, she got in the room.
Like most of the reviews said, it is loud but I guess that is to be expected. Again, it was the service that was deplorable. They were not cleaning rooms during the stay. (Ok, it is COVID but most hotels offer some sort of cleaning as consumer choice.) They said we could request fresh towels each day from the front desk when we returned used towels. We did so but didn't get fresh towels for 3 more days after asking each morning at which point our name was "added to the list" (had to use our beach towels).
Finely, the bartender was super rude. He'd only give us ice and plastic cups for our small beach cooler if we bought something else and then tipped generously.

Hello, if you are going to check-in after 2 AM you will have to contact the hotel reservation department and let them know as after 2 AM we start a new night audit (aka a new day begins). Please call us at 877-762-3477 (305-535-8284 Ext 1)
The staff speak Spanish and English. Very kind and polite.
They do not gave a shuttle to cruise port. But we took an uber to port and it costed only $15.00 for 4 of us, and it was about a 15 min. ride.
Hi Tracy,
Our Shuttle bus is a white van with blue accents that read South Beach Group on the front , and it runs every odd hour from MIA airport beginning at 9:00 am. There is no need to schedule in advance when you arrive. You can find more detailed info at our website.
Please let us know if you have any more questions and we'll be glad to answer them.
