What about our stay at Broadmore or Broadmoor (still have to figure out what's the official name, guess the owners were kinda confused) Hotel? Well, I'd like to start by saying that the location is excellent, there's a public beach in front of the hotel (many rooms have an ocean view, which is a plus), and the hotel should provide chairs too!! North Miami Beach has cool spots to eat that are close to the hotel, and the cost of the rooms is not excessive, it's a good value for money. Now, about the cons: the elevator is hella slow, and takes about 3/4 minutes to get to the higher floors. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfy and there's extra space too!! Bathrooms have the biggest problems, the first room we slept into had the shower clogged up, so we were moved to another suite, which had the toilet completely clogged up (what an experience it was). Apparently, room service is available only every three days, so, if you're staying for less than that, you're not gonna have your room cleaned, you will only have fresh towels every day. The hotel's staff is gentle, and it's easy to see that they're used to dealing with many problems! If you don't want to spend much money and plan to spend most of the days out, Broadmore Hotel could be a valid option!!

The staff are really friendly and the Taquiza restaurant is nice, I’ll give them that. But trust me If the weather is cloudy, this hotel will make you feel depressed it is old with dark hallways. Rooms and bathrooms are small, no cleaning service, and there’s construction between the beach and hotel. If you’re staying here and not so sunny weather is expected, my advice is lower your expectations. One of my friends went back home early because the hotel was depressing him. I got more service from the CVS across the street than from the hotel itself because it doesn’t provide enough shampoo, conditioner and body wash for 4+ nights, you’re better off buying your own at the store. Not to mention there’s no hand soap, tv or trash cans other than the small one at the bathroom (there is a trash can outside though). It also said online they provide blow dryers but my room didn’t.

If you’re looking for a place to stay and you don’t care about where you sleep, then this is the place. Location is amazing as any food you want is a small walk away. The restaurant downstairs is pretty amazing. However, hotel is dated and not for anyone who wants frills. Bottom of the doors in our room were cracked, there was a lack of outlets, swimming pool is dirty and cold, and the shower leaked. Also, our outlet exploded and was never fixed. And, the fridges don’t get cold and stay at room temperature. All in all, a very average hotel that is simply older and not for someone who wants luxury.

I am a 69 year old solo female travelling to Miami for leisure and family visit. I too got second thoughts and my husband encouraged me to trust this place. I was given a room on the top floor overlooking the ocean and it was a very large room with walk in closet. The room was clean and housekeeping daily. It was short walk to the beach and towel/chairs were available for a modest $18 charge. There is a taco restaurant on site and several visitors I treated to food and they loved it. I was not afraid to walk in the neighborhood and met some fascinating people in my travels. I was there to attend the Miami Motel Stories series and had bought the entire 4 night series. It was a sellout crowd and alot of fun and history woven into it. I would not think twice about returning. Staff was fun and interactive. Great stay

The elevator was broken and we were placed on the 7th floor. I have a medical condition and couldn't continue up and down the stairs. I made staff aware and nothing could be done. We couldn't get our room cleaned because they said they only clean it every three days due to covid which is ridiculous because given a virus you'd want to clean it daily. We ran out of towels but because they didn't want to walk the stairs themselves to help out so we were required to bring them down to get new ones. They staff wouldn't do what they expected us to do (coming up and down 7 flights of stairs). The staircase was fitly with stains and spills on the carpet. There was no soap dish in the shower so every time you needed to sit the soap down in the shower you'd have to open the shower door and throw it in the sink (which is disgusting) and you'd in turn wet up the whole floor. There was no towel racks so you'd have to not only use the same towel but find a place to throw it on the floor or otherwise since there was no where to hang it.
Our refrigerator didn't work so even after walking up stairs you couldn't get a cold drink. I hated this experience and it was super expensive. I'm going to continue to complain about my stay because for the money that I paid (more than $500 for 2 nights) this shouldn't have been the case. Do not stay here. It's very old and dirty.

I was seriously freaking out about all the bad reviews on this hotel. I kept telling my husband please don't kill me when we check in. We got a super cheap flight, but I didn't realize south beach hotels are like $500 to $900 a night. I luckily found this place for around $100 a night. I'm just going to write everything I loved. First everyone that works there was so nice! Its easy check in and out. There is a wonderful Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel. the margaritas and guac/chips are so GOOD! Its a dollar an hour to park from 8am to 6pm if you have a car. The lot is right there. We took ubers everywhere. Its around $14 to get all the way to south beach one way. That is so good! You can also rent a citi bike for an hour to get to south beach for $6. The bike rental is right next to the hotel. You can basically walk right onto the beach. There are chairs, towels, beautiful water! We took drinks down to the beach everyday. Room is clean. It is not the ritz, but has everything you need. Bed was big and comfortable, has a fridge to keep drinks cold. Shower is small, but has plenty of towels and soap.shampoo. There is a small closet that has an ironing board. and the view out from the room you can see the sunrise every morning. We loved our stay there and would recommend to everyone traveling on a budget. There are tons of restaurants to walk to right next to the hotel. There is a cvs and Walgreens to grab the essentials. The elevator is not small and it is not like staying in a jail cell like I've seen in some reviews. I am so happy we chose this place. There is a pool too, that is really nice, but it was too cold to go in, but it is January. Thanks Broodmoor, you are awesome and we will never forget our first trip to south beach!

Let me just put it this way, the only thing decent about this hotel was the location to the beach and 20 mins away from South Beach Nightlife. I can’t say anything else good about this place. My cousin kept saying it looks like what a jail cell would look like. The bathroom is disgusting!!! We didn’t even shower until we got on our cruise. Thank goodness we only stayed a day! Anyone could walk into the hotel, I didn’t see any security at night and the door was left open. Please if you read this do yourself a favor and do not book. I have never left a negative comment for a hotel before like this but it had to be said.

The area around the hotel is all boarded up. The pictures must have been taken 20 years ago. This is probably the worst hotel I have stayed in. The glass windows all around the lobby haven't been cleaned in years. Theres a resort fee and this is definitely not a resort! There were no towels available to go to the beach and at check in the chairs you get at the beach you find out are only available til 5pm! The pool was unavailable due to work at the back of the building. We saw and heard no work. The room wreaked of cigarette smoke my 5 year old commented! There were 5 channels on the TV that came in. The accommodations were less than decent and the bathroom was disgusting. Everything was poorly painted and the refrigerator in the room is actually a cooler we were told. Its an old fridge not plugged in.
The hotel looks on the verge of closing down
Do not waste your money
Oh yeah and you have to pay to park and there are lots of homeless people hanging out!

Customer service was terrible and the hotel itself was a nightmare. The room was old and dirty. The sheets were dirty, bath tub was old and rusty, restroom did not have water service on the last day, no phone to call front desk. It started off with no hot water and then no water at all. 3 days. I did mention this to the front desk and seemed to have not cared. TV & phone didn’t work. We told the staff and they said internet was having problems and that they would look into it. Window a/c unit, paper-thin walls … could very easily hear everything in our neighbor’s room.

The door entrance has homeless men sleeping on the patio area and lingering in the lobby to cool down, clearly on drugs and begging for money. When I arrived I was sent next door to their co building , their main building rooms were just as bad. The pool area was a joke we didn’t dare enter that pool. It’s unclean, unkept, dirty, tools everywhere. The entire buildings are on its last leg. Everyone we spoke to that was checked in were also disappointed and upset. Their website is a lie those photos are not those rooms! here there are drug dealers that sit in the front of hotel and several homeless people. I asked them to give other room becoase we could not use our bathroom no water fro 3 days. They moved us to the building which had no front staff and it was incredibly unsafe with the homeless/ dealers hanging out in the lobby that could easily walk through - we didn’t sleep comfortable felt unsafe.

Our room was NEVER cleaned before we had gotten there. The hotel reeked of urine and drugs. People walked up to us asking did we want to buy marijuana. And I walked the majority of two days looking for rooms that didn’t fit the description on Booking.com None of the pics justifies the room. I end up on February 22 paying almost $200 more for a place we feel safer - Seaside apartmets.

yo please pay the extra money for a nicer hotel. air conditioning doesn’t work in any of the rooms we’ve moved 3 times, no phone in the room to contact front desk nor do they pick up the phone when you call on your cell. there was construction starting at 7AM every morning if my stay. crackheads staying here screaming at each other in the lobby where one of them proceeded to threaten me as i was walking to my room from the beach. the list could go on and on do not stay here the only positive thing about this place is it’s right next to the beach. heads up the “resort fee” only covers the chairs not the umbrella we were never told that and they made us give them another $20 on top of the $100 resort fee.
